Who: Satoru and you! (plus one closed prompt)
Where: All over the Mansion
When: February 9-11
Rating: PG-13 maybe
Summary: Satoru’s an adult now and has no idea where he is. Fun times!
The Story:
Friday: Fifth floor, room 20 (closed)
When Satoru wakes up, it’s with a flurry of alarm. For one thing, he has no idea how he got to sleep in the first place. For another, he has no idea where he is. Did he blackout? This isn’t jail, he’s sure of that, but the last thing he remembers is the police showing up. He looks down at his hands and finds they aren’t covered in blood any longer. Was the whole thing some kind of dream? Or a hallucination?
After a couple moments of hesitation, during which he sits on his bed and stares dumbly around a room that looks like it belongs to an eleven-year-old, he gets up and ventures out into an obviously shared living area. There’s another door just to the side of the one he came out of, but he’s not going through it. Nope. Not with no idea what’s on the other side.
Friday: The Kitchen
With a vague idea now of where he is, Satoru has decided that checking the place out is an okay idea. It’s still hard to believe, and Kayo wasn’t exactly the most helpful kid he’s ever met--which isn’t really saying anything, since he’s met very few children since he stopped being one himself. He doesn’t remember her at all from when they were kids; all he knows about her is that she died. He’s not sure how much of what she said he actually believes, but some investigation might help his thoughts settle into place.
Finding the kitchen is the first good thing that’s happened to him since he woke up, and possibly the best thing that’s happened in the last few days he can remember. He sets about investigating the place. Maybe he can make something to eat. Something that isn’t pizza or curry. Though if he thinks about it, he wouldn’t mind eating his mom’s curry again and he stands still, staring into space, wondering if he will ever get to eat it again.
Saturday: The Grounds
Somehow, out of everything that’s been happening, the dinosaurs aren’t entirely a surprise. That doesn’t mean he’s going to get too close to them. He lingers around the fountain in the garden, just far enough away from the Mansion to have a good look around, and close enough that he can bolt for the door if he needs to.
Dinosaurs aside, he’s starting to realize the scope of this place. There are some people here who seem to know him and others who clearly don’t. He’s not sure whether that corroborates anything Kayo told him or not. It’s all still pretty unbelievable and the dinosaurs aren’t helping. He’s not entirely convinced this isn’t an elaborate hallucination and that his mother’s death wasn’t just the beginning of it. He has no idea what would cause him to be seeing something like this, but it’s got to be better than finding his mother with a knife in her side.
Hesitantly, he ventures away from the fountain and further into the gardens. He might as well look around some more.
Sunday: The Library
The longer he’s there, the more it seems like a good idea to do some research. He stumbles across a gigantic library sometime late on Saturday and he stays there for most of Sunday. No matter how much he wanders through the stacks, he can’t seem to find anything helpful, though. Nothing about Wonderland, anyway.
Eventually, he finds his way to one of the tables and sits down. Folding his arms on the table top, he puts his head down. None of this makes any sense. It might as well all be a dream. So if he goes to sleep, maybe he’ll wake up back in reality. It hasn’t worked the last two nights, but maybe it will this time.
(Throughout the event, Satoru will be wandering around the common areas of the Mansion. Feel free to run into him anywhere!
I'll match prose or brackets.Or apparently switch them like I did on Minato.)
