Summary: A catch-all for the Kyln / Sierra Madre event!
The Story:

For the duration of this event, the entire mansion will be part space jail, part apocalyptic wasteland desert with an abandoned hotel/casino. On the third day an escape route not previously discovered in the Kyln appears and breakouts can be planned...

...Only for everyone to find themselves walking through a large glass prison toward the toxic gas filled wasteland of a desert, the Sierra Madre. Does the prison look better than the toxic cloud outside? If you're stuck in the prison after dark beyond day 3, you'll be forced into and locked in your cell for the night. But at least locked away, nothing from the outside can hurt you. If you try to brave the actual elements in the desert it might be a little hard to breathe. The air has pockets of toxic gas and even a few seconds of exposure could prove deadly. And watch out for the Ghost People.

Inside the abandoned hotel/casino you'll find shelter from the gas and ghosts, but beware the holograms that are 50/50 with their attitude. Prison beatings, a beating from the holograms, which one Would You Rather? And whatever you do, don't try on the collars lying around unless you like to explode. Literally.

[Naoki sighs and looks over at him.]

Maybe. [Without his powers, he has no idea how long his energy level will last.] But I'm not good at sitting still.

[hypoxic]

They could kill you if you don't. Might be a deterrent by itself.

[That used to mean something. Maybe Peggy's right and the different rules here have succeeded mostly in making everyone a little too reckless.]

I'm not too worried about that.

[He was a little reckless to begin with.]

If they've got us in prison, they probably aren't going to kill us.

[Of course, they only need one person to die to disprove that hypothesis.]

Even if they don't, surely you've been here long enough to know that dying isn't the worst thing that can happen here. Why not leave it alone for a bit? Isn't that the best way to to fight against an event like this?

I don't really think of it as fighting.

[But he is, at least for the moment, standing still.]

But I guess you're right in a way. I don't know how long this'll last, so I might as well conserve my energy for whatever comes next.

[Because there's no way this is it. It's never that easy.]

We it's certainly not intending to give us a vacation.

[At least it seems easy enough to make him listen to reason. He'd thought it would be harder, honestly.]

But this one might not have to go the way events often do.

[Naoki crouches down where he's standing, resting his forearms on his knees.]

How do you mean?

[hypoxic]

I mean that there've been plenty of events where we've been trapped within the confines of the mansion. And yet this one feels escapable for some reason. What if it wants us to escape? What if it's preparing to trap us outside?

If we play along for a bit, we might be able to bend without breaking into something worse.

[He sits up then.]

This might be the part where I mention that this event's likely from my world.

[Naoki tilts his head to one side, considering all of that. It seems fairly inescapable at the moment, but it's entirely possible that he just hasn't found the right clues yet to lead him to that kind of conclusion.]
