Summary: A catch all for the Horrible Memory Truth Event!
The Story:

For the duration of this event, everyone's entire room will be replaced with a memory playing on loop. They will likely recognize the moment as soon as they see it – it is a moment they remember as the worst moment of their entire lives. It could be a memory from home or something that happened in Wonderland. Lengths of the memories will vary, but they will find that these are not memories they can merely watch – they can step into these memories and attempt to make changes to them, and the memories will be long enough that they have time to make changes (though no more than 24 hours). However, anyone who tries will find that it is futile. No matter what you do or how hard you try, the outcome is always exactly the same somehow. No changes you make will prevent that horrible outcome. It just happens over and over and over again no matter what you do.

On top of that, perhaps complicating any attempts to make changes, everyone will be forced to be honest for the duration of the event. No lies or half-truths are allowed, and filters will be gone for the entire five days. If something bothers someone then they will blurt it out, regardless of whether or not it hurts someone's feelings, and no one will be able to simply keep quiet when they have something to say. They must be truthful and honest with every word they say.

This is a catch-all log for all of your Worst Memory needs! Please mark your threads clearly in the subject line with your character's name and Room Number + Floor for character rooms, or just location if you're making a top level for a public place in the mansion (like the tea rooms or the kitchen) so people can see if there's already a thread available. [ That's a hell of a question, one she'd never considered before, and Michonne thinks about that, looking off in the distance at the hills, rolling it around in her head slowly. Finally, she takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly. ]

If it is, it isn't like I don't deserve it. But it can't be. Too many people haven't done shit wrong. Not enough to deserve getting killed, being psychologically tortured.

[ The kids, Sarah the soccer mom, the innocent as fuck girl who just got here a while ago. Too many people shouldn't be lumped into that category of deserving to be here for punishment. ]

[backpacking]

Yeah. Guess so. [ She doesn't really believe the theory, but it'd been worth voicing, right? Is the only other explanation that they'd all been unlucky enough to be... what, dragged into another universe? That sucks, too. ]

You don't deserve this, by the way. None of it.

Maybe.

[ She doesn't think she deserved what happened to Andre. Objectively she was a good person before the end of the world, maybe not the best. A lawyer who liked modern art. But after, well. Michonne's done some truly terrible shit, so maybe she does deserve it. ]

Maybe it's not about deserving it or earning a place. Maybe it's about proving ourselves to Wonderland itself. For what, I don't fucking know.

[backpacking]

That's bullshit. [ Comes the prompt reply. ] We shouldn't have to be tested by some dumbass... fake world.

[ It just sounds so unfair that she has to call it out. Right? And, how could it possibly be 'testing' them if it's just a maybe-sentient place? The whole thing is a little too sci-fi even for an imaginative mind. ]

[ Said with an arch of an eyebrow. ]

Seems like all we can do is throw shit at the wall and see what sticks as far as theories go around here. The only sure thing is that this place is gonna try and stay cryptic long as it possibly can.

Are we ever gonna know anything about it? I feel like in all the time I've been here, nobody's been able to say they know anything about what's going on.

[ There's always a lot going on, but none of it feels... permanent, or real, in any way. ]

My honest opinion? No. We're never gonna know what's really happening here. Whatever can give us answers isn't going to. Doesn't mean we can't fight our way to them or that somethin'll change. Just means...

[ She lets out a breath, shaking her head. ]

Just means we have to be good with doin' the best we can. Just like home, I guess.

[ That's all she's ever done, and Enid's mantra echos through her head until she speaks it out loud. ]

Just survive somehow.

[backpacking]

I mean, even back home, I get what's going on. It's fucked up, but it makes sense.

[ Usually. She briefly thinks of the lakeside resort and resists a shiver. ]

... I guess we don't have a choice, though, right? We've just gotta do what we can, like you said.

[ Even if - and when - Wonderland seems batshit crazy. ]

We do that, and we stick together. Look out for one another.

[ The only thing that's true about Wonderland is that eventually, people will need each other and eventually those people you've looked to for comfort and friendship will leave. But you keep going, keep meeting people, because being isolated doesn't help, much as people think it does. ]

And listen - don't ever do anything to get yourself hurt or killed on my behalf. Understand?

[backpacking]

No promises. [ The honestly compels her to answer, so she tries not to look too guilty. ] If you're gonna be risky, then so am I.

[ They protect each other. "Look out for one another." Michonne just said it. ]

I just mean... I want you safe. All of you.

[thesamurai]

[ Michonne lets out a breath and moves to wrap her arms around Ellie, just holding onto her before speaking quietly. ]

I know.

[ What she doesn't know is if she could handle losing another kid, even if the death in Wonderland is temporary. It just makes her want to hold Ellie tighter. ]
