[open] First rule of Human club is that we talk a lot about human club, actually.

Who: Armin Birdlert and you
Where: Various locations
When: 8/3 - 8/6
Rating: PG
Summary: It isn't anime bird school without a club and a debate.
The Story:

[a. human club]

[Like any fine school, St Pigeonations offers various clubs for young birds to spend their time and broaden their horizons. There is the chess club for those who enjoy an intellectual pursuit; there is the soccer club for those of a more athletic persuasion; there is probably a cooking club for those who enjoy baking some magpies.

But there is also another club.

Well, technically it is not a club. It is not exactly official or anything. But it exists.

In a dusty, disused classroom, primarily used to store broken furniture, there is a club. Or again, not really a club but more like a gathering. A gathering of like-minded birds. A place where birds of a feather can flock together, so to speak.

(Well, again not much of a gathering right now, as there is only one member of this not-exactly-a-club, but it could take off. Just watch.)

So, in this dusty old classroom, there is a house sparrow, a second year by the name of Armin Arlert. And on the door, there is a sign. It's handcrafted (aka, handwritten on a piece of printer paper) but in big letters it says:

Human Club]

[b. debate]

[It could happen to you anywhere. It might be during an English class. It might have been a wrong comment during a history class. There might not even be a class. Maybe it's out on the campus. Or in the library. In any case, and in some way, you ended up in a debate with a small house sparrow. Maybe you were playing devil's advocate. Maybe it's just an assignment. Maybe you really are a hawkist. In any case, despite his rather diminutive size and unimpressive physical appearance, Armin Arlert has a stubborn look about him, a very stubborn look and no intentions of changing his Dove party point of view.]

[Or if you'd like something else, feel free to toss up a prompt. I can also be found on Discord (Dees#2550) or plurk (Mosasaurus) or here on the plotting meme to plot something up.]

[Sunburst is only really here because someone in the faculty has to keep an eye on things. He remains perched at a desk, reading his book, occasionally looking up to make sure the kids aren't doing anything too troublesome. Of course, he likes humans just fine. They're just...well. Not doing so hot.

Still, he has a little pile of books on the subject stacked next to him.
]

I brought those books you wanted. The uh- human ones. Not that I'm going to complain that you're interested in history or anything. I'll take it.

[Sunburst would very much agree with that thought. He;s never been great at moving forward, but one thing he knows for sure is if they ignore their history, they're just doomed to repeat it. ]

Well, the school curriculum doesn't cover them a lot these days. Not much call for them. Some of these [he pats the book pile with an affectionate wing] are from my personal collection.

I think some birds would rather just sweep it all under the rug, honestly. After all, relations between our species, before we gained out intellect wasn't always so kind. Some birds would like to pretend that never happened.

I couldn't agree more young man. It's the only hope for the future- learning from our mistakes and trying to make something better. It's just a shame the masses don't tend to agree.

Perhaps it's just a case of finding the right birds to talk to.
