Summary: A catch all for the Horrible Memory Truth Event!
The Story:

For the duration of this event, everyone's entire room will be replaced with a memory playing on loop. They will likely recognize the moment as soon as they see it – it is a moment they remember as the worst moment of their entire lives. It could be a memory from home or something that happened in Wonderland. Lengths of the memories will vary, but they will find that these are not memories they can merely watch – they can step into these memories and attempt to make changes to them, and the memories will be long enough that they have time to make changes (though no more than 24 hours). However, anyone who tries will find that it is futile. No matter what you do or how hard you try, the outcome is always exactly the same somehow. No changes you make will prevent that horrible outcome. It just happens over and over and over again no matter what you do.

On top of that, perhaps complicating any attempts to make changes, everyone will be forced to be honest for the duration of the event. No lies or half-truths are allowed, and filters will be gone for the entire five days. If something bothers someone then they will blurt it out, regardless of whether or not it hurts someone's feelings, and no one will be able to simply keep quiet when they have something to say. They must be truthful and honest with every word they say.

This is a catch-all log for all of your Worst Memory needs! Please mark your threads clearly in the subject line with your character's name and Room Number + Floor for character rooms, or just location if you're making a top level for a public place in the mansion (like the tea rooms or the kitchen) so people can see if there's already a thread available. Mine was ... I don't think as horrible as some. And I didn't die this time, which makes it a bit better. That's lucky for me, not everyone.

[Because he's already talked to some who did die in those visions, and relived it. At least he'd forgone though.]

I died once in Marrakesh Two and a half minutes, though I imagine deaths here are nothing like the way back home.

[From Red's tone, whatever his room hid was worse than whatever caused him to actually die.]

I watched my daughter die, minutes after becoming a mother herself. I know now that she's fine, but the feelings from that moment. [He shakes his head.]

It depends on how you died. Coming back is easier than the deaths.

[Part of him thinks if he keeps talking about it, he'll stop having nightmares about it.]

It was in Marrakesh as well. About six hours later was when the problems set in. How bad was yours?

It was the most terrible moment of my life, and considering the one I've lived? That says a lot.

I... I drown in my first event here. The mansion flooded with water, and I lost my wand and got flustered and next thing I knew, it was the next day and I was having trouble speaking for a few days but that seemed to have cleared up.

[It's never easy talking about it, even if Newt tries to pretend otherwise, even with his dropped gaze and avoiding eye contact. Not that either is unusual.]

Drowning is not a good way to go from what I've gathered. It almost happened to me, after being stung by a lion fish. If it wasn't for the kindness of a woman, I wouldn't be standing here today.

[Dying or almost dying is never easy to talk about.]

Most of it is my own making, I'm used to it for the most part, but watching Elizabeth like that, it's something I can't stand to see ever again.

Oh. My. I'm so sorry you've been through that. It was fairly horrific, but because of this place I've survived. All I can keep doing it surviving, to keep going on.

Many say that events that happens here only repeat once. If that's true, then you're likely not to encounter it again as you have.

It's not the best I've had but, it's better than nothing.

I admit, in our world there's levels of alcohol but I'm not sure they're as different as they are in the muggle world. Some others have mentioned it though.

[Taking the glass, he took a sip though very cautiously.]

Does the closet discriminate against the kind of drinks that it gives you?

How is alcohol different where you're from?

[He's not surprised alcohol's different in a world full of Wizards, but knowing the difference would be good, if he ever wanted to try it himself.]

I can't ask for a specific brand, that's the most disappointing feature really.

They tend to be magically enhanced. Firewhisky is a bit of a burn that can give you some courage. Gigglewater lives up to its name.

[Though he wasn't as experienced with the later.]

Oh I see. That is troubling. I can see why that's a bother.

Two of the reasons most people here drink. Courage and to loosen up. The other popular one is to forget, which I think is what most people are doing tonight. I know I am.

[Red downs and refills his drink]

This is better than the first bottle I asked for when I first arrived.

I considered it, though I've never been that drunk. I think tomorrow I would just end up sick and still thinking about it. Sadly, I haven't many coping mechanisms but ignore it and keep moving on. Probably not the right choice either.

[He wasn't sure how to handle it, but drinking would likely just make him sick.]

Perhaps the longer you're here, the better it gets. Though you could check the establishments. They might have the kind you're looking for.

I've heard Lucifer's bar has a good selection. I've been meaning to head up there, but with everything else going on it hasn't been at the top of my list of things to do.

I was traveling so much before here that I never had the time. Now that I have the time, I'm just not sure.

It's not for everyone, that much is for sure. The last time I was in a club like that, I was looking for someone. I didn't have anytime to stop and socialize, which was just as well.

[Red's fairly comfortable in any situation life could throw at him, so if Newt ever decides to try out that bar scene, he'd have at least one person who'd join him.]
