Summary: New Year's Eve Party
The Story:

[ Previously in the month all residents received an invitation to a formal event: a black tie affair to ring in the New Year. The ballroom and adjacent areas are decked out for the party starting at eight o'clock sharp, meticulously planned and executed, glittering décor to match the no doubt glittering attire as music pours into the halls from the dance floor.

Bars flank each side, service for all manner of alcohol unless a minor requests something, and the primary setting stage features an enormous clock for the countdown. ]

Yeah, tell me about it. [ Or don't because he's pretty much written the book on that topic. And had this place show him the movie version over and over again since he's been here. ]

That's the most fucked up part of this place--makes you homesick for how screwed up things were at home.

Yeah, I guess. I mean, shit was more predictably messed up at home, sure, but I also never got any rest from it either, at least there's down time between events here.

Downtime's only good if you have, you know, peacetime hobbies.

[the times he's not trying to kill shit here are, arguably, his most awkward. ]

Well, if you call drinking a hobby then I have one I'm really good at.

[it's said as a joke, though there are shades of truth to it. wynonna spends a lot of her time drinking, though at least not as destructively as she was at first.]

You're not so bad at shooting, though, either.

I'd hope so -- that was kinda my job back home.

[hunting down the revenants, shooting them, sending them back to hell.]
