Summary: New Year's Eve Party
The Story:

[ Previously in the month all residents received an invitation to a formal event: a black tie affair to ring in the New Year. The ballroom and adjacent areas are decked out for the party starting at eight o'clock sharp, meticulously planned and executed, glittering décor to match the no doubt glittering attire as music pours into the halls from the dance floor.

Bars flank each side, service for all manner of alcohol unless a minor requests something, and the primary setting stage features an enormous clock for the countdown. ]




[ Where will you be when the clock strikes midnight? ]

Well, they don’t seem very me either, but I can over look that if it means I get to see you in a tux.

[ Because he really can’t fault something that makes Teddy look even better than normal. He grins into the kiss Teddy steal and slides his arms up his shoulders letting them drape around Teddy’s neck. ]

I know, you’ve only been here a few months but it’s like I can’t remember this place without you. [ He can, but he doesn’t like to. ] Everything feels right again, for the first time in three and a half years.

[How can he not smile when Billy says things like that? He practically melts in response; given what he knows Billy had been through prior to his arrival, it's impossible for him to say exactly how much it means to hear that.]

Sorry to have kept you waiting.

[As if he'd had any control over it in the least. His smile pulls a bit to one side.]

I have to say, I'm not hating the chance to see you in a tux, either. Parties like this definitely have perks, I'll admit that much.

I would wait a thousand lifetimes for you.

[ It’s gross and sickening and he means every single sappy word of the statement. He would wait forever if it meant Teddy was the end game. It would always be worth it.

And then he has to ruin it. ]

It also means I get to take you out of the tux later, which I’m always a fan of. [ look it’s not his fault he’s practically married to an Adonis. If he had his way Teddy would never have clothes on. But then they probably would never leave there room...he’s actually not seeing a downside to that. ]

[Why are they both like this? Teddy's smile warms in reply; that line is always going to work on him.]

Awww. From sweet to horny in seconds flat.

[That's talent.]

I'll admit, I'm a real fan of that part, too.

[ Something slow is playing and they are wrapped around each other already, might as well sway. ]

[That's a 'yes.' He smiles, stepping back and extending a hand in offer.]

[ Can the level of smoop get higher? Probably.

He reaches for Teddy’s hand with a grin. ]

He takes Billy's hand and places the other against his hip, steadily pulling him towards the dance floor.]
