[ Mondo never gets a rest in Wonderland. After being hit by a series of fucked up events since his arrival, now he's gotten himself into a big, serious trouble.

That's right, the biggest of them all.

A surprise puppy.

Thank you closet, he totally needs this right now... not. ]

[ Look, it's true that he needs something healing, and it's true that he loves dogs to the end of the world, but... not like this. Someone ー Makoto Niijima ー has told him on his very first day here to never get a pet. And it's for a very good reason that he agrees with: when he leaves, he will be leaving that pet alone. Sure, maybe someone can and will take care of it, but that just means shoving responsibilities and he wouldn't want to put that upon anyone nor the dog itself.

So yes, this is a problem. A very big problem.

It feels as if his girlfriend has broken the news to him that she's pregnant with his baby... except he's never had a girlfriend before in the whole of his sad, sad life. Goddamn, he can't exactly return the dog into the closet now that it's here, too. Now what. ]

Er... uh. Hey.

[ After spending the past week to getting to know each other with the pup, Mondo will be walking around with his (accidental) son the day after through the hallways (can be any floor), or at the gardens. Feel free to decide when and where to bump into him, he'll make it a habit to walk the dog because beagles!! need!! walks!! He'll look incredibly troubled while keeping the pupper on leash, and the pupper is likely to bop you with its nose if you stare at it for too long or if you exude some interesting scent. You haven't bathed in days? You bring food? He's on it. Play with him!! ]

[ACTION] OPEN WITH SAYAKA MAIZONO
BALLROOM - NOV 14 (EVENING)

[Inside the ballroom, there is something that does not belong there. Laying down in the middle of the floor is a tiny white bunny. Despite the strange enviroment, it didn't seem to be scared. It's the opposite, the rabbit appeared to be chilling in the ballroom. It stretches out it's paws and yawns before hopping over to anyone that steps in the ballroom. At first it simply stares at whoever it runs into while twitching it's pink little nose. Soon, it begins to poke your foot with it's head.

The sound of running footsteps could be heard not too far away and suddenly, Sayaka appears from around the corner. She takes a few deep breaths and glances around her surroundings, looking almost distressed. It was as if she lost something.]

Where did you go?

[She continues to grow worried. For a split second, it looks like she's about ready to cry until she turns around and finally catches sight of what she's looking for. She quickly runs over to where the bunny is, this time looking totally relieved.]

There you are! Thank goodness you're safe. [A smile curves on her lips as she carefully scoops the fluffball into her arms. ] I'm so sorry about that. I hope this little one didn't bother you.

[ACTION] SEMI-OPEN WITH MONDO OOWADA & SAYAKA MAIZONO
ENTRANCE HALL - NOV 15 (DAY)

[While taking their pets out for a walk and fresh air, Mondo and Sayaka happened to pass by each other while passing through the entrance hall. Considering there was still some awkward tension in the air, the two were about ready to exit the vicinity without saying a single word to each other. But their pets had something else in mind...

It's in the Beagle's nature to be drawn to rabbits and so like a magnet, the puppy excitedly approaches the bunny and curiously sniffs it. If it could speak, it would have said; Hello strange ball of fluff! Will you be my friend? The bunny cautiously stares back at the puppy, as if it were unsure of the fellow fluff. It twitches it's own nose to sniff the strange creature a few times. From one sniff, the puppy didn't seem like a bad! So to show it's vow of friendship, the bunny boops the puppy on the nose with it's head. Yes! I will be your friend, strange hyperactive fluff!!

It was like love at first sight, with romance music playing in the background. There was an instant attraction between the two pets and soon enough they were playing together. They would run in circles around each other, boop each other on the nose or see who could run and/or hop the fastest.

The pets were having the time of their lives and neither Mondo or Sayaka had the heart to break their children apart. Despite how strange it might appear for a thug looking dude and a young pretty girl to hang out, they were willing to at least stand together and watch the kids play. Another reason why they couldn't walk away was because this was one of the purest and cutest things that both of them have ever seen.

[ACTION] CLOSED BETWEEN MONDO OOWADA & SAYAKA MAIZONO
GARDENS - NOV 15 (NIGHT)

[ Things have finally settled down and it's finally just the two of them now with their babies.

