Summary: Georgia Mason, head of After the End Times and well-known Newsie, is here at the Republican National Convention ready to make some NEWS.
The Story:

The Republican National Convention is a fucking madhouse, but Georgia's used to that. Weeks in on the campaign trail, she's working harder than ever and driving herself to near death trying to run a site and write and cover everything that happens during the election. She's got plenty of betas and interns, of course, and they help, but she still pushes herself to cover as much of everything as she can.

She's here, a vision of journalistic integrity in black and white, sunglasses firmly planted on her face and press pass clipped to her blazer. If she sees a politician or someone else that looks even mildly interesting, she's likely to approach, recorder in hand.

"Excuse me? Georgia Mason, After the End Times. Do you have time for a few words?"

( Clementine's mouth forms a thin serious line at the thought. She's not anywhere near being old enough to vote herself, but she wants to get involved. She wants to change things. That's the promise of After the End Times. Don't let people lose themselves in ignorance. )

It's wild how everything can change, huh? Did you find any who would give you the time or did you just make them give you the time? ( She smirks since that's her joking. a little. )

Little bit of both. [Her smirk is knife sharp. As Stacy and Michael Mason's daughter, some people were willing to grant her interviews despite her age and relative anonymity. She hated feeling like she was getting anything from her parents, no matter how indirectly, so the ones she got through persistence and cleverness were a lot more fun.] It wasn't as successful as I hoped, but it was still better than I feared. Getting started is always hard.

( Clementine's smile widens as Georgia explains. She figures it has to be difficult at first to get going, to start, to be heard by anyone. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Still it's hard for Clementine to wrap her head around the fact, because of what she knows about Georgia and how it's all going now. ) And now look at you!

( Clementine laughs. ) Woah, those are some intense expectations, Georgia, but I'd hate to disappoint you. So I guess I'll make it happen.

You will. [There's no doubt in her tone, or even supportive enthusiasm. She states it as matter-of-factly as she would anything else. She hired Clementine because she's good. There's no reason she shouldn't be in as good a position as Georgia next time.] I should get back to work. [She gives her empty Coke can a regretful look. Well, she can get more when she needs it. Which will be soon. She doesn't even remember the last full night of sleep she got.]
