The Story: A. The Slice-of-Life Before the Storm [Day One]

[At first, Ishimaru is lost in the novelty of the setting. It's a Western-a yes suburban home. How quaint!

One can find him outside his house, trying out a number of chores. At different times of the day, he waters the plants, mows the lawn, checks the mail, and one may even catch him trying on a sweater vest over his school uniform!

Eventually he'll think to check his communicator, and his newfound life of suburban bliss will start to come to an end. But until then, he'll assume this is another kind event like the ski lodge was. And so as he carries out his chores, he will call out to anyone he sees with a cheery and enthusiastic greeting! Hi diddly ho neighborinos!]

B. In Your Heeaaad [Day Three]

[Of course, that feeling can't last. The situation turns out to be much more dire, and Ishimaru is soon on the run for his life, armed only with a club.

You can find Ishimaru trying desperately to flee from some walkers! He could probably use some help escaping this alive - or maybe someone else might need his help eluding the zombies!

Or someone can find him hiding in an alley or someplace out of the way, breathing heavily as he hopes to not be caught by any of them!]

C. Not so Funded [Day Three]

[Ishimaru could also be found at a less hectic time, after finding shelter in one of the houses. He works dutifully on boarding everything up and fortifying the house.

Perhaps someone else made it in with him and is helping him prepare the shelter. Or maybe someone is on the outside, hoping to seek sanctuary with him?]

[Wasn't there a time when Mikan ran to Ishimaru's rescue, grabbing his hand and pulling them away from danger? Wouldn't it be nice to pay her back?

Good! Because, Ishimaru, while you're hiding in the alley, you'll definitely be hearing Mikan screaming as she runs as fast as she can from you know what.]

Nooooooo! Please, noooo! Help meeee!

[moraloutrage]

[He would like to do that, even if she hadn't saved him in the past! Ft his hiding spot, he is quickly alert when he hears that familiar voice.]

Tsumiki-kun?

[He can't leave her. Kiyotaka clutches his club, closes his eyes pensively for just a moment and then rushes out to her aid.]

Tsumiki-kun!! [He's scared out of his mind, but he still moves quickly and beats some of the advancing walkers back with desperate swings of his club!]

[naughty_nurse]

[That voice - ! She stumbles over her own feet, hitting the ground. She scrambles to sit up, startled.]

I-Ishimaru?! You're okay!

[Phew, that's one less person to worry about... if the walkers weren't around.]

[moraloutrage]

That's right! It - it is good to see you that you seem to be unharmed, Tsumiki-kun.

[While the walkers are at bay for the moment, he hurries over towards her and extends a hand to try to help her up.]

Aside from the current danger, are you alright?!

[naughty_nurse]

[She grabs his hand, holding onto him tightly as she stands.]

Y-Yes, I haven't been infected... B-But we have to get out of here!

[moraloutrage]

I- I am very relieved to hear that! [He says with a swift nod of his head.] You are correct... Let us retreat swiftly!!

[He keeps a hold on her with his free hand and starts running forward! And not a moment too soon, as the walkers resume their Chase!]

[Mikan runs as fast as she can, but panic overwhelms her, sobbing as they go.]

Please, please, please, not again...

[Dorian was smart enough to have checked the network. He is obviously not very happy about this, especially when he sees Ishimaru mowing the lawn like it was just a normal day.]

What on earth are you doing?! Didn't you see the network?

[moraloutrage]

[Ishimaru had tried to greet him happily, but his grin starts to falter at what he says.]

The network? Ah... I am sorry to admit that I misplaced my communicator, so I am not sure what you refer to! Has- has something happened?

... Unfortunately.

One moment, please... [He scrolls through the network's latest posts until he finds a video he wants Kiyokata to see.]

[moraloutrage]

[His eyes widen in horror as he watches the broadcast.]

Z-zombies?!

[theothermrgray]

[Yes, Zombies.]

... At least they'll be visible this time.

[A small comfort, really. Dorian was not a fighter in the slightest, but he has been meaning to learn.]

Perhaps you should focus your energy into converting this house into some sort of fort?

My house... into a fort?

Yes, I... I suppose that is all that I should do...

B

[idolings]

[The dark alley way seemed like a safe place to hide and catch her breath... at least for now. This event felt like it was out of some strange nightmare. Sayaka's face was pale as she was hiding behind one of the trashcans in the alley way. Soon enough, she could hear the sounds of heavy breathing nearby. Was it another one of those walkers? As much as she didn't want to do this, it was kill or be killed in this universe.

She absolutely did not want to die!