Mondo has almost forgotten how awkward it could be being with Maizono, as the last time they properly saw each other was when they witnessed some of his most awful memories. The wariness that he had towards her had subconsciously dissolved since that happening, but he still made a conscious effort to avoid her whenever possible, simply because he didn't know how to act around her now that she's known. Unfortunately, he can't exactly slink away and let Maizono supervise the kids on her own this time. While he can take Komo back to his room, it feels too cruel when they're having such a good time together.

So instead, he directs his attention on them, wondering how in the world they grew so close in such a short time. It's almost like they've known each other since forever. ]

[ The more he tries to ignore this awkward silence, though, the more it bugs him. ]

H-Huh? Oh, I, um... I d-don't know a lot about dogs, but... I think they're really cute. Is this one yours?

[ Enjoy staring at this rare face, Tsumiki, he doesn't do it all that often. Especially not with this over the roof kind of enthusiasm. ]

Right?! Aren't they the best?!

[ After yelling at her (sort of), he squats down in an attempt to get the sniffing puppy off her feet, though it really looks like he's just petting the pupper instead. ]

Oi, no licking. [ When he hears her question, he looks up at her and beams again. ] Hehe, yeah! Isn't he real cute?! Are you a dog person too?

[She wishes he could be like this all the time.]

I, um, I don't know... I wasn't allowed to have any pets at home.

[For obvious depressing reasons.]

But, um, I... I do like them, I guess? I don't dislike them. And this one is really cute... Really, really cute.

[ Oh. Oh crap. ]

...Oh, uh, right. [ The smile falls off his lips almost immediately, and the look in his face is now apologetic. Shit, did he just make her remember her past again? ] My bad.

[ Scratching the back of his head, he picks up the puppy and gets on his feet. ]

D'ya wanna play with him? [ The pupper on Mondo's arms stares at Tsumiki with much excitement, tails wagging. His eyes are sparkling, as if saying: 'Play wif me! Play wif me!' ]

[Thankfully, the new question startles her so much she forgot she was supposed to be sad.]

H-Huh?! Me? B-but... um.. i-if... is that really okay? Can I?

[Ohhhh!!! She's excited!!!]

[ Well... That's good! ]

'course it is! [ Anyone who likes dogs is a good person in his books! Not that Tsumiki isn't already, but that just gives her major cookie points! Plus, look at that pupper, his eyes are already full of hope! 'You'd play wif me? Really???' Mondo has no ways of stopping him at this point. ] Careful though, he's still young so he keeps nibbling on everythin'... tell him firmly 'no' when he does that. [ He'll put the pupper down then, and almost immediately, the pupper sniffs around Tsumiki's feet, subsequently running around her. 'What are we playin', gewd hyuman?!' "Woof!!" ]

[AHHH PUPPY PLAYING TIME... but... how... does one play with puppy...]

Ah... um... fetch! I-I need something for him to fetch!

[She runs into her room, trying to find something.]

No, no, no... ah! M-Maybe!

[She then returns with... a toy magical girl wand, thank you alphys.]

W-will this do?

[ Mondo didn't even get the chance to say a syllable as she rushes away, leaving him rubbing his puppy's head as he waits.

It probably didn't take any longer than a minute for her to come back, which amazes and surprises him at the same time. She's really eager about this, isn't she? He looks up at the toy that she's holding and... squints. Is that her hobby? ]

Uh, sure, I guess...

[ The puppy, on the other hand, is already very curious about the toy, wagging its tail with hopeful eyes. 'Fetch? Is it fetch?!' "Woof woof!" ]

Looks like he wants to do it.

Eee!

[She's so happy she got it right, she's practically vibrating with excitement! She turns and then throws the toy down the hallway - it's plastic, so it won't break.]

G-Go Fetch! Heeheehee!

[ Like an engine preheated, the pupper blasts straight towards the toy when the green light is given. It doesn't take longer than a couple of seconds for him to get to there. Strangely enough, he seems to take his time with it. ]

What's up? You know fetch, right?

