Summary: A catch all for the Horrible Memory Truth Event!
The Story:

For the duration of this event, everyone's entire room will be replaced with a memory playing on loop. They will likely recognize the moment as soon as they see it – it is a moment they remember as the worst moment of their entire lives. It could be a memory from home or something that happened in Wonderland. Lengths of the memories will vary, but they will find that these are not memories they can merely watch – they can step into these memories and attempt to make changes to them, and the memories will be long enough that they have time to make changes (though no more than 24 hours). However, anyone who tries will find that it is futile. No matter what you do or how hard you try, the outcome is always exactly the same somehow. No changes you make will prevent that horrible outcome. It just happens over and over and over again no matter what you do.

On top of that, perhaps complicating any attempts to make changes, everyone will be forced to be honest for the duration of the event. No lies or half-truths are allowed, and filters will be gone for the entire five days. If something bothers someone then they will blurt it out, regardless of whether or not it hurts someone's feelings, and no one will be able to simply keep quiet when they have something to say. They must be truthful and honest with every word they say.

This is a catch-all log for all of your Worst Memory needs! Please mark your threads clearly in the subject line with your character's name and Room Number + Floor for character rooms, or just location if you're making a top level for a public place in the mansion (like the tea rooms or the kitchen) so people can see if there's already a thread available. And here's the plot post if you need it!

( yes, jon does like to depend on his super strength. it’s easier, than going out of his way to dodge things. people generally can’t knock him over, because jon firmly roots himself against whatever surface he has his feet on. but he knows that damian’s been drilling other stuff into his head since the day they started training, and he should probably start showing that he is, in fact, learning. damian’s foot goes for his leg, and jon jumps back, back arching as he holds his palms out to land on them. they barely even manage to touch the ground, however; as soon as his fingers are hitting the ledge, jon pushes off of them to cartwheel his way back up to his feet, quite a bit away from damian.

his hands raise after, fists held up just high enough to defend his chin. but there is a wide smile on his lips as he does. )

Someone's been working on their cartwheels. Good. [Damian says, but his voice and expression were still flat. The events of the day still weighing on his mind and a part of him still wanting to escape back to face his personal hell, even if he knew he shouldn't. Even if he knew Jon would just find him again. Like he always did.

He flips, hands never touching the ground and still landing dangerously close to the edge. He quickly closes the gap between him and swinging out to disarm the block but mostly to show him how then uppercutting him. It was satisfying to hit something, even more so because he knew it wasn’t hurting Jon. He was angry. He knew the anger was misplaced. Jon has been there for him through all this. The guy even found a reason to smile right now. He...was trying despite Damian still wanting to yell, scream and hurt something. He ducks an incoming hit, again it was pretty slow.]

Still having trouble dodging without using your super speed? You can go a little faster.

[He murmured thoughtfully, looking Jon in the eyes.] I'm adding a challenge. Disarm me. I'm going to put an explosive of you. Stop me without using super speed. If I blow you off this roof. You lose.

( cartwheels aren't exactly hard, damian. especially not when he's still small and light and perfectly capable of flipping himself around. and can fly. but jon will take the compliment regardless, the smile on his lips growing wider before he opens his mouth to thank him except.

then there's a fist coming for his face, and sure the impact doesn't hurt, but he shuts his mouth pretty fast to avoid biting into his tongue and takes a step backwards, hands moving down to his sides because damian's talking and setting new rules and he's gotta respond to them, right? )

Okay, but what counts as super speed? 'cause like. . all speeds seem pretty normal to me. ( he'll go slow if that's what damian wants him to do! it's not like explosives are really going to hurt him, either. )

[Don't use your powers to aid your cartwheels Kent. It kinda defeats the purpose of Damia's training here.

Damian wasn't exactly sure how to explain holding back your super speed since it'd been so long since he had any. This training was providing a challenge...]

Faster than me? We'll make the gauge I suppose. [He drops stance for a moment moving to stand next to Jon.] Let's try mimicking me for a while.

[Damian was faster than normal humans thanks to training but it was the only gauge he could think of right now... and just maybe if he trained Kent to be as fast as him it will stay with him if he ever found himself human again.] One. Two. Three.

[He says, using some hits and training stances he learned as a child.] On my count. Match my speed. [He watches Kent as they move.]

( right, he can do that. jon's eyes follow damian's every movement, memorizing the way he adjusts his stance, the way his fists swing, the angle he swings them at and how he twists his wrist mid-hit. watching, memorizing isn't hard for him. part of being half kryptonian is having enhanced memory, being able to watch something and mimic it perfectly which is exactly what jon's aiming for here.

it distracts damian, and it gives him something to focus on. jon takes a step back, drops his stance but still keeps eyes faced forward, watching, waiting. )

Right. I can do that.

[Damian watches the boy through his peripheral and eases up to watch Jon move on his own, seeing him get the hang of it.]

Good. [He pat Jon on the shoulder.] But never let your guard down Kent..

[He adds calmly, suddenly flipping back to gain some distance from Jon. When the boy looks over he might see a small device on his should start to rapidly blink then it explodes knocking him off the roof ledge.]

( his head turns to look towards his shoulder when he hears the radiowaves coming off of it--but it's two seconds too late, the device goes off, and jon's giving a startled yell as he loses his balance and falls off the edge.

all the way to the bottom, landing in one of the bushes surrounding the building. the shirt he had been wearing is in tatters now, thank you. jeans ripped, but at least he didn't kill his shoes this time. )

That almost hurt, Damian!!

[Damian looks down over the ledge when he hears Jon shouting something at him. Damian has no pity for your shirt Jon. Get over it, you can get a new shirt from the closets.]

Yeah, but just almost.

[The teen gives a small shrug, but makes note of the pain threshold or at least that he was approaching one.]

I warned you I would put an explosive on you. You failed to stop me. So I win. What’s my prize?
