The Story:

For the duration of this event, the entire mansion will be part space jail, part apocalyptic wasteland desert with an abandoned hotel/casino. On the third day an escape route not previously discovered in the Kyln appears and breakouts can be planned...

...Only for everyone to find themselves walking through a large glass prison toward the toxic gas filled wasteland of a desert, the Sierra Madre. Does the prison look better than the toxic cloud outside? If you're stuck in the prison after dark beyond day 3, you'll be forced into and locked in your cell for the night. But at least locked away, nothing from the outside can hurt you. If you try to brave the actual elements in the desert it might be a little hard to breathe. The air has pockets of toxic gas and even a few seconds of exposure could prove deadly. And watch out for the Ghost People.

Inside the abandoned hotel/casino you'll find shelter from the gas and ghosts, but beware the holograms that are 50/50 with their attitude. Prison beatings, a beating from the holograms, which one Would You Rather? And whatever you do, don't try on the collars lying around unless you like to explode. Literally.

Hey, it's that very large gardening monster guy who always seems to carry an air of far-away regret somewhere in the back of his mind.

He seems oddly complacent in this moment. He does nod at you as you approach, though.]

[This... had to be the person who owned that huge pink sweater that was found during that whole Mirror ordeal. There wasn't anyone else who could wear it besides him. Now that Minato's seen him in person, he believes it.

Minato felt bad for him too since the cells were only so large and the goat king was so big. He gave a nod back to him.]

Is there anything I can do to help you be more comfortable?

[Really, he didn't need much space of his own and he could take up some small part in front of the cell too, leaving him with more space in the back.]

Oh, uh. Well. I do not know... that you could do much. I mean, it would be rude to ask for anything, don't you think? Is there anything that you... do? I do not think that I know you... Please excuse me. Perhaps there's something you need me to do instead? A... heavy thing lifted or... a hug?

::He's a hopeless lump of dad.::

[Minato wished there really was more he could do. Without his Personas and without a weapon, he knew he couldn't do too much.]

I'm offering, so it's okay. My name's Minato, and I would have a better chance of getting us out if Wonderland hadn't taken away my powers.

[So not much consolation, but he was here for conversation?]

... Actually, maybe later I might need a heavy thing lifted or the hug. But maybe your name first?

::A thought crosses his mind::

What sort of powers did you possess as a human? Are you a magician?

It's still nice to meet you. Normally I could heal and use some elemental magic from my soul.

[He wished their first meeting wasn't under these circumstances. This could've been way more pleasant in terms of the setting. Prison was not all that great.]

Did you have any powers as King of the Monsters in the Underground too?

Ah, you have.... ah... SOUL magic.

Ah...

::Asgore looks around the room as if somehow there was a private place to have a conversation when, really, there is not. Because it's a prison cell. Eventually he settles back to looking directly at you.::

Whose... SOUL... did you... take?

[Minato moved a little closer to Asgore since it seemed like he wanted the conversation to be as private as possible. He shook his head, though the phrasing of that question did make him think about his soul and what it meant to him, especially now that he was in Wonderland.]

I didn't have to. It's my own. Were you worried that I might have?

[Then that led him to think about Asgore having taken any, though he didn't directly ask. Not yet, anyway.]

Oh, well, where I am from, to be able to do SOUL magic... you would need to possess another being's SOUL.

But perhaps it is different here you are from, with a more... friendly atmosphere.

[That atmosphere was certainly interesting, Minato thought. It was friendly, sort of, but also could be frightening and hostile at times. He smiled a little.]

A little. It was something I could just do. But have you possessed another being's SOUL before? What is that like?

::Asgore shifts awkwardly.::

Ah, uh. Powerful. And... aware... of the... other. Although not... strictly... everything.

I never did it for long.

While here, a human absorbed my SOUL upon my death for a day -- all I recall from the time is emotional reactions. Nothing distinct.

I didn't know someone could absorb your SOUL, too. Wouldn't they be able to feel what you felt as well?

[It had to work both ways, didn't it?]

Ah well, yes, of course, Tim gained access to my entire knowledge... but as a Monster's SOUL is much more fragile than a humans, even the strongest Monster SOUL, such as my own, is... less... there. Perhaps I lacked the... determination to bring myself to the fore. You should remember that, at the time, I had very recently died, my body dissolved away into dust.

Had I absorbed his SOUL, of course, I would have known about his entire life.

[Minato nodded, thinking that he understood.]

Does that bother you though, someone knowing your entire knowledge?

Ah, well, perhaps somewhat, but I have tried to live under a policy of truthfulness since arriving in Wonderland. So, I worry about it less now than I would have when I was alive. I am already dead -- what use are secrets to me now?

[Minato always felt like apologizing when he heard someone had died. He knew the feeling.]

It's a good policy though. Being truthful is probably easier than having to hide or lie. And better.
