I Don't Want A Lot For Christmas, There Is Just One Thing I Need [open]
Who: Wynonna, Wynonna's Mirror, and you
Where: throughout the mansion
When: the 13th onward
Rating: PG-13 at most, I imagine
Summary: Thanks to some cookies Wynonna feels like spreading some Christmas cheer via music, while her mirror is mostly trying to just gather information. Prose or action, I'll match either one.
The Story:
Wynonna
Wynonna isn't known for her good judgement a lot of the time and she has a wicked sweet tooth so when she sees the basket with the different cookies? She decides to grab one of them and the one she happens to grab in the one that makes people want to spread holiday music. Wynonna's taste goes for more more pop music than traditional hymns which is why when she starts dancing around the entrance hall of the mansion singing it'll be this song. At least she's a decent singer so it's not likely to hurt anyone's ears or anything if someone is lucky enough to catch her impromptu performance.
After the effects of the cookie wears off she becomes a little more discerning and doesn't touch any of the other ones. She can be found sometimes breaking off parts of the walls to much on, however, and she finds herself spending a lot of time outside in the snow and if you're someone she knows? You might feel a snowball hit the back of your neck when she catches you unaware outside. She'd apologize, but she's not really sorry.
This is her first time experiencing a lighter event and she is going to try to make the most of it. She's not necessarily a huge holiday person, most of her holidays haven't been too happy, but the mansion is making it hard not to get a little caught up in things.
Mirror Wynonna
Wynonna's mirror has never been allowed to cross over to the other side before and she wants to make the most of the experience. For those whole run into they may not at first realize it's the same woman for her mirror makes not attempts to pass off as her Real. This version of Wynonna is much more conservative looking with straighter hair and bangs. Her attire is the oppisote of flashing, wearing beiges and browns to help her blend in a little better. She wanders the halls not to cause trouble but to gather information. She visits the places she knows her Real likes to frequent like Damon's Bar, the stables, the roof, and she even makes it out to the beach at one point. If people start talking to her she'll respond but mostly she can be found sitting or standing by herself in these places, as if she's waiting for something.
What she's hoping for is to run into her Real, not to interact but to watch her, to see what she can exploit when the time comes because her Real has something she wants, and while the time isn't right to try to take it just yet she might still learn something that can come in handy later on.

Except not really -- not here anyway. Wynonna doesn't have any sort of reputation here in Wonderland and it's honestly refreshing. And the way she's grinning shows that she doesn't actually mind what Sarah said either.
This is definitely the sort of friendship she has needed in her life.

"You won, fair and square. Now it's up to me to get us both warm. Hot chocolate at the bakery?"

Despite popular belief Wynonna does occasionally drink liquid that doesn't have any alcohol in it. It helps that it has sugar in though. She is many things but healthy is not one of them.

"I have no idea -- this is my first winter here so I have no idea what to expect. I wouldn't mind if it did -- Purgatory would snow a lot too."

"Kurt and I..."
She pauses, not realizing in that moment how many of her memories include Taylor back when everyone was happy. There's a hint of pain, but she continues. "Kurt and I had a friend, she was the same age as me, and we used to pour water up and down our driveway so we could slide around in our boots. He always stood in the middle, holding onto my hand on one side, and Taylor on the other. Never let us fall."

"That sounds like a lot of fun -- we didn't really have many friends growing up, it was mostly just Willa and me, and then later Waverly. But the two of them never got along well."
Well, that's an understatement. Willa bullied Waverly, mostly because their father Ward did (probably because he knew Waverly likely wasn't his, not that Wynonna knows that).

There's so much more to tell, and Sarah feels like she could say it to Wynonna, but now probably isn't the time. She doesn't want to ruin the good mood from the snowball fight.

There was only three years difference between Willa and Wynonna -- but between Wynonna and Waverly there was six years. Nine between Willa and Waverly. For kids that can seem like forever.

"Now, he can be kind of an idiot and I'm pretty happy we're different, but he's still an okay brother." She's smirking, lightly teasing Kurt even though he's not there to hear it.

Granted, Waverly was also encouraged to go after her education and make something of herself in a way that Wynonna simply wasn't, but that wasn't something she really acknowledged, most of the time.

Not that it'll prevent her from getting knocked up anyway -- something she technically already is but is currently blissfully unaware of thanks to how Wonderland puts everything on pause. For the best, really.

She knows it's possible, there are so many kids here, but thank whatever that he hasn't shown up. "I can understand, for sure, needing to be careful in that situation, I can't imagine a kid would make it any easier."
no subject
It's stressful enough having her baby sister there -- and Waverly was more than capable of holding her own in a fight if she needed to. A kid would be way worse.
Wynonna pauses for a moment, it's not exactly the right time to unlock some of her tragic backstory as they were just out having fun but she finds herself mentioning it anyway:
"My childhood wasn't really great -- even before things got really bad. My father treated my older sister, Willa, like a soldier because she was supposed to be the heir, not me."
Talking about Willa is always difficult and painful because it's a story with nothing but unhappy twists and turns.
no subject
"So things were never rosy. Sounds like my childhood. Minus the treating kids like soldiers, thing. Actually, that sounds like Jane's childhood."
Stalling, but she'll tell her. She will.
no subject
"Pretty much -- anyway, I wouldn't want to put a kid through any of what I went through, that much I know."
It's why when she does give birth in the future, she'll send her daughter away, convinced that was the only way to keep her safe.

But she only has one partner here and she can't get pregnant, so why not? It's true that in this case, ignorance is bliss...
no subject
She still thinks that's a bunch of crap, honestly.
no subject
"Can't win 'em all, I guess."

"To the good stuff."
fade?
She clinks her glass against her friend's.
"To the good stuff."
