+ The Universe is under no obligation to make sense to You +
Who: EVERYONE!
Where: EVERYWHERE!
When: Saturday, May 19th - Wednesday, May 23rd.
Rating: PG-13, warn if you're gonna go higher!
Summary: A catch-all for the Kyln / Sierra Madre event!
The Story:
For the duration of this event, the entire mansion will be part space jail, part apocalyptic wasteland desert with an abandoned hotel/casino. On the third day an escape route not previously discovered in the Kyln appears and breakouts can be planned...
...Only for everyone to find themselves walking through a large glass prison toward the toxic gas filled wasteland of a desert, the Sierra Madre. Does the prison look better than the toxic cloud outside? If you're stuck in the prison after dark beyond day 3, you'll be forced into and locked in your cell for the night. But at least locked away, nothing from the outside can hurt you. If you try to brave the actual elements in the desert it might be a little hard to breathe. The air has pockets of toxic gas and even a few seconds of exposure could prove deadly. And watch out for the Ghost People.
Inside the abandoned hotel/casino you'll find shelter from the gas and ghosts, but beware the holograms that are 50/50 with their attitude. Prison beatings, a beating from the holograms, which one Would You Rather? And whatever you do, don't try on the collars lying around unless you like to explode. Literally.
[ This is a catch-all for all your prison/desert needs! Please mark your threads clearly in the subject line with your character's name and either a cell number or just a location if you didn't feel like randomizing it or you're making a top level for a public place (like the dining hall or wandering the hotel/casino). Here's the plot post if you need it!
Have fun! ]

Probably not... a good idea.
[He's seen what happens to the prisoners who start fights.]
no subject
[A 'nice' thought. Good old violence. ]
Not fuckin' thrilled about sitting around waiting for this shit to finish.
no subject
[It's not the best place to be, but R has managed to avoid anyone's ire so far. It probably won't last, given his tendency towards being non-combative unless severely threatened, but for now, he's content to all but hide in a corner.
Having this guy standing next to him will probably help for the moment.]
Could be... worse. Nothing trying to kill us... much.
no subject
At the moment, anyway. You never know when that can fuckin' change.
no subject
R's trying very hard not to stare.]
Haven't... seen you before...
[He feels like he would have noticed.]
no subject
Yeah, well. I don't always look like this. I'm like this because my fuckin' glamour stopped working. Normally, I look pretty damn human.
no subject
So... [The question comes up like it's being drawn through tar.] Have I seen you before..?
no subject
[Gren doesn't always notice everyone around him, until they become important to me. ]
I look like a regular human guy, with the glamour. 'Cept for the missing fuckin' arm. That's a thing no matter what.
no subject
Mm... don't remember. [It's easy to miss people when you keep to yourself as much as R does.]
What's your name?
no subject
[He shrugs to show no hard feelings. ]
Grendel. Gren.
no subject
I'm R. Good t... to meet you. [He thinks. Despite the outward appearance the overall first impression hasn't been too bad.
Grendel kind of reminds him of his friend M.]
no subject
[He's never going to be used to people saying that. Back home, most Fables consider it their worst possible luck to come across Gren on any particular day. People thinking it's good to come across him is still a novelty. ]
Likewise, I guess.
no subject
R shifts where he's sitting, leaning around Gren's considerable bulk to peer at the guard he was considering throwing something out.]
Still thinking of doing something... about him?
no subject
I'd really fuckin' like to- just to see what would happen. Don't know if you don't try, right?
no subject
He's not wrong, but R isn't about to start throwing chairs at people. It isn't generally looked on well. Grendel, though? Grendel looks like he can take care of himself if shit hits the fan.]
... You do you.
no subject
I am good at doin' me.
[And off he heads, in order to try and smack a guard's head in with his big old claw-hand. It works about as well as can be imagined, with the others swarming him in seconds with their batons to shock him down.
Good try, Gren. Points for effort. ]
no subject
R just sits and watches, wincing in something like sympathy as Grendel is summarily taken down by several of the guards. He'll go over to give him a hand up if they leave him there once they've subdued him, but if it's solitary for a while...
Well, good try, Gren.]
no subject
...Well, that didn't go the way I thought it fuckin' would.
no subject
I could tell. [R says, shaking his head slightly.] You okay..?
no subject
Yeah, I've had worse. Still, real bullshit not being able to fuck 'em over.
no subject
Looked like you had them... for a second.
no subject
Yeah, I did, right? If that fucker hadn't shown up with the tazer, I coulda taken them.
no subject
Better luck... next time, right?
no subject
Sure, next time I'll flatten the fucker.
