Summary: A catch all for the Horrible Memory Truth Event!
The Story:

For the duration of this event, everyone's entire room will be replaced with a memory playing on loop. They will likely recognize the moment as soon as they see it – it is a moment they remember as the worst moment of their entire lives. It could be a memory from home or something that happened in Wonderland. Lengths of the memories will vary, but they will find that these are not memories they can merely watch – they can step into these memories and attempt to make changes to them, and the memories will be long enough that they have time to make changes (though no more than 24 hours). However, anyone who tries will find that it is futile. No matter what you do or how hard you try, the outcome is always exactly the same somehow. No changes you make will prevent that horrible outcome. It just happens over and over and over again no matter what you do.

On top of that, perhaps complicating any attempts to make changes, everyone will be forced to be honest for the duration of the event. No lies or half-truths are allowed, and filters will be gone for the entire five days. If something bothers someone then they will blurt it out, regardless of whether or not it hurts someone's feelings, and no one will be able to simply keep quiet when they have something to say. They must be truthful and honest with every word they say.

This is a catch-all log for all of your Worst Memory needs! Please mark your threads clearly in the subject line with your character's name and Room Number + Floor for character rooms, or just location if you're making a top level for a public place in the mansion (like the tea rooms or the kitchen) so people can see if there's already a thread available. [All Regina offers is a sympathetic smile. Loss is far too common a theme in Wonderland to pry. Instead, an out is offered and she's more than grateful.]

No, not at all. That sounds wonderful right now.

[mandrakes]

Well, then. [Regis takes advantage of having her hand to put her arm through his, with all the gallant air that one might expect from someone who looks, speaks and dresses like he does.]

By your leave, my lady. Where shall we go?

[madehervows]

[It reminds her of the Enchanted Forest, and the respect she demanded as queen. Respect she still gets in Storybrooke, now, but not through fear. Wonderland is another matter.]

Anywhere but here. [...That was the forced honesty talking.] The gardens?

[mandrakes]

The gardens it is.

[He pats the back of her hand lightly as they walk. It would be difficult for Regis to fear her, but the respect he gives her is born mainly from the fact that she is a person he sees worthy of it. Not her status, or her power.]

One of the more pleasant places offered here, I think.

[madehervows]

One of the only ones.

[It's... nice to walk like this. Even if the circumstances that pushed them together aren't the greatest, they're still able to find some relative peace among the chaos.]

The greenhouse is good for quiet, too. I take care of it when I can.

[mandrakes]

I might use it myself, but some of the plants that I grow would not be suitable.

[Not all, but certainly some.]

Mandrakes, for instance, are incredibly toxic to humans.

[madehervows]

[Regina has to laugh, because:]

I've dealt in worse.

[But that's not the point.]

I can ward a section of the greenhouse for you, if you'd like.

[mandrakes]

I'm sure you have, but I imagine it was with full knowledge of what you were dealing with.

[He would hate for an unsuspecting human to uproot one of the things, only to die on the spot.]

But that would be very kind of you. How might that work?

[madehervows]

Fair enough.

[Yeah, she knew. Her own stock of potion ingredients in her room is full of things that aren't exactly safe, after all.]

It's a simple protection spell. Normally nobody would be able to get through, but I can give you a way to release it and put it back up when you're done.

[mandrakes]

[While they walk, he gives it some quick consideration. Mandrakes can be tricky to grow, and the ones he can get from the closets are never quite potent enough.

Regis nods and smiles, giving a small squeeze to her hand.]

I'll accept your offer, but you must tell me what I can do for you in return.

[madehervows]

[Regina merely shakes her head.]

Nonsense. You don't need to do anything.

[And since they're forced into being honest, he'll know she means it.]

[mandrakes]

Of course, but I would like to.

[When they reach the door to the gardens, he releases her arm to open it for her, giving a small bow of his head.]

After you, m'lady.

[madehervows]

If I think of anything, I'll let you know.

[It can't hurt to have him as backup, just in case. Who knows what Wonderland will throw at her?

She steps through the door with a small smile and matching nod -- if she's not careful, she might find herself charmed by his gentlemanly behaviour.]

[mandrakes]

Please do.

[Who knows, indeed. It might be a courtesy, but Regis takes favours owed quite seriously even when they are only owed between friends. He smiles in turn as he follows her outside, making sure to shut the door behind him.

As they resume walking, he offers his arm to her again.]

The greenhouse, then. Are you growing anything of your own?

[madehervows]

[Regina takes the offered arm and makes herself comfortable at Regis' side once more. His question isn't entirely unexpected, and she would lie, simply because the Once-ler's story isn't hers to tell, but Wonderland isn't going to let her.]

Not exactly. I... inherited them from a friend, who's long gone from Wonderland. He cut down the entire forest near his home when he gave into greed and he was trying to change and fix things. Wonderland gave him what he needed, a single seed, but he was afraid. So he wanted to prove he could grow something before he planted that seed.

[She'd been so proud of him.]

He disappeared not long after, and I've been taking care of his plants ever since. I didn't want all his work to just... mean nothing.

[mandrakes]

[He's learning a lot about Regina as this conversation goes on. Regis wouldn't call himself an expert at reading people, but he is certainly very good at it, and there's a lot to be gleaned from the woman's words that she isn't saying out loud.

The fact that she can't help but be honest certainly helps.]

That's very conscientious. And very kind.

[Regis pats the back of her hand as they walk.]

The seed - did it disappear with him?

[madehervows]

[It's not often anything she does can be described as 'kind' so she gives a short, surprised laugh.]

Sorry. Not a word I hear often about the things I do.

[But she frowns.]

No. He kept it on him at all times, so it disappeared when he did. But if his story works out the way it should, he'll find it again at home.

[mandrakes]

[He looks at her when she laughs, an expression of perplexed amusement on his face. So, she's that kind of person? Interesting.]

A good thing, but something of a pity at the same time.

[His steps slow, just for a moment.]

Perhaps you could show me the greenhouses.

[madehervows]

[Stick around, Regis. You'll find she's a person of many kinds.]

Wonderland takes far more than it gives, after all.

[Possessions, memories, people. Regis makes his suggestion and Regina steers them in the direction of the greenhouses.]
