[Open] Dinosaurs eat man...

Summary: Billy is suddenly 15 and not in control of his powers, Gwen just wants to swing from the necks of Brontosauruses.
The Story:

Billy



Two days ago he was happy to avoid John Kesler in the hallways. He'd managed to go an entire week without a bloody nose or a black eye or bruised ribs. His mother looked so relived every day he’d come home from school on time and not after dinner trying to hide his latest injuries.

One day ago he saw what his cowardice had wrought- freshman with a day old black eye about to get another one. Kesler didn’t stop when Billy made himself scarce- he just found a new victim. He didn’t think, he just acted putting himself in front of the boy making some quip about John being gay and the next thing he knew there was a fist coming towards his face. It all happened so fast, a power surged up from his core and he lashed out- electricity shooting from his hand and into John blowing him back against the wall. The air around Billy crackled and he did the only thing he could- he ran.

Today he woke up in a strange place, in bed with a strange boy and he had almost blown up a room, not to mention the dinosaurs (!!!).

He needed answers, he needed someone to help him control his powers and he needed to know why he was in bed with a boy this morning. But most of all he needed coffee. So a stop at the coffee shop, followed by the library and then of course outside because Dinosaurs!

Well, her first event had Lisa Frank zombies and her second event has Dinosaurs. She knows which one wins in awesomeness.

She’s not sure what’s going on with some of the residents- and she’s spotted a larger number of kids running around, but it’s hard to miss the giant reptiles roaming around the grounds.

She’s mostly spending her time out there, trying to keep an eye on anyone who gets to close- keep people safe if she needs to. They seem calm right now but that can change really quickly. She's not in her full costume but she's got her hoodie on, and her web shooters attached to her wrists at all times- her face is unmasked, its time she stopped hiding.

“Ok, but what if I could web one and swing off it like a branch? Like Tarzan but less vine more spider.”

Sunburst has taken to hiding in the library a lot since he got here. He doesn't understand anything that's going on, and maybe if he found the right book, something would be clearer to him. Namely why he's been foalnapped in the first place. He's nowhere near important enough for that. He's been keeping an eye on the human creatures. They're strange and confusing to him, but finding any in the library is enough to pique his interest. Anypony who comes into here must share a thirst for knowledge too, that stands to reason. So, nervously, he walks over to Billy and offers a small wave of his forehoof, he's not really great at social interactions with other ponies, let alone a brand new species. He's just going to have to wing it. "Um. Hello? Do you know where the Equestrian magic books are here? Uh...unless you're new too, in which case sorry, didn't mean to bother you."

Billy blinks. That’s a pony. A talking pony. He blinks again. Ok, he’s only been here for a few hours but this place already seems pretty crazy, and there are dinosaurs outside so a talking pony isn’t all that strange. Right? He should probably answer.

“Uh. I’m not sure. I just got here.” He wonders if there are books on magic. “Uh, maybe the magic section? Is there a magic section? We could look.”

There's nothing quite like a talking pony to make you truly question your sanity, after all. Seeing unicorns should be the first thing that comes to mind when insanity comes a'calling. He brightens. "Oh gosh, I hope so! I love magic, and I wouldn't want to miss out on my studies. I'd like that! You can probably see the taller shelves better than me." Being bipedal and taller than him and everything.

“You study magic?” He’s surpsied but why wouldn’t the talking pony study magic? It’s only logical in this illogical world. Still, he seems nice and Billy likes helping people...er ponies?

“Sure, I can check them. There should be some sort of filing system. That would make sense. Not that anything about today has made sense. Have you seen anything like a card catalogue?”

"I sure do! I love the study of magic, it's really interesting!" As bad as his magical casting is, this is still very much true. He scrunches his face up in thought. "I don't think so. Which you think would be a better idea with how big the place is. How is anypony going to find anything?"

“Well I suppose we can just search all the shelves...which might take us forever.” That’s a lot of shelves to search. If only he knew that he could also do magic, but alas he doesn’t yet.

“Where have you looked already?”

"I think that would take forever times infinity" There are so many books. "Um. I looked at the left hand side of the first floor. I've been there for...a while."

Hmmm. “If you study magic does that mean you can do some?” Because maybe they can find the books that way. “Can you summon things?”

His smile drops very quickly, shuffling his hooves, looking down at the ground. "Uh...no. I'm not very powerful when it comes to casting spells. I- I understand them really well! I just can't do them."
