open } if you're looking for that nice girl from the day before

Who: Georgia Mason, the crew of After the End Times, and YOU
Where: Republican National Convention
When: the year 2040. But also all through the event.
Rating: idk PG-13, will update if it gets higher.
Summary: Georgia Mason, head of After the End Times and well-known Newsie, is here at the Republican National Convention ready to make some NEWS.
The Story:

The Republican National Convention is a fucking madhouse, but Georgia's used to that. Weeks in on the campaign trail, she's working harder than ever and driving herself to near death trying to run a site and write and cover everything that happens during the election. She's got plenty of betas and interns, of course, and they help, but she still pushes herself to cover as much of everything as she can.

She's here, a vision of journalistic integrity in black and white, sunglasses firmly planted on her face and press pass clipped to her blazer. If she sees a politician or someone else that looks even mildly interesting, she's likely to approach, recorder in hand.

"Excuse me? Georgia Mason, After the End Times. Do you have time for a few words?"

[Come get interviewed, or reply one of the starters below! If none of them work poke me at [plurk.com profile] antivillain and I can set something up.]

“Honestly, it’d probably be more explainable if it was Batman.” Shepard’s a bona-fide master at awful jokes, but this situation does actually worry her. “Could be to cause panic. Could be to try and see a candidate step up and take over the whole thing with crisis management. And you can’t rule out someone who just wants to watch the world burn.”

She sighs again, heavy, cocking her hip a bit as she shifts the weight between her feet. She wants to strategize, make some sort of plan, but the impulsiveness in her is yelling to start running and find someone responsible for this. "I still say it's someone desperate enough to try and use it as a campaign ploy. Get everyone riled up and then save the day. Only person who'd probably have enough connections to get their hands on it, anyway."

"Yeah. I'm not a fan, either." Her mind's already racing for what she can do with this, something to get this out to her viewers. "I'm not sure if adding more publicity would help or hurt at this point. If they're looking for a media scandal, they're gonna get it, but I'd kinda like this story to be over before someone dies."

"Minimum is always best." Just because she's an Irwin doesn't mean she wants to see other people die. In fact, most of her dangerous scenarios are making sure other people don't.

"I dunno how to even start with this, to be honest. Where the fuck do we even start?"

She sighs, chewing on the inside of her lip a little. Unfortunately, she is an Irwin, and that means she wants to punch this problem faster than she wants to science it.

"That's gonna be a damn long list, considering we're spending the weekend with some of the most high profile rich assholes this side of the continent." She shifts her weight again to her other foot, obviously impatient. "Not to mention that whoever it is could strike again, if we're not careful. We need to do something fast."

She hums pensively, trying to get her head around what to do, finally dropping her hands when she has something resembling a plan.

"Look. We're at an event with the highest percentage of bloggers from anywhere. So we do what we do best. We turn up the heat. No stone unturned, no politician unharassed. See what bends. She what breaks." She's already urging to move, shifting her weight from foot to foot. "And hey, if somebody needs to be reminded that they're not invincible, I can already think of about fifteen ways to let them catch these hands."
