SUMMARY: Mondo gets a pup, Sayaka gets a bun, who wants a bunpup date?!
[ Mondo never gets a rest in Wonderland. After being hit by a series of fucked up events since his arrival, now he's gotten himself into a big, serious trouble.
That's right, the biggest of them all.
A surprise puppy.
Thank you closet, he totally needs this right now... not. ]

[ Look, it's true that he needs something healing, and it's true that he loves dogs to the end of the world, but... not like this. Someone ー Makoto Niijima ー has told him on his very first day here to never get a pet. And it's for a very good reason that he agrees with: when he leaves, he will be leaving that pet alone. Sure, maybe someone can and will take care of it, but that just means shoving responsibilities and he wouldn't want to put that upon anyone nor the dog itself.
So yes, this is a problem. A very big problem.
It feels as if his girlfriend has broken the news to him that she's pregnant with his baby... except he's never had a girlfriend before in the whole of his sad, sad life. Goddamn, he can't exactly return the dog into the closet now that it's here, too. Now what. ]
Er... uh. Hey.
[ After spending the past week to getting to know each other with the pup, Mondo will be walking around with his (accidental) son the day after through the hallways (can be any floor), or at the gardens. Feel free to decide when and where to bump into him, he'll make it a habit to walk the dog because beagles!! need!! walks!! He'll look incredibly troubled while keeping the pupper on leash, and the pupper is likely to bop you with its nose if you stare at it for too long or if you exude some interesting scent. You haven't bathed in days? You bring food? He's on it. Play with him!! ]
[Inside the ballroom, there is something that does not belong there. Laying down in the middle of the floor is a tiny white bunny. Despite the strange enviroment, it didn't seem to be scared. It's the opposite, the rabbit appeared to be chilling in the ballroom. It stretches out it's paws and yawns before hopping over to anyone that steps in the ballroom. At first it simply stares at whoever it runs into while twitching it's pink little nose. Soon, it begins to poke your foot with it's head.
The sound of running footsteps could be heard not too far away and suddenly, Sayaka appears from around the corner. She takes a few deep breaths and glances around her surroundings, looking almost distressed. It was as if she lost something.]
Where did you go?
[She continues to grow worried. For a split second, it looks like she's about ready to cry until she turns around and finally catches sight of what she's looking for. She quickly runs over to where the bunny is, this time looking totally relieved.]
There you are! Thank goodness you're safe. [A smile curves on her lips as she carefully scoops the fluffball into her arms. ] I'm so sorry about that. I hope this little one didn't bother you.
[While taking their pets out for a walk and fresh air, Mondo and Sayaka happened to pass by each other while passing through the entrance hall. Considering there was still some awkward tension in the air, the two were about ready to exit the vicinity without saying a single word to each other. But their pets had something else in mind...
It's in the Beagle's nature to be drawn to rabbits and so like a magnet, the puppy excitedly approaches the bunny and curiously sniffs it. If it could speak, it would have said; Hello strange ball of fluff! Will you be my friend? The bunny cautiously stares back at the puppy, as if it were unsure of the fellow fluff. It twitches it's own nose to sniff the strange creature a few times. From one sniff, the puppy didn't seem like a bad! So to show it's vow of friendship, the bunny boops the puppy on the nose with it's head. Yes! I will be your friend, strange hyperactive fluff!!
It was like love at first sight, with romance music playing in the background. There was an instant attraction between the two pets and soon enough they were playing together. They would run in circles around each other, boop each other on the nose or see who could run and/or hop the fastest.
The pets were having the time of their lives and neither Mondo or Sayaka had the heart to break their children apart. Despite how strange it might appear for a thug looking dude and a young pretty girl to hang out, they were willing to at least stand together and watch the kids play. Another reason why they couldn't walk away was because this was one of the purest and cutest things that both of them have ever seen.

[ Things have finally settled down and it's finally just the two of them now with their babies.
Mondo has almost forgotten how awkward it could be being with Maizono, as the last time they properly saw each other was when they witnessed some of his most awful memories. The wariness that he had towards her had subconsciously dissolved since that happening, but he still made a conscious effort to avoid her whenever possible, simply because he didn't know how to act around her now that she's known. Unfortunately, he can't exactly slink away and let Maizono supervise the kids on her own this time. While he can take Komo back to his room, it feels too cruel when they're having such a good time together.
So instead, he directs his attention on them, wondering how in the world they grew so close in such a short time. It's almost like they've known each other since forever. ]

[There's no mistaking his critical tone now. Sayaka and Mondo are from the same school of horrors, as he understands it, and apparently even the same class, but beyond that he wouldn't have thought they had a relationship.... or would willingly want one...
After all, Sayaka's so nice and Mondo's... well. His approach says it all.
Ryuji glares, embarrassed at being overheard despite himself. Wow, stfu, you're not the entrance hall police, corncob.]
That's my line. [Ignoring the other, he turns to the girl in question.] Are you sure it's safe lettin' him near a dog?
[He doesn't reach for it again--in fact, he kind of looks awkward about the idea of touching it at all, knowing its association--though he's visibly torn, frowning worriedly down at the puppy playing between his feet. You can't choose the family you're born to, poor thing. Is he sending it back to an abusive household...? Shit, maybe he should steal it before Mondo gets his ape hands on it? #thieflife]