[ Mondo approaches to see what the pupper's doing, and turns out... he's biting on it instead of trying to take it back to them. ]

Oi oi, that's not what it's for, give that back to Tsumiki.

[ Squatting down so the pupper can see him in a closer proximity, Mondo begins to point to Tsumiki's direction in attempt to explain what he's supposed to do. The young dog doesn't budge, instead the biting intensifies and he keeps changing angles, like looking for the right position. ]

[ Mondo extends his arm to cup the pupper's lower jaw to have a better look at the teeth. ]

Oi Tsumiki, can you take a look at this? [ Technically, she isn't a vet, but maybe she knows a thing or two, she's a nurse anyway! (Oi Mondo.) ] You think he's teething? [ Fishing out a small book from his coat pocket, flipping through the pages for a while, before reading aloud: ] 'A Beagle puppy will begin teething at approximately 3 to 4 months old and will be done by 7 months to 9 months.' Hmm... but I dunno how old he is. I think some of his teeth might be adult ones already, though. Like this one. [ He points at one as an example. ]

[As Mondo approaches, so did Mikan, watching carefully. But when the explanation is given, she fidgets. She doesn't really know a lot about animal health, that would probably be Gundam Tanaka's territory.]

Um... I-It's okay, really! I can always get another one from the closet. He can have it, I don't mind.

No, my bad! [ He turns back to the pupper lightly patting his cheek. ] Come on, stop biting on it, that's not your toy. I'll get you another one later, so...

[ The young canine stands back up, still with the magical wand firmly between his jaws. ]

Alright now, give it to me. Here.

[ Mondo extends his palm in front of the dog then. But all of the sudden, he sprints past the owner without warning, away from them. ]

Oi?!? ...Was he tricking us?!

[ Is he trying to get them to fetch?! ]

Wait!! Let's go, Tsumiki!!

A-ah! O-Okay!

[Oh boy, this is going to be a day. She'll run once Mondo does!]

C-Come back here, puppy! Please be careful!

[ The pupper lives wildly and dangerously, Tsumiki, 'careful' is not the word in his dogtionary. He may be young, but he's smart when it comes to mischievous conducts like this one. Swerving here and there like a Kawasaki motorcycle, he seems to be well-informed about the smaller shortcuts humans can't slip through. ]

Dammit! When did he find that way?!

[ He turns his head to look at Tsumiki. ]

He's going to the garden!! I'll go on ahead, you wait in front of the entrance! He might come back!!

[ Why is he even involving Tsumiki in this... He hasn't even realised he's been bossing her around in this dogchase. ]

[What exactly does he expect her to do if the puppy heads her way?]

O-Okaay! I'll stay there, I won't move!

[ What, indeed. Mondo wasn't really thinking. Off he goes to the depth of the bushes trying to track where the little one could've gone, keeping his ears wide for rustling sounds.

Meanwhile, pupper's taken one whole round back to the fountain, temporarily distracted by the water lilies and the goldfishes, before making his way back to where Tsumiki stands at the entrance. He brings the stick in his mouth back to her all proud, tails wagging in anticipation for a praise. Look at him holding his head up high! Can you resist these floppy ears... "Woof!" (Here you go!) ]

[What does she do??? What does she do?!?

She lowers herself a little, hands out.]

G-Good puppy... Nice puppy... M-May I have it back...?

[ The pupper's quick to drop the stick on Tsumiki's hands, tails wagging even faster now. Yes!! He's done his job! With that, he barks once, looking at her expectantly with sparkly eyes, as if waiting for something. Yeah, nothing big, just casually oozing out the "praise me praise me praise me" aura here.

For the time being, Mondo is nowhere to be seen. Let's hope that cob doesn't get stuck in the bushes or something. ]

[He did it!!! He dropped it!!! FETCH WAS SUCCESSFUL!]

Yes, you did it! Good boy! Very very good boy!

[She kneels down, hoping to pet him, giggling wildly. This is the happiest she's been in a long time.]

[ Oh no! Pupper is pet and is now too happy!! With another bark, he jumps around at his spot and nuzzles his cheek against Tsumiki's delicate hand. What a gentle person! He then rolls on his back, showing off his belly ~~like one of your French girls~~ as if requesting a rub or two. The demands are escalating aren't they?!

