Spirit in the Skye | OTA
Who: Daisy Johnson (Skye in this case) and YOU
Where: Various
When: February 9th-11th
Rating: PG-13 (Mentions of blood and gunshot wound injuries.)
Summary: Daisy 'wakes up' in Wonderland going by the name Skye is recovering from a severe injury. She's also aged back to 25 years old and has long hair again.
The Story:
CLOSED TO JEMMA AND FITZ
[Skye woke up to that growingly familiar burning sensation of pain that radiated throughout her abdomen, which she’s been dealing with ever since she got shot three weeks ago. She was getting ready to call Simmons back in to give her more pain meds when she realizes how different this bed feels, and the familiar tugging on her arm from the IV was gone when she brought a hand up to her face.
Opening her eyes panic instantly sets in when she finds herself in a completely unfamiliar room and all of the annoying equipment she had been hooked up to was gone.”]
Jemma?
[No answers, and she’s clearly the only one in this room with no windows. Mind racing with a billion scenarios as to where she could be and how she got here, Skye gets out of the bed slightly hunched over but hurrying over to the door. Pressing her ear against the door she doesn’t hear anything and risks carefully opening the door to look outside. Yeah, none of this was familiar. This wasn’t the bus and she has nothing with her to protect herself with, but she fears she would just be a sitting duck if she stays in her room. Even if walking around right now was proving to be way more difficult than she wishes it was. In fact she doesn’t get very far before the hallway is tilting and she’s collapsing to the floor.]
OTA
Diner
[Skye isn’t really feeling like herself, but, she should try to eat something. Even if eating recently has been a struggle. Finding a diner on the floor above where she had come out of, Skye walks in looking like death warmed over. Taking a seat at one of the booths, Skye reads over the menu although most of it didn’t look very appealing to her right now.]
Garden
[Skye had overheard someone saying there were dinosaurs outside, but despite even waking up in this place, Skye found that hard to believe without checking it out for herself.
They weren’t joking.]
How high am I right now?
[She’s speaking to herself, but, if someone overhears her hopefully they can convince her that they’re seeing it too.]
Wildcard
[Have something in mind or want to work out a specific thread? Feel free to either make up something or send me a PM or plurk]

Finding Skye is a relief, and he'll kneel down beside her and offer his right hand, holding his left close to his chest. Hi, friend. Do you need support getting up? Things don't have to be weird, right?]
no subject
Fitz?
[She's relieved for about two seconds, thinking she had somehow slept walked until she sees their surroundings.]
Where are we?
[She keeps her voice low, afraid of being overheard]
no subject
Oh. She wants to know where. His mouth hangs open for a long, pregnant moment.]
Um. We. We. We're...
[The words aren't coming. His voice is thick and slurring even in the single syllable. ]
no subject
What happened?
[To him she means. Did he get knocked over the head?]
Where's Jemma?
no subject
I... I was, um... [He gestures vaguely, as though the answer is contained in the twist of his arm.] ...And Jemma's... she's... [He pinches the bridge of his nose. She's in as much danger as the rest of them.] She isn't wearing her harness.
[When he gets it out, he searches her face with wide eyes. That was it, right? He got his point across??]

but while she's waiting for the food she watches daisy walk in and take a seat. hm. ]
-- Love the hair.
[ she invites herself to take a seat across from her. ]

Looking away, Skye presses her palms against her eyes.
Yep. She’s hallucinating. Peggy Carter, really? Skye’s done some research on her beyond what they learned in school about her.]
Not my first choice, but, sure. Peggy Carter in a diner.
[She’s mumbling to herself.]
no subject
[ there's a remarkable patience in her voice. as though, perhaps, she's managed to come to terms with the utter insanity of this particular event. it's disquieting, it's disorienting, and nearly everyone she's come across who's been altered is fresh off some horror. ]
no subject
Looking up from her hands, Skye stares at ‘Peggy’ sitting across from her. Figuring if she could just feel the air in front of her, and know that there was nothing actually solid sitting across from her, Skye reaches her hand out directly for Peggy’s face. This would totally break the hallucination, right?]

But then, dinosaurs. Jesus. ]
If you're on something, I must be on it too.
no subject
Did you wake up here too?
[Judging by what she had just said, Skye assumes that's what happened.]

[ Pepper looks around them, still confused. ]
At first I thought this must be a dream, but -
You don't - ah. Work for Killian? AIM?
no subject
[Skye still isn’t sure what to believe right now. Even without all of this going on, she’s been pretty out of it the last few weeks.]
No. Why? Do you think they did this?

diner |
he wanders into the diner and orders three espresso shots and a cheeseburger before flopping into one of the chairs.
this is exactly the time for a social call, right? ]
no subject
Getting up from her seat, Skye walks over to where he was and honestly has no idea what else to say besides:]
You're Tony Stark, right?
no subject
he's even used to it from before. he's a stark, it comes with some recognition. ]
depends. who's asking?
no subject
[And she's staring at him in shock, but not the shock he might be used to.]
Sorry, it's just...
You look so young.
[Smooth.
First Peggy Carter and now him?]
garden
[ Hey, it's Sam, and he's... admittedly a little less surprised about the dinosaurs than she is. He shoots her a lopsided, but tired, sort of smile, crossing his arms as he peers out across the grounds. ]
We should probably get inside. [ He mutters, now frowning. ] I doubt they're friendly.
no subject
I doubt they even care that we’re here.
[Possibly not at all true, but everything about today was weird. She woke up in this place, her friends were here too from farther along in their timeline. Now there’s dinosaurs?]
no subject
[ He's not looking to chance losing a life on a dinosaur's whims, okay? Sam shifts his weight, glancing toward the mansion, but unwilling to leave her out here alone with them. ]
Want to head in?
no subject
[Although from what she could remember from Jurassic Park/history, some of them looked like herbivores.]
I mean, it probably won't make much difference if we're inside or not, but, sure.
[She should probably sit down, as stubborn as she normally was, it's not like she could outrun the dinosaurs if they did happen to change their mind.]
I'm Skye, by the way. I'm guessing you woke up here too?

diner.
Right now the German shepherd is positioned directly under the table across from Daisy's pulling scraps from Daryl's hand that he passes over long before finishing the meal. His appetite hasn't changed, he's had to learn to live on just a little.
Daryl remembers Daisy from their conversation at the bar and the brief stint training, but he didn't remember her looking quite like this, usually, she comes forward a little too confident.]
You look like hand-delivered hell. Might wanna make whatever you get a double.
no subject
Thanks, but, I'm not really hungry.
[She couldn't remember the last time she was able to actually eat something. Getting shot in the stomach and having surgery because of it really messed her up.
Skye only came here because it was the only thing that remotely felt familiar to her. She's been to a lot of diners in her time.]
Your dog came with you?
[To this place, she means. Not just the diner.]
no subject
[Obviously diner meant food, food was made for basic consumption, not slouching and looking like a sadsack waiting for somebody to ask about your day.]
He goes most places with me. Not like it's new.
no subject
Then why was he here?]I guess because this place feels familiar to me.
[It's about the only place that does.
Either the guy didn't understand her question, or that was his explanation. Which still didn't make much sense.]
They take dogs hostage too in this place?
