Who: Ryoko and you!
Where: The Gardens
When: October 15th
Rating: PG
Summary: Ryoko exploring the gardens!
The Story:
Today, Ryoko can be found outside, strolling around the gardens with her notebook open, writing down her observations and notes about it. She thinks she should have had notes on this place, but there's nothing in her book. There's some notes about a flood during a prior event, so maybe they were lost then?
Or maybe she never wrote anything down beyond that the gardens existed. Most of her notes about Wonderland's geography pertain to inside the mansion, so she must've thought this place wasn't important. It had nothing to do with her.
But she did write that she was going to try and not write things off as having nothing to do with her as often as she used to, and yes the note's old, but since she noticed it again today, she's trying to correct what was probably an oversight on her part.
So she'll be spending most of her day out here, this way when she forgets about this place again, she'll at least have her notes to fall back on if she decides to visit this part of the grounds again.

"That's a smart thing to do. Have you found out anything interesting from looking around?"
With all the events that go down in Wonderland, notes about the Garden could come in handy one day.

She frowns, checking her notes to make sure. And yup, that's about right.
“Um, they look nice, and it's probably a good thing that I have notes about them, but I don't think there's anything that stands out. Not more than anything in Wonderland anyway.”
The stables are curious and some of the garden plots raise a few questions, but she doesn't think any of that is going to be important anytime soon. Though she does have a question while she's looking through her notes.
“Do you think there was anything like this at the academy?"
Of course, she's forgotten that there's really no one here that can answer that question one way or the other. Well, aside from what's in her other notebook about the layout of the school, but she's forgotten that too.

"That's good to know! I guess at least we can count on the gardens being safe for now. You did good, Otonashi-san."
She smiles at her, but then at her question she immediately starts to ponder.
"Hm, I wonder. From what I can remember about the school, the first floor and the dorms were avaliable to us. We couldn't go up to the second floor or outside."
Now that she's thinking about it, that was rather odd. Why weren't they allowed to explore the rest of the school? Maybe should ask Ishimaru or Oowada if they knew anything.
"I would like to think that the school at least had some garden! I believe most schools do?"
no subject
Sayaka's class could only access the dorms and the first floor.
“I'm not sure, but I think you're right? There probably was one. I wonder if I've ever been there.”
She'll think about that one, drawing a complete blank because of course she's going to draw a blank. She doesn't have any memories of that at all. On the bright side, this moment of pointless wondering comes to an end quickly enough, so the whole conversation isn't about to reset with her asking who Sayaka is.
“Um, sorry. Since your class couldn't see anything like that, I probably shouldn't have brought something like that up."
no subject
"That's fine! It's natural to be curious and I don't mind. It was our school after all, so it's perfectly understandable.
There's a slight delay as Sayaka contemplates how to bring this next thing up without sounding too auspicious. She fully trusted Ryoko and was certain that she would forget it, but she still didn't want to trouble her.
"If you are still curious, then maybe you can also ask Ishimaru-kun one day? I believe he's actually from a time period a few days ahead of me. He might have more information on any other floors in the building."
For various reasons...
no subject
That's news to her. So she'll write that one down too. She's a little confused as to how that works, but it's okay, it's Wonderland. Lots of things are confusing. Even for the people who have a functioning memory.
“I'll have to ask then. And see if my other book has more notes on what Hope's Peak Academy was like. Um, that way if I have any drawings of the gardens or anything I could show you what they look like.”
Because she's just as curious about it at this point. Which will probably stop once she forgets, but for now she's definitely interested in all of this.

There's a bit of hesitation but she does manage to nod her head in response. She was certain that this was more than likely going to sound really odd. If she were in Ryoko's shoes, it would definitely be weird.
Mentally, she's sighing in relief. At least Ryoko didn't ask for details, because she wouldn't be sure where or how to begin with how she knew that Ishimaru was from a farther time period.
"Oh! Yes please. If you have them, I would love to know what the Gardens were like! Along with Hope's Peak in general. Maybe from your notes, we might be able to put our heads together and figure out some of the mysteries."
It was worth a shot, they didn't have much information on Hope's Peak but maybe Ryoko's notes could shed some light on things.
"If you need help digging through your notebooks, I'll be happy to help!"
no subject
So that's her and Minato that have offered to help with that today. It's nice to know she has friends that can help her with things like that. They can have a notebook party. Except that is a terrible idea for a number of reasons none of which Ryoko can remember at this time, so they won't be detailed here.
“There we go. And um, my notes might be able to help. Depending on what I have. I'd have to go back to my room and check.”
But since she was a student, in addition to whatever that earlier paragraph was talking about, she probably has maps and details and all sorts of things, which probably could help with figuring some things about Hope's Peak Academy's layout. Or just add to the confusion of it all.

Now she just had to remember to remind her. Maybe she should make herself a note to remind herself to remind Ryoko about offering to help. ... Ok that was a bit of a doozy to say.
Pushing that thought aside, it made her happy that Ryoko agreed to her offer. She didn't want to feel as though she was breeching her friend's privacy by looking through her notebooks.
"I'm looking forward to seeing what you have! Whatever it may be, I'm sure it will be of help. It'll be nice to know what Hope's Peak was like before that awful game happened. Thank you for your kind offer, Otonashi-san!"
At this point, Sayaka was getting desperate for some sort of answers, no matter how little or confusing they may be.
no subject
She can't remember where she was going with this.
"Everything else, I guess?"
That sounds about right.
"I just hope they're helpful."
Since she kind of can't remember what's in them at the moment, but they should be. There's information about the grounds, and the buildings, and a certain old building that's probably not important. And other things! That are probably even less important.
no subject
That's how little of Hope's Peak she got to saw...
"Who knows! Should I ever leave and if I can somehow remember your notes, it could help my class in order to escape the killing game."
While she had her doubts that she would actually be able to remember anything once she left Wonderland, it was still a nice miracle to think about. Should it happen, Ryoko would be like a hero for her class.
no subject
She does, she really does. Even if she won't remember anyone after leaving Wonderland or...even after she's done talking to them, she's still happy thinking about the fact that she might be able to stop something so horrible.
“Um, even if it's not, I'll still do my best to help, just in case it is.”
She really doesn't want any of her friends to be murdered, okay? That's bad.
no subject
Even if they couldn't do much now, just getting some kind of support from her friend made her more than happy. Seeing Ryoko's smiling face everyday brought her joy and she was so glad she was able to have a friend like her.
"Well, I'll leave you be! I hate to take up too much of your time. I hope you enjoy yourself at the garden!"