Mondo's making his way back to the entrance when this happens, spotting Tsumiki and the puppy interacting from afar. Though he was about to scold the young little mischief, his open mouth closes again, feeling like he shouldn't interrupt this moment. Just look at that smile Tsumiki's pulling! He hasn't seen her looking so happy like that before, all he can remember is her terrified face. Without thinking much, he begins to observe them from a distance. ]

[Mikan is oblivious that they're being watched. She steadies herself on her knees, reaching down to rub the little rascal's belly.]

Heehee... so this is what this feels like... No wonder people love dogs.

Hey... you're a very good dog, you know? Please stay a good dog for Mondo, okay? I thought he was really scary at first... But he's a good person. He cares about other people, and his smile isn't scary at all. I'm glad we can be friends with him.

So, please... be a good doggy for Mondo, and make him happy. He deserves it.

[ He can see her talking, but he can't hear clearly with their distance. Slowly and carefully, he approaches further, guilt strangely seeping in when he's not exactly doing anything wrong (??? he supposes?). He probably didn't need to peep around like this, but he had a feeling she'd just stop if she saw him.

And of course, the closer he gets, the more audible her voice is. It may not be the easiest one on the ears, her high-pitch doesn't help the clarity either. But it's not exactly what he'd call unpleasant ー at least, during moments like this one, when she's not panicking.

"--So, please... be a good doggy for Mondo, and make him happy. He deserves it." ]

[ Mondo didn't know what he was expecting. He guesses, he sort of anticipated something more negative to come. Even though Tsumiki has been nothing but a good f... friend to him, he couldn't help but think that deep down, she didn't really like him all that much. After all, some of his 'comrades' in the gang that he thought were his friends turned their backs on him upon hearing his promotion. He couldn't help but expecting the worse to defend himself.

Ah, pathetic. Now he doesn't know how what face should he make facing her...

The pupper, meanwhile, as if understanding what Tsumiki's telling him, barks cheerfully once he gets back on his feet. "Woof!!" And like a man on mission, he suddenly bolts towards a direction, behind a big lump of bush.

After a moment or two, he's back to be seen again dragging something with all his might. ]

I got it already, stop biting on it, I'm going...

[ It doesn't take long after for the trademark corncob to emerge from all the greenery, like one ready-to-harvest crop. Mondo gets on his feet once the little canine lets go of his cuffs, awkwardly walks towards where Tsumiki is with tinge of red still lingering on his ears. ]

Y-Yo, thanks for taking care of him. So he did go back to the entrance hall after all, huh?

[ He's. Trying hard to make it sound like he heard nothing. Really hard. To no avail, probably, with how bad he's hiding all the awkwardness. Well, the pupper doesn't really care about that, he dashes back to Tsumiki's side once they're back, rubbing his head against her ankle yet again. ]

Tch. Sorry 'bout him, he always acts like he doesn't get enough attention as it is...

... Eh?

[Why was Mondo in that bush? Was he... No, surely not. She mustn't think badly of Mondo! He probably tripped, or he was tying his shoe, or some other perfectly reasonable explanation for being in a bush. Yes, that's what happened, that's what she's going on.

So Mikan smiles all over again, once more reaching down to pet the little guy.]

I-It's okay! I can see why everyone likes doggies so much... They're really friendly. I wouldn't mind helping you with him, i-if you ever needed help with him again.

[She doesn't want to push or force the idea... but it would be really nice to do this in the future.]

[ Huh? She didn't notice? Well... that's a relief. More importantly, what did she just say?! ]

Really?! [ Mondo's excitement is through the roof. ] You'd do that? ...Uh, i-it's not like I don't have enough stamina or shit like that, but it gets... tirin' sometimes, this guy has no energy limit on certain days. [ He squints his eyes at the clueless pupper who's busy basking in Tsumiki's gentle pets. ]

That's right! We can go on a walk together! ...or something like that... [ Why does he feel awkward asking that... it's for the dog! Not him! ] It can be an exercise for ya too!
