Summary: A catch all for the Horrible Memory Truth Event!
The Story:

For the duration of this event, everyone's entire room will be replaced with a memory playing on loop. They will likely recognize the moment as soon as they see it – it is a moment they remember as the worst moment of their entire lives. It could be a memory from home or something that happened in Wonderland. Lengths of the memories will vary, but they will find that these are not memories they can merely watch – they can step into these memories and attempt to make changes to them, and the memories will be long enough that they have time to make changes (though no more than 24 hours). However, anyone who tries will find that it is futile. No matter what you do or how hard you try, the outcome is always exactly the same somehow. No changes you make will prevent that horrible outcome. It just happens over and over and over again no matter what you do.

On top of that, perhaps complicating any attempts to make changes, everyone will be forced to be honest for the duration of the event. No lies or half-truths are allowed, and filters will be gone for the entire five days. If something bothers someone then they will blurt it out, regardless of whether or not it hurts someone's feelings, and no one will be able to simply keep quiet when they have something to say. They must be truthful and honest with every word they say.

This is a catch-all log for all of your Worst Memory needs! Please mark your threads clearly in the subject line with your character's name and Room Number + Floor for character rooms, or just location if you're making a top level for a public place in the mansion (like the tea rooms or the kitchen) so people can see if there's already a thread available. [Ironically, Lucretia is spending this event doing her best to remain unseen. Forgotten.

As soon as she figured out about the truth, about needing to tell it, she was doing her best to avoid them both. Lucretia knows that eventually, she's going to have to go home and face the consequences of what she's done. They could hate her forever, and she wouldn't even blame them. She used them when she failed. She took them from everything in desperation, and in her worst moments, she thinks she would still do it again if it meant saving this plane. If it meant saving them all from themselves.

But that doesn't make it better when Magnus shows up, and she feels her throat choke, because she can't stop the words that are coming.]

[She knows he can't hear it. She knows it won't matter. She knows this is only going to get worse.]

[He slams his fist on the table, he doesn't cause any structural damage to the table (only a strength roll of 9 on that), but it is enough to cause a loud slam and knock any books she had in piles across the table.]

[Lucretia already looks desperate, clutching her journal to her chest in some form of comfort. Magnus... wouldn't hurt her. He'd never. He gets angry, sure, but--

She always can't help but jump to the worst conclusion. It's how she survives. So she straightens up, lets herself go serious. Push down your fear. Get through it.]

[She doesn't even know if that's kept out, but considering their relationships were axed, it might be. She'd usually talk around it, but thanks to Wonderland, she can't. She can only barrel ahead.

[She doesn't know how to explain this without Fisher. Without-- well, it's not even Fisher, really, but the child. Without the ichor, even if she found a way to make him understand, he'd just forget again. This is hopeless. An exercise in pain for them both.

And yet, she continues.]

I know this is confusing, and-- I never meant to hurt anyone. But it's necessary to save the world. All of it.

Hiding stuff from us was absolutely necessary?

[He'd drank the ichor from the voidfish, but apparently there was something else on top of the voidfish's memory blocking that was continuing to block certain things. Magnus thinks back to when he snuck into the voidfish's chambers, not too long ago.]

[It could lead to more static, but it's something he has to ask.]

The Voidfish told me something. Or at least it was trying to tell me something. Something about a baby...what do you know about that?

Yes, it was. If you all had known, you would have gotten hurt. I did what was best for everyone to stop the pain we had caused. I couldn't stand to see you all hurting. I had to do something.

[She wishes she could have left it at just the first line. But Magnus keeps pushing, and she has to answer, having no defenses to stop it.]

[She drops her head a little, looking mournful.]

What do you mean, "would have gotten hurt"? I've been hurt a bunch of times during various missions. Hell, we died a bunch back in Refuge to get that relic back. We all knew the risks when we took the job. Or at least I thought I knew all the risks, the ones that weren't static-ed out.

[Magnus isn't terribly surprised when the static hits again. That wasn't something that he was really expecting to be able to understand, but it does confirm his suspicious more.]

The Voidfish showed me things, visions of its past. Though I couldn't see a lot of it, most of it was static. It says it got separated from its family and it showed me one of the Red Robes taking it into a ship. I asked it if they were a prisoner, but it said no.

[This might be something that statics again, but he'll take the chance with the Zone of Truth like event going on right now.]

I'll ask you the same thing. Are you keeping the Voidfish prisoner?

It's not that kind of hurt, Magnus.

[Whatever. Trying to explain would only end him up in further circles. But he asks his next question, and she looks more seriously towards him.]

No. I'm not making it do anything it wouldn't naturally. But it doesn't have anywhere else to go.

[She knows the next bit will be gone, and she'd stop there if she could.]

The Red Robes were the ones that took the Voidfish from their home. How did you get it from them?

[With all this stuff he's learned (and not learned due to static) about Lucretia lately and the interactions he's had with the Red Robe (especially in the other Wonderland) and his own crisis about possibly being a Red Robe himself (which still makes his brain hurt), he's honestly not sure what he's supposed to believe about any of these groups.]

You might not think your evil, but I still don't think I can trust you. Not unless you can magically fix the static and start telling me the truth.

[Every word of this feels heavy. She wants to go on the defensive, so many answers to this, knowing he won't be able to hear any of them but wishing he could try.]

Before I came here, you were in my office, and you knew everything. It was right after Wonderland. After Taako and Merle tricked me into thinking you were dead.

What about this, just answer yes or no. This is probably gonna be static too but I gotta try. When we left Refuge, June gave me a paper with the original design for the statue in front of the town. It was her and her dad standing with a Red Robe. One of the pictures the face was covered, but the other one had my face.

I...I can't even say the words cause it fucks up my brain to even think about it, but does this mean what I think it means?

[The part about her office post-Wonderland catches him off guard. He was supposed to get some bad luck, but he hadn't gotten that far yet in their Wonderland. What this part of the bad luck or was there another reason for faking his death?]

[Unfortunately no one here could answer that. Taako was from a room or two before the last in Wonderland and Merle was still back home.]

It was impossible to track during the war due to its temporal nature, though they found it once or twice when they caught wind of a warlord or wizard just getting a touch too constantly lucky. But as always, the Voidfish is precise. He can't put it together. But she answers anyway, even if she's sure he won't be able to make sense of it.]
