[party post]
Who: Anyone & everyone who'd come to the bar
Where: Damon's Bar
When: All of December-January. Feel free to come back as often as you want.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Just another two months at Damon's bar full of the day-to-day drinking, advice giving, and more drinking for those in need. There are also special nights like Speed Get-to-Know-You and Trivia Night and Karaoke night. Use the top-levels for all your bar needs. Tag around. Profit!
The Story:
Damon's bar has been up and running for approximately six months. Have you come by yet? If not, you should. There's no age requirement for entry (or for having a drink really) given the special nights can interest people of all ages.
The bar has a full staff. There's a kitchen in the back where food's made fresh. There's something special about it being made for you by actual hands, right? In the corner, there's a jukebox playing quietly to not disturb the atmosphere, but you can feel free to dance if a good tune comes on. Sometimes the jukebox acts up. You try to choose one song, and the jukebox decides that it has a better idea of a song that reflects your mood/current situation more. There's no changing channels when it does this.
Inside the bar, there's pool and darts to enjoy. Drag someone new over for a game, challenge a friend, or make up your own rules. Just don't toss a dart into someone's hair.
There are special nights ranging from Karaoke Night to Trivia Night. You've probably heard about them. They're listed up on a board outside of the bar, but also advertised on the network. This month is the first time the bar will be trying a Speed Get-to-Know You event. It's like Speed Dating but for everyone (whether someone wants a date or a friend or a frenemy).
Because it's the holiday season, there are some minimalist festive decorations up and around including mistletoe (so watch out). Damon's not a huge fan of the holidays, but there will be some festive drinks offered for the next two months.

[ She thinks as she takes a sip of her drink. ]
A...monster that ate people if they didn't trick-or-treat, I think? In the middle of summer.

[realizing how dangerous wonderland was, especially in the beginning when they didn't really know or trust anyone else, had pushed them to try to find a way to get along and not keep hurting one another. who knew that arrangement would turn into a longer term, stable relationship? not wynonna but she's not complaining.]
Being forced to trick or treat doesn't sound so bad though -- but I have a terrible sweet tooth. Doc's always telling me my teeth would be rotting out of my head if Wonderland allowed that -- the downsides to dating a dentist.
no subject
[ That was honestly terrifying and the closest she's come to dying in Wonderland so far. ]
But I'm glad it actually made a difference at least, that's definitely something. Also, being forced to trick or treat was fine for a couple hours but then it turned into days. And we didn't get to keep the candy. It was a sacrifice so we didn't get eaten. Fun times?

[actually, she had been more scared of Doc getting scratched and turning since his immortality wasn't working at the time. she would have put him down if she had to but she's so tired of killing people she loves.
the closest she ever came to dying was tartarus, but she doesn't mention that for a multitude of reasons, not least of all protecting the secret about doc's ring]
Well yeah, when you put it like that it sounds pretty bad -- and totally unfair that you didn't at least get to keep the candy. What a rip off.
no subject
[ She wonders if that's ever happened to anyone before, some false sense of security. ]
no subject
[she's heard of these famed non-traumatic events but she has yet to live through one.]
But maybe they only happen when they want to lead people into a false sense of security or something. Whatever Waverly's first event ends up being, I hope it's a little tamer than what we went through.
[not to mention every event now is going to be a game of Wynonna desperately trying to find her little sister, because Waverly is her person.]
no subject
[ Honestly, Sarah doesn't trust events when they're too nice, but she does get what Wynonna is saying. ]
Being eased into it all is probably a better experience, yeah.
no subject
[in wynonna's experience there's always some kinda catch.]
I think the worst part is knowing how many these events like to seperate us -- if it's something really bad I might not get to her in time to keep her safe.
no subject
[ Sarah reaches out and squeezes Wynonna's hand. ]
She'll make friends that'll look out for her. Hell, I will just because she's your sister.
no subject
[she knows Doc would protect Waverly too, that he cares about her sister too (a bond that was formed independently of her), and she'll make friends and people will want to help her because it's Waverly. everyone loves Waverly, you can't help it. she's the best. she was voted the nicest person in purgatory. even though deaths aren't permenant in Wonderland the idea of losing her sister even temporarily like that shakes Wynonna to her core.
she squeezes Sarah's hand gently in return.]
Thanks, I appreciate it. I'll have to introduce you to her someday -- you'll love her. It's impossible not to.
no subject
Then I can't wait. Ray's still pretty hung up on some kind of dinners, we'd both really like it if she came, too, I already know. She's not super into fitness, is she? Because the last friend I made tried to get me to run on the beach at six in the morning and Michonne is great, but I had to threaten to die to get her to stop.
no subject
[there's a pause and then.]
I met Michonne at your wedding and she mentioned that to me, actually. It's okay, I won't make you work out with me, promise.
no subject
[ She has no idea why she's in Wonderland, she has nothing horrible to inflict on anyone. Except maybe teen pregnancy. ]
no subject
[Wynonna worries someday that Wonderland will bring the revenants here -- and endanger the entire mansion because she's the only one who can kill them.]
no subject
Well, Wonderland still saw me as a shining candidate for something. Guess if I'm here long enough we'll all find out what.
no subject
Well, selfishly, I'm glad they saw whatever they did in you.
wrap here?
Meeting people like you makes it all suck a little less.
sounds good
Likewise, this place would suck a lot more without people like you in it.
