Summary: A catch all for the Horrible Memory Truth Event!
The Story:

For the duration of this event, everyone's entire room will be replaced with a memory playing on loop. They will likely recognize the moment as soon as they see it – it is a moment they remember as the worst moment of their entire lives. It could be a memory from home or something that happened in Wonderland. Lengths of the memories will vary, but they will find that these are not memories they can merely watch – they can step into these memories and attempt to make changes to them, and the memories will be long enough that they have time to make changes (though no more than 24 hours). However, anyone who tries will find that it is futile. No matter what you do or how hard you try, the outcome is always exactly the same somehow. No changes you make will prevent that horrible outcome. It just happens over and over and over again no matter what you do.

On top of that, perhaps complicating any attempts to make changes, everyone will be forced to be honest for the duration of the event. No lies or half-truths are allowed, and filters will be gone for the entire five days. If something bothers someone then they will blurt it out, regardless of whether or not it hurts someone's feelings, and no one will be able to simply keep quiet when they have something to say. They must be truthful and honest with every word they say.

This is a catch-all log for all of your Worst Memory needs! Please mark your threads clearly in the subject line with your character's name and Room Number + Floor for character rooms, or just location if you're making a top level for a public place in the mansion (like the tea rooms or the kitchen) so people can see if there's already a thread available. The truth event is part of the reason he’s sort of hiding in his office. Only sort of though because if he really wanted to hide he would find and empty room and lock the door, but he’s holed up here trying to avoid saying things he doesn’t want to say.

“I had to relive the moment Teddy killed me.” Like that. He sighs because it just came out and he hadn’t intended to say it, Peter didn’t even know that was a thing that happened.

It's like getting hit by a train. Peter didn't know. He knew something had happened between Billy and the Teddy that was here before ( he can only imagine- only hope that's the fucking Teddy that he's talking about, because otherwise- Something not a lot of people know about Peter Parker? He's got a lot of rage, buried in him deep down, swallowed up by the last moment he ever let himself be completely free with his anger- the moment that led to his uncle's death, but it's there).

"What the hell?" His jaw locks. Protectiveness swells up in him. Anger does too. His hands become fists at his sides. "He tried to kill you?"

“He didn’t just try.” He says it bitterly, because that would be one thing. But he has succeeded and that had all but broken Billy for a long time. “The Teddy that was here before, not this one. Though I mean, they are both Teddy.” Only he wishes with all his heart that they aren’t. That it was a teddy that was from a different world because his Teddy would never do that. Would he?

He sighs and runs his hand through his hair. “Sorry, didn’t mean to just blurt that out. Damn event. Are you okay?”

Peter stares, horrified. He'd been horrified enough that he couldn't process it- it happened at all. He killed him so then it had to be Wonderland- He swallows, shaking his head then, because he doesn't want to linger on something Billy didn't want to even say. It's just-

"Yeah, I'm- I'm furious on your behalf, but. I'm fine," he says, waving a hand distantly. "I'm so sorry. When you said you had stuff to work through when it came to Teddy, I didn't know it was- it was that."

Because that goes above and beyond anything he could have imagined.

“Of course you didn’t, in what world would murder be the thing you have to work out with someone you love? Oh right, this world.” He lets out a frustrated noise because he normally would have waved this whole thing off. No big deal, it was fine. He was fine.

“This event is the worst. I need a drink- Wonderland giving people bad drinking habits since oh the beginning of time probably.” He needs to stop talking so he pulls out the bottle of bourbon he has stashed in his desk drawer (locked away from the youngins) and a glass before looking at Peter. “Want some?” Come on Pete let Wonderland make you an alcoholic too.

"Billy, it's bullshit. This Event- the fact that he did that to you, that any version of him did that to you. It's terrible. Horrific. This other version of him did it to you," Peter says quickly, and he makes a mental note to keep an eye out on Teddy from here on out. They've had D&D sessions, and he never would have guessed-

Never in a million years. He shoves his hands into his pockets, shaking his head.

"Uh, no. I don't drink."

It's a combination of growing up next door to a very abusive drunk, hearing him yell at his own family. He never wanted alcohol after that. Their name was Watson, and he knows now- he knows that's a part of Mary Jane's life- her world. He doesn't mind when others do though.

“I know it’s bullshit!” He snaps back, because Peter isn’t telling him anything he doesn’t know already and he’s been on edge since this whole thing started. He lets himself fall back into his chair and leans his elbows on the desk, head in his hands. “It’s all terrible and reliving it...reliving it when I’m aware of what’s going on no less. It’s like it’s two years ago and all the progress I made, all the steps with Teddy mean absolutely nothing, because I’m back there again getting strangled by the one person who was never supposed to hurt me.”

He glances up at Peter. “What am I supposed to do?”

Peter steps forward towards Billy, resting a hand on his shoulder when he sees him with his head in his hands. He tightens his hold on him briefly, sitting half on Billy's desk. "I- I don't- I don't really know," he says. This is so far out of his own emotional depth. "I think you have to let yourself be okay with setbacks. Reliving that? It's going to bring you right back again to what happened. You give yourself time. You talk to Billy. You take care of yourself, because you're important."

And he deserves to be taken care of, to be ready.

"Drink as much as you need. Talk to anyone you need or avoid the whole damn world even."
