Summary: A catch all for the Horrible Memory Truth Event!
The Story:
For the duration of this event, everyone's entire room will be replaced with a memory playing on loop. They will likely recognize the moment as soon as they see it – it is a moment they remember as the worst moment of their entire lives. It could be a memory from home or something that happened in Wonderland. Lengths of the memories will vary, but they will find that these are not memories they can merely watch – they can step into these memories and attempt to make changes to them, and the memories will be long enough that they have time to make changes (though no more than 24 hours). However, anyone who tries will find that it is futile. No matter what you do or how hard you try, the outcome is always exactly the same somehow. No changes you make will prevent that horrible outcome. It just happens over and over and over again no matter what you do.
On top of that, perhaps complicating any attempts to make changes, everyone will be forced to be honest for the duration of the event. No lies or half-truths are allowed, and filters will be gone for the entire five days. If something bothers someone then they will blurt it out, regardless of whether or not it hurts someone's feelings, and no one will be able to simply keep quiet when they have something to say. They must be truthful and honest with every word they say.
This is a catch-all log for all of your Worst Memory needs! Please mark your threads clearly in the subject line with your character's name and Room Number + Floor for character rooms, or just location if you're making a top level for a public place in the mansion (like the tea rooms or the kitchen) so people can see if there's already a thread available. Now Angus sure feels like an asshole.
He definitely overreacted. He knows that's a sore spot of his, but he didn't have to go and yell at her... Normally he wouldn't. He'd just silently accept her point of view and move on, with no plans to change his life but able to keep her content with it for now.
Angus didn't realize how much he wanted to yell at everyone who tried to assume he was in over his head, taking on something too big for a kid his age, and now he's done it and already regretted it.
He instantly looks away, face flushing in shame.]
I-I'm sorry, ma'am. I don't want to yell at you. I wouldn't normally. I feel like yelling all the time and I wish I didn't.
And... I'm sorry about your children. I just... have a lot of experience with my job, even at my age, and I've yet to seriously injure myself. I can't say it's never been dangerous, but I'm very careful and work closely with the militia, who often assign me protection if I'm ever worried.
What... happened to those children? Why did they all do something so dangerous? Is your world like Ms. Georgia's or Clementine's?

[Toriel just... sighs. Long, and tired. She just wanted to help a kid out, clean up a book. Not talk about this.]
I do not know those names, I am afraid. No, they just... Well, it is somewhat of a long story.
[She wants so badly to just tell a limited, truncated version of the story. Skip over most of it, but she can't even seem to get herself to do that. Too many lies of omission.]
My people were sealed underground by humans, where we were forced to live for centuries. After so long, the nature of the mountain we were sealed beneath had faded into myth, and humans began exploring the mountain, only aware of a legend that those who go there disappear.
Which... I suppose they did. There was a hole, which sometimes humans would fall down, into an area of the Underground known as the Ruins. For most of them, the ones who I had tried to protect...
The only way to break the seal, is with the power of 7 human SOULs. My people wished to be free, by any means. I had sealed off the Ruins from the rest of the Underground, and so long as they stayed there with me, they would be safe. I did my best to become their family, and to provide them with a happy life.
Every time, though... every single time, they were not satisfied. The Ruins are not very big, are sparsely populated, and severely out of date technologically. They wanted to see the sunlight, they wanted to explore the world. They wanted more than the incredibly limited life that I could provide for them. I did my best to tell them of the dangers awaiting them outside the Ruins, but... every time, they insisted that they wanted to leave, and I could not force them to be a prisoner.
I do not know exactly what happened to them after that. I only know that each and every one of them, 6 times in a row, died at the hands of my ex-husband, Asgore.
