gloria domini. [ Thread; Incomplete ]
Who: Heather/Cheryl Mason (
onceagod) and Harry Mason (
picksupstrays)
Where Kitchen
When: Afternoon
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Heather meets her dad, in a different sense.
the Story:
The phrase 'what the hell' was going through the young teenager's mind at the moment.
Why? Because this would be a different Harry-- a different Harry that hasn't taken in the reborn child of a god's mother yet.
Heather wasn't so sure on why, either. She was nervous, which she really shouldn't feel because all she was going to do was meet her father. The man that decided to raise her without knowing how she was born, nor what she really was. MOst especially after the certain incident that had to deal with giving birth to a god, death, and herself(literally).
.. Maybe this shouldn't be any different, correct?
And so she drank her can of soda, waiting for the father that never really remembered her.

When he wished that Cheryl would be here, this isn't at all what he expected.
But he knows he won't be judgmental, either. He can't be.
Still mostly recovering from a hangover -- try as he might to reorganize himself before going to meet his daughter (or rather one of them) -- he knows he has to go to the kitchen anyway for water.
Eventually, the door opens, and he pauses.
He sees a blonde, but he can make the connection. All it takes are the physical features.
Still...
"Your hair isn't right," Harry blurts out first, before he can quite stop himself.

"I colored it blonde," was her reply before putting the aluminum can of soda down on the nearby counter, "Besides, you thought it was funny before." added the teenager, just replying with something she remembered long ago.
Well, this was awkward.
"You look younger, but that's kinda obvious."

Even though she's about ten years off.
"I think I can get used to the blonde hair. You look fine with it."
Harry offers a smile, almost a bit timidly before he goes to get a glass of water.
"Anyway. I'd talk, but I don't think I have much worth mentioning that you don't know already. So I guess I'll play catch up with you instead."

Ah, he still seemed the same. A look of concern she always recieveed whenever she went home really, really late, kind eyes, a casual outlook; it was Harry Mason alright, and not just by name.
Even though it was really strange to be meeting each other for the first time.
"So, where do you want me to start?" she asked, wondering if she should start from the beginning where she was picked up, or the end on how she was supposedly the woman to bring salvation to the cult.

Right. He had just... pushed away Lisa, killed Cybil -- he did manage to save Kaufmann, but he didn't seem to be overwhelmed much with being grateful.
"Alessa... is here. Whole now. I hate to phrase it this way, but what does that make you, exactly? You're my daughter either way, but."
The whole thing? Still confusing. He sits beside Cheryl and settles to drink his water -- and try to clear this headache.
