At least the crying doesn't seem too out of place in this situation. Sure, Ange isn't crying, but she likes to think of herself as someone who's tough as nails (Not entirely true.) Usually people would be scared enough by zombie attacks to cry, so she hasn't fully caught onto the fact that Mikan is just.. kind of sensitive yet.
But once she's made sure the other girl has left, Ange starts to lead the zombie a bit into a different direction, making sure there's no other zombies heading her way.. And with a bit of quick running and some turns she manages to disappear out of the monster's sight enough to lose him.
It does mean it takes a bit for her to get back to where she saw Mikan last, but she does manage to find the other girl after a bit.
