Summary: Catch-all log for the event! Mikan loses herself in fantasies... and then zombies. Did I mention the zombies?
The Story:

A - Fantasies

"Oh nooo~! I'm late for school agaiiin!"

It all starts with a classic anime cliche - the girl running to school with toast in her mouth. She's headed towards Hope's Peak Academy, which may be familiar to some residents of Wonderland. But this version of the school has WAY brighter colors, and much happier students. Should you dare to walk inside, you'll find even more old-school cliches - the transfer student being introduced before class (Which is Mikan)! Eating lunch on the roof (Made and eaten by Mikan)! Opening your locker to discover a whole mountain of love letters (Of course it's Mikan's locker)!

But this isn't to say Mikan is oblivious that this is all fake... She knows. She's fully aware. It's just that she just does not care. After all, she's constantly surrounded by cheery students who want her attention 24/7. Why does she have to face reality just yet? Feel free to "bump" into her around the corner as she runs to school, or any of those scenarios listed above.

Special note for our Dangan Cast - you will see your "doubles" among the classmates. Dipper Fresh, anime-style.

B - Zombies

Inevitably, for her own good, Mikan has been broken out of her illusions and... now things are dark, grim, and once again -

"WHYYYYY?!"

She's frantically climbing up a tree, trying to avoid the one monster-type she dreads above all else. She's also crying hysterically - well, more hysterical than usual.

"Why, why, whyy zombies?! Why is it always Zombies?! Events aren't supposed to repeaaat!"

He looks up at the sky, as if to check the sun and immediately regrets it. He lets out a soft 'ugh' at the horrible brightness of it all. He's pretty certain this is what the inside of Pinkie's mind looks like.

"I'm not even sure if a day has gone by yet. How much time usually passes?"

[naughty_nurse]

"That changes too." Mikan rubs her eyes. "Sometimes it's just a weekend... other times, it's a week. It's never been less or more than those. But I was so caught up in my fantasy I never bothered to check any clocks... I'm not even sure they would've been accurate!"

"A weekend or a week. At least it's consistent."

He's trying his best not to sound that sarcastic, but it sure slips out.

"Given how this world wants us to stay here, chances are they would have been very inaccurate. Though...I doubt we'll have to worry about that if this place gets overrun by those... things."

[naughty_nurse]

"Death isn't permanent here..." She reminds him, as grim as it is. "...But being one of those things... it's horrible beyond measure. Death itself is almost better."

And yes, that is experience talking.

That's not great experience. That's the opposite of great experience.

"I'd still rather avoid it if at all possible."

He paws the ground, unsettled- if the girls were here, really here and not fake illusions, they'd know what to do. They're the warriors here, Sunburst... he's just a scholar. He can offer solutions with books and knowledge- but straight up battle? This is not his thing at all.

"Has... has Wonderland done that before? Turned people into...well. Undead things?"

Mikan leans against the three, closing her eyes. She hates this memory, to draw back upon it... but it's been necessary to keep, to inform others.

"... I don't understand it. Events aren't supposed to repeat themselves. It's one of the rules... but for some reason... those things... they keep showing up. Is it because so many worlds have them too? ... What a horrible thing to think of..."

Sunburst looks back the way he came- where those zombies are probably still shuffling around.

"Well, we have them in fiction where I come from- if it's something that's common enough in other worlds- and with this place taking things from people's memories of home- it stands to reason we'd be somewhat inundated with them. ...Not that it's pleasant, mind."

[naughty_nurse]

"It's a terrible feeling..." Mikan looks down at her trembling hands, and traces the veins in her pale arms. "...A part of you is still there, but it's... corrupted. You can't fight it. There's no right or wrong. Just... hunger. That's all it is, in the end. Hunger above anything else."

That's...excessively concerning, Mikan. Sunburst stares up at her for a moment, brows rising.

"So...you've...been one of these things before? Did- did Wonderland turn you into one? Does it have that kind of power?"

He should probably be concerned about her well-being, but Knowledge first.

A long, heavy sigh, as if that doesn't already the question.

"... Yes. During one of the events, I got infected... I didn't tell anyone, because I was so sure I could heal it and take care of it." Suffice to say, she hadn't. She also leaves out the part where she had to be killed to be stopped.

Concern levels are at maximum now.

"Did...did you heal it? Or did you just wait for the event to end?"

[naughty_nurse]

She had hoped the implication was obvious - or maybe Sunburst is just too optimistic for his own good.

"... I turned." She says so quietly that it's a miracle he hears it at all.

Optimism is a powerful thing, but hope is quickly making a sharp exit away from him.

"Oh...I'm very sorry," he's not sure what else you can say to someone who got turned into a zombie 'you look better now?', no, that's silly.

If he's not asking for details, she's not going to give any. A long, sad silence stretches out. "... It can't be helped. It's in the past." She finally says.

Normally, Sunburst would be ALL ABOUT the details. But even he, with his generally poor grasp of social cues can see this is not a comfortable topic. He's still getting to know people here, best not sully it by sticking his muzzle where it doesn't belong.

"Of course. Well. Um. I hope you get through this one unharmed?"

Nailed it. He's the best at friendship. The best.

Good call, Sunburst.

"... I hope the same of you." Seriously, she does. A nice guy like him doesn't deserve to suffer such horrors. "Please... be careful."

He'd much rather no-one end up meeting a stick end in this. He dithers for a moment, not really wanting to leave her, but not planning on sticking around in the open, either. He's not really battle-ready.

"I will. I- are you sure you'll be okay, up there?"

[naughty_nurse]

Mikan doesn't answer right away, but she does sigh. After another moment, she begins trying to climb down. "...I can't stay here forever."

He steps back a bit, to give her room. He keeps alert, ears raised, listening for any sound of the shambling masses.

"It would get uncomfortable after a while. Perhaps we could find some sort of safe area, or at least make one."

Once she's on the ground, she smooths down her uniform.

"...They're only as strong as the average human. If we can find a sturdy shelter, we should be all right."

"I'm...honestly not sure how strong an average human is."

Not very, he hopes. They're tall, yes, but they have to have pretty off kilter balance walking on two legs all the time- plus they don't really have sharp claws or sharp teeth. It can't be THAT bad, right?

"Okay. Well. That shouldn't be too difficult."

"Oh... sorry." She sighs again, curling her hair behind her ears. "It's always hard to remember not every world has... well, us."

"Don't worry about it," he offers an encouraging smile. "What could you compare it to? Could an average human say, pick up a boulder?"

[naughty_nurse]

Mikan looks at him in surprise. "Oh, absolutely not! They'd have to be really, really, really strong! ... Maybe a weight-lifter or a Super High School Level talent... but definitely not an average human!"

"Okay, good. Then that's something."

Not as strong as an earth pony, then. He can work with this.

"Are you guys fast? Could they be outrun? I mean, you humans only have two legs, so I suppose ti would make sense you're slower, but I don't want to presume."
