Summary: A catch all for the Horrible Memory Truth Event!
The Story:

For the duration of this event, everyone's entire room will be replaced with a memory playing on loop. They will likely recognize the moment as soon as they see it – it is a moment they remember as the worst moment of their entire lives. It could be a memory from home or something that happened in Wonderland. Lengths of the memories will vary, but they will find that these are not memories they can merely watch – they can step into these memories and attempt to make changes to them, and the memories will be long enough that they have time to make changes (though no more than 24 hours). However, anyone who tries will find that it is futile. No matter what you do or how hard you try, the outcome is always exactly the same somehow. No changes you make will prevent that horrible outcome. It just happens over and over and over again no matter what you do.

On top of that, perhaps complicating any attempts to make changes, everyone will be forced to be honest for the duration of the event. No lies or half-truths are allowed, and filters will be gone for the entire five days. If something bothers someone then they will blurt it out, regardless of whether or not it hurts someone's feelings, and no one will be able to simply keep quiet when they have something to say. They must be truthful and honest with every word they say.

This is a catch-all log for all of your Worst Memory needs! Please mark your threads clearly in the subject line with your character's name and Room Number + Floor for character rooms, or just location if you're making a top level for a public place in the mansion (like the tea rooms or the kitchen) so people can see if there's already a thread available. [Souji nodded and went back through the door and into the alcove between their rooms, thinking that Minato would follow. He didn't take Minato's hand to lead him. Somehow, it seemed like he couldn't reach across the distance between them right now.

Pushing his own door open, he stepped back into the hospital room. The scene was much more still than that playing out in Minato's room--just a hospital bed with a little girl and the beep of the heart rate monitor. There was the murmuring of a doctor and a nurse nearby.]

That's Nanako.

[Souji gestured toward the bed. She looked close to death, so unlike the girl Souji knew.]

[Minato followed Souji into the room, quietly, respectfully, cautiously. He didn't know what to expect.

When he did see the scene though, his heart broke. It was a vast contrast against his own room.

He moved closer to the bed if he could, seeing Nanako or some phantom version of her. He had seen a picture of her from the Christmas gift that Souji had received, but again, the contrast. She wasn't the bright, lively girl that he had seen or had been told about.]

... You were so worried.

[Minato stood closer to Souji now, touching his arm.]

I didn't ask to see this again. And I didn't ask for it to be available for other people to see it.

[The heart rate monitor stops it's regular beep in exchange for a single, high-pitched tone. Souji takes a deep, quick breath in through his nose, as though tensing for something to happen. But it's just that sound until his uncle makes it into the room and repeats Nanako's name several times.]

[Of course he hadn't. No one had, not for any of their memories. Minato watched in silence, hearing instead all the other sounds in the room, as few as there were, but it was still deafening.

When the scene reset itself, Minato spoke again.]

You really didn't want me to know.

[But Minato could understand that. There were things inside Souji that Souji carried around that Minato would never know, things like this that Souji kept to himself.]

Knowing it and seeing it are different.

[Souji watched as the scene replayed, then turned to look at Minato.]

Let's go.

[He didn't want to be there anymore.]

[jivitadana]

[Minato nodded. If that's what Souji wanted, then they'd leave. Minato had seen it already, for his part.

When they left the room, the door closing behind them, Minato turned to Souji again, though he did glance back at the door.]

Thank you.

[He paused before continuing.]

But you're still not letting me in.

[Souji stopped in the alcove between their rooms and turned to look at Minato.]

I feel like I am.

[He dared to put his hand on Minato's arm.]

What can I do?

[jivitadana]

[Minato saw that hand on his arm, and touched his hand to Souji's.]

Stop posturing in front of me. If something hurts, show it. Tell me. Stop hiding.

[He lowered his head.]

I want to take care of you. But you won't ever let me.

[eatsyourscience]

...It feels unnatural to show things like that.

[It wasn't more comfortable to hide things. He didn't even think of it as hiding. He just did what he'd always done.]

[jivitadana]

I know. But I show you all of me because when I'm with you, I know I won't be hurt.

[It had taken Minato a long time to show any of that to anyone and he didn't show it to just anyone either. Just Souji.]

I know that you'll still love me when you see all of me. You don't think it's the same for me to you?

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji was silent, trying to gather his thoughts. They seemed scattered, and even being compelled to tell the truth didn't force them immediately into focus.]

Most days, what you see is what there is. I don't consciously keep things from you. And I do trust you with my self. All of me. You know what's in me. You've seen parts of me no one else has.

[jivitadana]

[Minato looked up at Souji and gave his hand another squeeze.]

I just wanted to hear that what I see is really you.

[eatsyourscience]

This is me. You see as much of me as I see of me.

[He won't claim that Minato knows every single thing about him. But he doesn't know every single thing about Minato, either. There was time for those blanks to be filled in. But those blanks weren't there because he had erased or hidden something.]

[jivitadana]

Okay.

[Minato nodded, then let go of Souji's hand if just to throw his arms around Souji and hug him tight.]

You're mine. All of you, like how all of me is yours.

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji nodded, embracing Minato in return, raising on hand to rest on Minato's head.]

Right. It's just like that.

[jivitadana]

[Minato nuzzled into Souji more and hugged him tighter. He looked up at him.]

I love you. Everything you are, I love all of you.

[eatsyourscience]

I love you, too.

[He'd already said that Minato was more important to him than himself, so he didn't have to say it again.]

[jivitadana]

[Minato let that sink in farther down inside of him, hearing it resonate as it made its way there.

He looked at Souji for a while before slowly letting of him.

Then he shook him. Not violently, not enough to hurt him, but enough, enough that Minato's face is sort of like >O<.]

You always do this. Just tell me things. I love you, okay?

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji blinked in surprise as he was shaken, drawing back a little.]

Right. I'll try to do better.

[He really would. He doesn't want this to happen again, not when they wouldn't be able to get to the heart of things because they weren't being forced to speak the truth.]

[jivitadana]

Me too.

[Minato held onto Souji's sleeves and looked up at him again, this time looking a little more |( than anything else.]

Now. I want a hug and ice cream in that order. If I don't get those, you're going to have a sulky, sullen boyfriend on your hands.

[|( forever.]

[Souji nodded and shifted, putting his hands on Minato's shoulders before getting his arms around him and pulling him close.]

Let's go find a tearoom.

[jivitadana]

Okay.

[Minato leaned more into Souji. He didn't want to let go from this hug just yet. He loved Souji so much and thought that they could be closer now after this.]

Will you carry me there?

[eatsyourscience]

[Without a word, Souji stooped and picked Minato up in his arms.]

Can you get the door?

[jivitadana]

[Yay! Minato smiled some more and laughed very softly, and he hardly ever laughed. He was just so happy to be with Souji. He opened the door for them, of course.]

I'll get you anything you want.

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji carried him down the hall, a small smile on his face. They'd be fine.]
