+ The Universe is under no obligation to make sense to You +
Who: EVERYONE!
Where: EVERYWHERE!
When: Saturday, May 19th - Wednesday, May 23rd.
Rating: PG-13, warn if you're gonna go higher!
Summary: A catch-all for the Kyln / Sierra Madre event!
The Story:
For the duration of this event, the entire mansion will be part space jail, part apocalyptic wasteland desert with an abandoned hotel/casino. On the third day an escape route not previously discovered in the Kyln appears and breakouts can be planned...
...Only for everyone to find themselves walking through a large glass prison toward the toxic gas filled wasteland of a desert, the Sierra Madre. Does the prison look better than the toxic cloud outside? If you're stuck in the prison after dark beyond day 3, you'll be forced into and locked in your cell for the night. But at least locked away, nothing from the outside can hurt you. If you try to brave the actual elements in the desert it might be a little hard to breathe. The air has pockets of toxic gas and even a few seconds of exposure could prove deadly. And watch out for the Ghost People.
Inside the abandoned hotel/casino you'll find shelter from the gas and ghosts, but beware the holograms that are 50/50 with their attitude. Prison beatings, a beating from the holograms, which one Would You Rather? And whatever you do, don't try on the collars lying around unless you like to explode. Literally.
[ This is a catch-all for all your prison/desert needs! Please mark your threads clearly in the subject line with your character's name and either a cell number or just a location if you didn't feel like randomizing it or you're making a top level for a public place (like the dining hall or wandering the hotel/casino). Here's the plot post if you need it!
Have fun! ]

[She equally hates and loves the feeling that runs through her in moments like this. It's a rush unlike anything else, but knowing she's basically sending someone off into a hazard zone feels so off and wrong. He can call it being a distraction all he wants, but Becks knows what it really is-- he's the bait. He's the one that risks more consequence if something goes wrong, here.
But she isn't thinking about all of that now. All she's focused on is getting to that room and finding her weapons. She's cut off by another guard that she hadn't noticed, and who she can only assume came from around the corner at the other end of the hall. She's barked at to stand back, and that the room is off-limits. A warning, that if she tries to get beyond him, she'll pay for it. Becks doesn't see another way out, so while he thinks she's relenting, taking a step back and then another, and his guard is down, she jumps into action and slams the guard's head into the nearest wall. The hit isn't hard enough to knock him out, she didn't have the leverage for that kind of power, but it's enough to disorient him and she manages to get his baton from him in those seconds.]
Minato! Abort! RUN! [It's all that she can yell, and she hopes it's enough. She darts toward the hall where they were supposed to meet up again.]

Thanks. The guards are changing shifts now and there should only be two at the door, so let's go.
[Now that they had batons, they could easily take down two guards. Then they just had to run through the doors to get out of the prison.]

She runs with her fellow escapee at her side until they come to the door. It's an altercation of swift resolution with the two guards, caught unprepared for the attack from their prisoners.]

Guards down, Minato nodded over to her. It was time to get out. They did end up in some kind of tunnel with windows outside, overlooking the desert.]
Let's keep going. There has to be more.
[And it was long way to wherever they were going, but they had to leave. The alarms would go off soon enough and more guards would come after them.]

[The confidence in her words will hopefully carry them through the rest of the escape mission, until they reach their long-drawn destination in the distance. They'll regroup there, and figure out the next step in the plan.]

Sometimes he did look behind them just to make sure no one was following them. So far, so good.]
If you need to go back and look for anyone later, then I can help.
[Even though it would be extremely risky to go waltzing back into the prison when they were like Public Enemy Number One, but if she had friends to get out, then he would take that risk.]
no subject
[Because it really would be a giant risk. The sort she'd only take if it became absolutely necessary.
But for now, all she could focus on was Minato and herself, and reaching that safe haven in the distance. She'll settle once they're there and regroup, think things through more when she has time to assess everything.]
no subject
Just find me. I may go back because I have a friend there too.
[And working as a team like before would be better. He just didn't want to get her in trouble.
He did see that the tunnel did lead to another... door? But it looked like it was going to go outside. And outside didn't look all that great.]
If you're ready, then let's go. Don't breathe in that red stuff.
