[NYE Party] happy new year and lots of fun

Who: EVERYONE, but especially you!
Where: Wonderland Ballroom
When: New Year's Eve
Rating: PG - PG13 (will change if applicable)
Summary: New Year's Eve Party
The Story:

[ Previously in the month all residents received an invitation to a formal event: a black tie affair to ring in the New Year. The ballroom and adjacent areas are decked out for the party starting at eight o'clock sharp, meticulously planned and executed, glittering dΓ©cor to match the no doubt glittering attire as music pours into the halls from the dance floor.

Bars flank each side, service for all manner of alcohol unless a minor requests something, and the primary setting stage features an enormous clock for the countdown.

[ Where will you be when the clock strikes midnight? ]

I like hot pockets. I just forgot how great other food is!

( this is what happens when a child is left to feed themselves, really. )

The closets and kitchen can't give me Ma's pies though.

No, they don't. You're right about that.

[Definitely what happens when you let a kid fend for themselves.]

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with hot pockets [Even if there is.] I'm just saying, you could have a lot more than that.

What do you order when you go out to dinner?
kryptomight: (where should we run to?)

I don't know? I don't usually go out to eat. .

( living in the middle of nowhere's part of that. having two parents that technically didn't exist until suddenly they did and reality started shifting around them, his own memories started twisting--it's a little complicated. )

Mom usually made me dinner at home. Or packed me snacks when I went out. And packed me lunches for school.

Most people don't usually. That's why it's a special occasion. You don't even go out for burgers and shakes?

[It seems complicated. Not because he hasn't gone out for dinner, but the child superhero thing.]
kryptomight: (i forgot what i was so worried about.)

Sometimes burgers and milkshakes! And fair food, when the fairs come around!

( those are super important, obviously. who doesn't love churros and cotton candy. )

Probably you shouldn't live on fair food, but if you want a corn dog every now and then.

[It's still a step up from a hot pocket.

Maybe.]
kryptomight: but not batman. (maybe after a napο½€ though.)

I also have pizza rolls.

( clearly those are better, yes? )

Pizza rolls.

[How can those be better?]

What's the difference between those and Hot Pockets?

[No, really. Isn't that basically a bite sized Hot Pocket?]
kryptomight: (it's quite the predicament.)

[personal profile] kryptomight 2018-01-23 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
They're tinier.

( clearly. tiny things are always better. his logic is sound. )

That might be the only difference.

[And it's not a real difference.]
kryptomight: (heard a rumor once.)

I'll just have to take your word for it.