Sayaka almost couldn't believe what she was witnessing. Never in her life time would she have guessed that she would be caught in the middle of two delinquents glaring and snarling at each other. In a way, it was... kind of amusing? They almost reminded her of two feral cats that were sharpening their claws for combat.
She was going to have to tread this with extreme caution. The last thing she wanted was for the two hot heads to get into a fight and cause the babies to cry.]
[First, she'll turn to Mondo.] Oh, don't worry Oowada-kun! Ryuji's a good friend of mine, he's not bothering me in the slightest. [Then next, she turns to Ryuji.] Oowada-kun is a classmate of mine from back home. We ran into each other with our new pets and they became fast friends.
[Now that she thought about it, it really didn't surprise her that the two knew each other already. Are hot headed deliquents connected by red strings of fate? Okay that was a terrible metaphor to use, but maybe the thug life worked like that? The next thing that crosses her mind was: oh dear god, how on earth did their first meeting go??
Hopefully there wasn't any black eyes involved...
At Ryuji's question, she glances up at him with a reassuring smile and a happy nod of her head.]
Yeah, it's perfectly safe! [She giggles in an attempt to pacifiy the situation.] I can tell that Oowada-kun is taking great care of the puppy. Just from what I've seen, it's very attatched to him!

It must take a mad show of selective memory to say that with a straight face instead of "I'd like you to meet the person I was in a murder war with."]
Oh, I know who he is. I woulda thought you woulda steered clear of each other 'cause of that.

Rest assured, there's no charge for these amazing mediation services. Luckily (or unluckily?) for Sayaka and Mondo, they don't have to pay to see Ryuji insert himself into their personal problems, he's been happy to do it pro bono. And knowing what he does about their unique situations and how it had all come to a head under Monokuma's reign of terror, it... makes this meeting of the minds a tad awkward. Just a tad.
If he were to look closely at his stance (and he doesn't) it might even be just a tad unfair on his part to reinforce the impression Sayaka is more likable and less dangerous than Mondo, when neither of them had wanted to be put in that position and both had ultimately played into it...
But oh, who can think about all that when there's a cute puppy glued to his side? And not even to Sayaka's, who's practically a Disney princess, but his. Ah, is this what love is...?
Won over by the show of dopey loyalty, he breaks his puppy boycott to scoop it off the ground, trying and failing to hide a small smile. You have good taste, tiny puppy bro.]

[While Sayaka wasn't exactly comfortable being around Oowada, he was still someone that he knew. In a strange way, she felt somewhat closer to him after that dreadful dreamscape event that they had to endure. It helped her to understand him a little better and she wanted to accept him. Not only for her sake, but because of how close he and Ishimaru are too.
Plus it didn't help that their pets acted like they were in love with each other. It's another reason for her to try and get close with him.
Now she can't help but wonder how much Ryuji knew about Mondo's history. Since he knew about her background and from her introduction, it was an obvious 'connect the dots' game.]
Don't worry, Oowada-kun! He didn't do anything weird. Ryuji's been sweet to him and I think the puppy has taken a liking to him too.

See? That's dog for "any name's better than no name, you bastard." [He holds it up to Sayaka next (and let's hope it doesn't decide it has to pee like that).] You try.

Does it truly matter, Hooman? Is probably what's going through the bunny's mind when Oowada bends down to get it's opinion. Sayaka does manage to laugh a little at her classmate asking her daughter for an opinion. Unfortunately, she can't speak but the tiny bunny reaches out to give Mondo a boop with it's nose. Hopefully that's a good enough answer.
Watching them was starting to give her a headache and now she was beginning to get a clear picture on how their first meeting must have been like. Tons of cursing and shouting.]
I can understand if you two don't get along, but let's try not to upset the animals.
[At Ryuji's command, Sayaka curiously looks over to the beagle that was comfortably nuzzled within Ryuji's arms. Despite her own growing annoyance, she does manage to smile seeing the sweet puppy's face. There's no harm in trying and what mattered the most was if the puppy liked it. With one arm stilled holding the bunny, she extends her hand out to pet the top of the beagle's head.]

But... having said that, he still feels fuckin' pissed off at what the mashed potatohead said, gripping his fist tight to control his anger. What's worse, Maizono's actually going along with the stupid idea and the beagle actually responds happily. He really wants to hit a wall right now... Fuck this... ]
I gave him a name, okay! [ He's trying, he's trying his best not to curse. ] Now give him back. [ But he's glaring daggers. And stepping on the other boy's foot. ]

[The foot comes down on his and a flash of real anger chases the levity from his features. Luckily--very luckily--he doesn't flinch and lose his grip on the dog. He makes sure his hold his secure before lowering the puppy to the floor.]
