It's not like she can justify being paranoid and on edge all the time by telling herself that it's better to be somewhere secure and with food, because the mirror side is anything but secure. The Queen would throw her away without blinking at least she was important to Carver even if it meant becoming someone she never wanted to be (becoming like him).
