Open][ Eventually we all have to grow up... supposedly
Who:Seth and you
Where: Various locations.
When: Second week of August 7th- 12th
Rating: PG-13. Changed if more
Summary: Some people never learned how to deal with emotions
The Story:
If there's anything that Seth realizes he hates more than zombies and fucking culebra? It's walking up to remember shit that he doesn't remember doing, since technically it was him and it wasn't him. Absolute rock bottom in his mind?
Finding himself as some kind of damn bird and attending school of all damn things. There's nothing he can do when the events have him out of his mind, and nothing he could fight back against, and he's quickly learning that is worse than any manner of monster that can exist in Wonderland. As part of the kidnapped or an event.
So he's definitely feeling out of sorts, and unlike himself, and he's handling things the best way he knows how.
There's alcohol involved and sometimes blowing shit up. If he can find a fight? It would be the trifecta in what he's dealing with.
Or more importantly, how he's not dealing.
Drinking
Maybe it's a good thing but not all the drinking is done with a bottle, a tumbler, and drinking alone. So he's hanging out the bar, avoiding Lux a bit just so he doesn't embarrass Chloe as he is want to do. He's trying to limit himself but keep a low, angry buzz is likely no better than heavily drinking until he passes out, but at least that is what he's working on.
Blowing shit up
Sometimes he's on the beach. Sometimes in the hedge maze. There's times when he heads out to the cave. Hanging out around there? Likelihood is, Seth is either blowing things up or is setting up with some serious firepower to do just that.
Once or twice he might be set up just above the waterline on the beach, still in a suit and tie, laid out in the sand with what is fashioned after a SAW .50 cal machine gun in front of him. He's focusing on the horizon, as they can see it, firing towards it over the water. He's been careful not to put the boats in the line of fire, mostly pretending that it's seeing what might happen but it's really just enjoying the sound and the smell of gunpowder.
It is both traumatic and comforting, and he's indulging in what he can to help him cope with this.
Hangovers are fun
A couple of days, or closer to afternoons, that week Seth can be found in the kitchen cooking up a fried food bounty of eggs, bacon, sausage and hashbrowns. He's not the best cook in the world, but he isn't entirely incompetent - when it comes to cooking, at least. He's bleary eyed and looks like he hasn't saved in a couple of days, but that damn suit is still in place looking much better than he does. Of course, when the top button happens to be undone, there's an odd pendant around his neck that is new, and he's often toying with the leather and metal, vervain filled bracelet that lays beneath his cuff.

Either that or he doesn't care if he pays for it eventually. Clementine is always thinking, always trying to survive. ...for the most part. The game was a lapse of judgement for her. She never should have volunteered to start with.
"...yeah, I am too. It'd help if there was some way to deal with it after. I don't know how though. Maybe just remembering who I actually am."
That's sometimes really difficult though.

And that is a huge part of what he wants to know. Where the limits are, because he suspects that will tell them something.
"And yeah, this is part of that as well. Needing to just do things that seem familiar. What is it that helps you?"
no subject
It was always survival first especially after she lost AJ. She didn't even always know why. It was acting without understanding. She didn't have to understand or think or anything. Just keep moving, never stop moving or she wouldn't get up.
She pauses, glancing back at him, shaking her head. "I don't know. Back home, I don't have to think about anything. There's never time to, but here there's a lot of time."
no subject
"You trying to think about it and work it out, or would you rather find ways to keep busy and ignore what your brain is saying?" He's been in both positions and Seth gets it. There's a need and a time for both, after all.
no subject
She's died here once before, but yeah, if he keeps poking the bear, he might die all five times and then what? Her shoulders tense. She shakes her head.
"I don't think I usually know how to work any of it out. So I try to keep busy."
no subject
"I know I can, Clementine. I do. I was there when Richie died in our world. I... I had to..." He sighs, never having said this to anyone. "I had to kill Chloe when we were in that zombie town. She got bit and she was worried about hurting me and Lucifer and so..." He shakes his head, lips pressing tight. "I just make bad choices when I make jokes. I'm sorry."
Again, things he doesn't say much. "I will do my best not to die. Promise."
no subject
He gets it.
"It's okay. Sometimes people have to joke about shit to get by. I get it, but if you are out there poking Wonderland, it just might poke back. And it's got a way bigger finger."
So y'know. "Be careful."
no subject
"I will. If nothing else, for you and Maggie, I will," he vows, and much as Seth has lied in his life. He knows in giving his word then, he means it.
no subject
That's all that she cares about. They're all in enough danger without recklessly poking the dragon even if she gets the impulse to do so, and she doesn't want to see him hurt or worse. So the promise, it helps. There's a pause though as she lifts her eyebrows. "...Maggie?"
Is that the same Maggie that she knows?
no subject
"Maggie as in dark haired, beautiful, cooks for everyone Maggie? We're... we're seeing one another," he admits, rolling his eyes at himself. "I sound like I'm in fucking high school but we're dating. How do people say that without sounding like they're twelve?"
Or that he's never said it really and it seems weird.
no subject
She smirks at him then and raises an eyebrow since she doesn't... really know.
"...so you li-i-i-ike her? And she likes you too."
Now she's teasing in her own Clementine way.
