I Don't Want A Lot For Christmas, There Is Just One Thing I Need [open]
Who: Wynonna, Wynonna's Mirror, and you
Where: throughout the mansion
When: the 13th onward
Rating: PG-13 at most, I imagine
Summary: Thanks to some cookies Wynonna feels like spreading some Christmas cheer via music, while her mirror is mostly trying to just gather information. Prose or action, I'll match either one.
The Story:
Wynonna
Wynonna isn't known for her good judgement a lot of the time and she has a wicked sweet tooth so when she sees the basket with the different cookies? She decides to grab one of them and the one she happens to grab in the one that makes people want to spread holiday music. Wynonna's taste goes for more more pop music than traditional hymns which is why when she starts dancing around the entrance hall of the mansion singing it'll be this song. At least she's a decent singer so it's not likely to hurt anyone's ears or anything if someone is lucky enough to catch her impromptu performance.
After the effects of the cookie wears off she becomes a little more discerning and doesn't touch any of the other ones. She can be found sometimes breaking off parts of the walls to much on, however, and she finds herself spending a lot of time outside in the snow and if you're someone she knows? You might feel a snowball hit the back of your neck when she catches you unaware outside. She'd apologize, but she's not really sorry.
This is her first time experiencing a lighter event and she is going to try to make the most of it. She's not necessarily a huge holiday person, most of her holidays haven't been too happy, but the mansion is making it hard not to get a little caught up in things.
Mirror Wynonna
Wynonna's mirror has never been allowed to cross over to the other side before and she wants to make the most of the experience. For those whole run into they may not at first realize it's the same woman for her mirror makes not attempts to pass off as her Real. This version of Wynonna is much more conservative looking with straighter hair and bangs. Her attire is the oppisote of flashing, wearing beiges and browns to help her blend in a little better. She wanders the halls not to cause trouble but to gather information. She visits the places she knows her Real likes to frequent like Damon's Bar, the stables, the roof, and she even makes it out to the beach at one point. If people start talking to her she'll respond but mostly she can be found sitting or standing by herself in these places, as if she's waiting for something.
What she's hoping for is to run into her Real, not to interact but to watch her, to see what she can exploit when the time comes because her Real has something she wants, and while the time isn't right to try to take it just yet she might still learn something that can come in handy later on.

"Oh, but it could have. And in the shape of my design, it did." He keeps the accent up, just to be even more of an ass. "Poor little heir. Always faced with the hard choices, always losing people to her legacy. Never the winner. Never the champion. Never the hero people thank, only the problem they wish would go away."
no subject
"Is that the best you have? Because honestly, you're going to have to be a little more original than that if you think you can get to me," She barks out, her jaw clenching in annoyance. She has a terrible poker face and if Johnny is anything like Doc then he can see right through her.
Which honestly just pisses her off even more.
"Besides, I think we both know only one of us is going to go away in this situation."
She doesn't hesitate before pulling the trigger but when Peacemaker should have delivered a bullet to his head, ending his revenant existence it instead shoots out a couple of dark, licorice gum drops pelting him in the head instead.
....What the hell?

"Foiled again!" He shouts in delight, dropping the accent. "This is a special time of year. Death isn't something you can invoke right now, little heir. Not even the kind that only you can bring about."
no subject
"Stop calling me that. I'm more than just the heir."
In fact, here in Wonderlan she hasn't really had to be the heir at all. It's one of the things she's liked best about this place, even if she rarely verbally acknowledges it.

Her inability to put him out of her misery is only goading him on further. Screw the ball and anything the queen on this side wanted them to be a part of. This was the only worthwhile reason to cross over to this side.

To her credit Wynonna isn't dumb enough to argue that she doesn't hold Doc's leash to a certain extent, she knows that and at times she's purposefully taken advantage of it. Arguing it would only give him more fodder to work with.
She places Peacemaker back in it's holster, there's no point in keeping it drawn when she cant use it properly.

He's an ass and he knows it. An unabashed ass who is apologizes not for his rudeness or the way his lips curl upward into something of a pleased smirk on the tail end of his harshness.

It bothers that this version of Doc not only doesn't adore her but seems to take pleasure in her frustration and strife. It was so unlike the Doc she knew, the one she loved. She doesn't know how to respond to it.

Nor is he going to explain the complexities of being a Mirror to a Real. They're not things he wants her to know, nor would Her Majesty approve of him sharing them.

Maybe some of his kind would disagree, but the darker shades he was spun with had him agreeing with that sentiment. The Reals were impure, flawed, and broken in ways that could not be repaired. Wynonna was just one example of many.

She snorts in derision at that. If anyone was wrong here, it was hime. His attitude, his shaved face and lack of accent, not to mention his status as a revenant, everything about him was wrong.
no subject
Or, you know, don't. He's fine with watching you continue to flounder when you forget to cover the mirrors. It's entertainment like no other.
no subject
But it's really just overcompensation. a way to try to mask those deep rooted insecurities that she's carried with her for most of her life.

"Do you really think just because you watch me like some pathetic Peeping Tom that means you know me? You know, you talk about how I have Doc wrapped around my finger but you're clearly just as obsessed with me, you have been from the moment you told Ray about Willa."
That she hadn't forgotten about, how shocking it had been to have something so personal used against her. Ironically, she and Ray are good friends now and probably wouldn't be if he hadn't said anything.

Johnny's smile is a cruel one as he steps around her and waves without turning around. "Ta-ta, little heir."
later; real doc
She was in love with him. Fuck.
She hears the door open and looks up. "Hey."
no subject
But he can tell that there's something wrong — very wrong? — the moment he lies on her.
"What's wrong?"
no subject
She takes another sip from the bottle in her hand before responding.
"I met your mirror, he's one of the ones that took the invitation to crossover."
no subject
"Of course he did," Doc murmurs, reaching up to remove his hat.
He tosses it at his desk and moves to stand next to the couch, but doesn't say anything. Doc waits, letting her speak of her own according. (For now.)
no subject
"He's a revenant, and Peacemaker isn't working right -- it shot candy at him."
no subject
"I would say that's hard to believe, but seein' as I have no trouble picturin' it..." He shrugs. Perhaps she doesn't need his honesty there, but it was hard not to admit to not being surprised when her words didn't alarm him in the slightest.
It made sense. In a twisted, cruel kind of way. It made a lot of sense.
"Nothin' is workin' right at the moment. In case you haven't noticed, the walls are currently made of pastries and candied goods."
no subject
"Of course I've noticed that." Wynonna has indulged in the sweets as much as anyone but she didn't realize the enchantment would spread to her gun, somehow.
no subject
He sighs, sitting down on the arm of the couch by her head. "Wynonna, I am not the best person, and Wyatt and I did clash from time to time before Constance Clootie's offer was ever even a factor. It is not that great of a leap to make to assume that in whatever version of history that other me follows, things went south in a way that was beyond repair."
