Summary: Georgia Mason, head of After the End Times and well-known Newsie, is here at the Republican National Convention ready to make some NEWS.
The Story:

The Republican National Convention is a fucking madhouse, but Georgia's used to that. Weeks in on the campaign trail, she's working harder than ever and driving herself to near death trying to run a site and write and cover everything that happens during the election. She's got plenty of betas and interns, of course, and they help, but she still pushes herself to cover as much of everything as she can.

She's here, a vision of journalistic integrity in black and white, sunglasses firmly planted on her face and press pass clipped to her blazer. If she sees a politician or someone else that looks even mildly interesting, she's likely to approach, recorder in hand.

"Excuse me? Georgia Mason, After the End Times. Do you have time for a few words?"

[Cissie can't help laughing at Peter and Tim, but it's a fond laugh. They're such nerds, but they're theirs, this strange little family they've built, the overworked, underpaid and terrorized-by-Masons-and-loving-it interns of After the End Times. As far as Cissie's concerned, this convention is the best thing she's ever had the chance to do, and most of that is because they actually get to sit in a room together eating pizza and playing silly games.

She turns to MJ and points at her with a pizza slice.]

( after all these years of friendship and now officially living together, mj should've probably seen this coming from her roommate. she'd been staring at peter as he picked himself up off the floor, because what a total weirdo, but her attention focuses to cissie once she's chosen to go first.

since there isn't much that cissie doesn't already know and mj is a wild card by nature: )

( peter just shoves his pizza into his mouth like he doesn't notice mary jane staring at him on the floor. clearly, he only acts completely normal and not weird or goofy at all. wow, this stringy cheese sure is interesting, ahem. )

You're gonna have to think of a good dare for Mary Jane. ( his bff is very adventurous. )

I think Cissie's up to the challenge. [Tim grins over at Peter. For the time being, he's glad that the girls' targets are each other--the longer it is before it's his turn to be at the mercy of their imaginations, the happier he is.]

( clementine nods her approval too. the ladies are seriously kickass like that. she looks up to cissie and mary jane a lot. she likes mary jane chose dare instead of truth. ) Cissie's got this.

( she declares this firmly as she takes a bite of her pizza like a normal person instead of shoving it into her mouth, ahem. )

[Cissie does have this. She sits back and smiles a little dangerously at MJ.]

MJ, I'm thirsty. I dare you to bring me one of Georgia's cokes. It doesn't count if it comes from a vending machine.

[dramatic]

( mj gulps. even someone as bold as mary jane watson thinks twice before going anywhere near georgia's stash. of course, she can't show that. gotta bluster until she makes it. she stands with a cheerful smile, wagging her pointer finger at them. )

Don't have too much fun without me.

( to peter, she whispers: ) It was nice knowing you.

( then she's off to see if she can snag that coke. pray for her. )
