Summary: A catch all for the Horrible Memory Truth Event!
The Story:

For the duration of this event, everyone's entire room will be replaced with a memory playing on loop. They will likely recognize the moment as soon as they see it – it is a moment they remember as the worst moment of their entire lives. It could be a memory from home or something that happened in Wonderland. Lengths of the memories will vary, but they will find that these are not memories they can merely watch – they can step into these memories and attempt to make changes to them, and the memories will be long enough that they have time to make changes (though no more than 24 hours). However, anyone who tries will find that it is futile. No matter what you do or how hard you try, the outcome is always exactly the same somehow. No changes you make will prevent that horrible outcome. It just happens over and over and over again no matter what you do.

On top of that, perhaps complicating any attempts to make changes, everyone will be forced to be honest for the duration of the event. No lies or half-truths are allowed, and filters will be gone for the entire five days. If something bothers someone then they will blurt it out, regardless of whether or not it hurts someone's feelings, and no one will be able to simply keep quiet when they have something to say. They must be truthful and honest with every word they say.

This is a catch-all log for all of your Worst Memory needs! Please mark your threads clearly in the subject line with your character's name and Room Number + Floor for character rooms, or just location if you're making a top level for a public place in the mansion (like the tea rooms or the kitchen) so people can see if there's already a thread available. And here's the plot post if you need it!

[Lup joins her, immediately opening the bottle and filling both tea cups, a few giggles still slipping through when the elf is finally grabbing for her cup.]

Finally, something we agree on. [Lup says it with a wink and a grin. She's teasing, naturally.] So how long you been around here, sis?

Nearly a year and a half, now. [Toriel sighs, and takes a pretty large sip from her cup.] It is pretty easy to remember the date. It is one of my children's birthday, after all. Or at least, the date they have chosen to celebrate as their birthday anyway. They chose to celebrate it together with the child I attacked.

I helped organize their party, earlier this year, to... try and make up, for last time. I think it went alright.

Shit. [It slips out without Lup even meaning for it too, her eyes widening. It's pretty worrying that so many of the people in this place have been here for such an extended period, isn't it? How long will she be stuck here, trapped with a brother who doesn't remember her?] That's a long time, but I'm glad you managed to make amends over the whole thing.

...Though it's kinda weird to think of celebrating birthdays in this place. Time doesn't really pass, right? So you celebrate a few years in here, go back, and return to the age you were before? It's so weird.

Not really. It did not solve anything between us. Every time I look at them, I cannot help but see the person that murdered me in cold blood. I told them so, earlier this event. So I am fairly certain any relationship there has been ruined.

[Toriel just... throws back the rest of her teacup of rum, and quickly reaches over to pour herself another one.]

I would not know. I have never gone back. And even if I did, I would just be dead.

[For once, Lup manages to keep her tongue to herself, not immediately asking for more information about the incident. It's clear Toriel doesn't want to talk about it and so the least the elf could do would be to try and not force her to talk about it.

Though the other topic at hand doesn't sound any more pleasant.] Yeah, there's a lot of us dead folks around Wonderland, huh?

Yes. Like both of my children.

[Oh wow, hey, would you look at that, Toriel's cup is empty again, time to pour herself another one.]

I am beginning to think this was a terrible idea.

[Wow, is it awkward in here or is it just Lup.]

Y'know what, I'm deffo in agreement. Maybe we should just split up and come get drinks together when this shit isn't happening.

Yes, that seems like it would be for the best.

[Toriel just sighs, standing up and starting to make her way towards the doorway while she still can.]

Really, I would prefer to just leave, before I wind up mentioning more unpleasant facts. My life is just full of them, like the many other dead children, or my ex-husband who murdered those children, or how I sold numerous memories to Wonderland's vendors.

[...She was so close to just walking out, when that spills it's way out of her mouth. The first two are deeply unpleasant, but they're not exactly secrets. That one, though, is something she's never told anyone and didn't plan to tell anyone, and Toriel is just kind of... frozen in place at the door.

At least until she punches the wall hard enough to leave a hole in it, anyway.]

[Lup honestly doesn't need the effect of the truth event to answer honestly.]

Doubly. Doubly hate everything about this.

[The truth pouring from Toriel's mouth is just awful. Dead children, a murderer for an ex-hubby, and the fact she'd given away more than one memory to this place in exchange for something. It's not at all what Lup had been expecting to her--and the surprise is easy to read on her face--but the elf jumps to her feet and grabs the bottle of booze, quickly attempting to back away.

She wants out. Keep your mouth shut, Lup. Don't say a word.

She hums, loud and awkward, as if trying to keep her mouth from opening.] Mm-mm-mmMMmmm...

I really want to burn down this entire mansion right now. I am not going to, but I want to. And don't you even start calling me a hypocrite, I would not be saying that at all if Wonderland were not forcing it out of me.

[Toriel could see Lup doing that, and she doesn't want to hear it. She doesn't want to hear anything else, because right now, the only thoughts running through her head are variations of 'Fuck Wonderland' and 'I hate this event', and she's already said that pretty nicely so she's just going to try and take the opportunity to leave before anything else comes to mind.]

[The humming just goes louder] MMMmmmMMM-MmmmM...

[But really, Lup is all too ready to make her escape before she's finally dragged out into answering against her will, the elf unable to catch herself.] At least you're not trapped between wanting to punch out your bee-eff-eff or make out with her.

[Time for her to die.]

No offense but I think that possibly selling pieces of my SOUL by mistake may be a bit of a worse issue. Not that I do not sympathize, that sounds rough.

[She really didn't want to make it into a contest, but unfortunately the first thought that pops into your head that's immediately forced out isn't always the nice or polite one.]