Her whole body was shaking as she nervously clutched onto her kitchen knife. Slowly, she moved closer and closer towards the source of the sound. It was so dark and it was hard to see exactly who or what it was. She was still shaking as she held out her knife just to be safe.

However, when she finally catches a good glance at the mysterious figure, Sayaka's eyes grow wide from shock.]

Ishimaru-kun?!

[Things had quickly escalated into a nightmare, and so Ishimaru tried to calm himself down from his panic in the alleyway. He may have seen a few dead bodies in the past, but seeing the reanimated dead was its own horror that didn't leave his mind easily.

When he hears a voice suddenly nearby, he's startled and quickly looks towards the figure while clutching his club defensively.

...But he knows that voice, and his expression softens as he looks towards.]

M- Maizono-kun?! [Hope rises in his voice. He's been worried sick about his schoolmates, and now here one is! He hopes that she's alright...!]

[idolings]

Oh thank goodness, I'm so happy to see you.

[Running into Ishimaru was a huge relief. She had been worried about all of her friends and it made her feel so elated to see him alive. Sayaka puts her knife down and approaches him, closing the distance between them.]

A-Are you okay?

[moraloutrage]

It really is you! [He exclaims happily as she approaches. He's almost tempted to hug her, but that would just be improper!]

I- I am very relieved to see you here, and without any visible injuries. [He puts on a brave face.] Additionally, I currently feel alright! Or, perhaps, as 'alright' as one can feel in these circumstances!

[Ishimaru looks towards her in concern.]

But... Please tell me, Maizono-kun. Are you alright?

[idolings]

[Just the sight of him was enough to cause her to smile. Even if they were in a life or death situation, she felt so happy to see him that it was beginning to diffuse her worries.]

Y-Yes! I'm happy to see that you don't have any noticable injuries as well. I've been so worried about you ever since we got thrown in this event.

[She nods at him.]

I'm okay! Like you, I'm alright as I can be in this situation! I haven't gotten infected or anything, so that's one perk.

[moraloutrage]

[He does manage to calm himself down now that she is here and unharmed.]

I am extremely relieved to hear this, Maizono-kun! I myself was quite worried... but it seems that we are doing alright!

If we keep to hiding places and remain careful, then we should be able to make it through this nightmare!

[ Morty's got the general idea of what's going on and what it means will likely wind up happening before the event ends. It was a little hard to miss between the network and Rick being... Rick about it. Tons of laser pistols sitting around in Fort Rick right now.

He definitely wants to take advantage of the relative quiet while he can. If zombies are legitimately involved here, Morty knows better than to hope everything won't be going to hell eventually.

This dude watering plants, though... what. ]

Uh. H-hey. I'm not lookin' to judge or anything, but you don't have to go around watering plants and all that, you know? This is basically all gonna be gone in like, a week.

[moraloutrage]

[But these lilies are coming in beautifully!

Ishimaru's smile becomes just a bit strained as he faces this other young man.]

Hm... Is that so? I must thank you for not judging me so quickly! Although I understand what you are saying, I cannot agree with it! It does not matter if these flowers will not last. Whether they will go away tomorrow or the day after that, I won't use this as an excuse to not put my all into the work of today! I have decided that my mission of right now is to be the most responsible homeowner that I can be, and I refuse to falter in that mission, my neighbor!

[ Well. True on the lily front, honestly. Attaching genuine meaning to something that could very well skip out of existence at any given moment? Morty can and can't relate all at once. ]

Jeez. You're kinda super into this idea, huh? Like, having work ethic and stuff.

[He responds with an intense energy!]

That is correct! Thank you for noticing that. I have chosen the path of hard work, and so I absolutely have to aim for an impeccable work ethic at every task that I set myself to! With the power of hard work, essentially anything can be made possible! Maybe... maybe even these flowers will live on!

[ How is he... a real living creature, damn. ]

Oh man, you think so? [ Morty absolutely doesn't, but he'd feel really bad trying to stamp out this guy's agricultural dreams. No one needs to actively pursue that Rick-ass unnecessary meanness. ] That would- i-it would be pretty cool if that actually happened one of these times, for sure. Getting something you like and having it disappear overnight sorta does you in on souvenirs. It's like, w-what are you even supposed to do?

[Ishimaru smiles at the other boy's response.]

Yes, exactly! It seems that you understand the situation precisely, young man. Well done!

And if this is successful, than it shall prove one other thing. That all of our problems here can be solved by hard work! Maybe this can stir up some more positive energy within our populace that is sorely needed!
