Food and Fun - OPEN Gathering!
Who: Everyone!
Where: Outside on the grounds, near the gardens
When: Saturday, August 11th
Rating: G! If you take it to an extreme sexy or extreme sad place, please warn in the subject line!
Summary: Liv and Papyrus host Wonderland's Inagural Inter-planetary Fod Festival!
The Story:

The stage has been set for everyone to have food from all over time and space, and Liv is possibly a little more excited about this than she should be. Her message with Papyrus didn't seem to drum up a ton of interest when they made their announcement, but she's hoping like hell this actually goes somewhere.
There's a table with Sharpie pens and little cards to write the name of the dish, main ingredients, and where it came from (plus the bringer's dish if they want) and three huge coolers filled with ice and various drinks like bottled water, juice boxes, soda, and beer for the adults (that one's labeled on top). Cutlury, napkins, and cups are taken care of! There's also music playing, the equivalent to what might as well be a random Pandora station not set on one specific genre of music. It easily goes from an Adele song to the Spice Girls and back around to something by Adam Lavine.
All that's really left, is for Liv to sit back and enjoy the day.
[ OOC: This is, obviously, a gathering post! Please top level, tag around, and have fun! ]

he holds out the unopened beer to her that he'd grabbed from the cooler before he'd made his way back here. little something to wash it down, maybe? ]
I got much better ways of letting people know if I don't like 'em than feeding 'em a roast. [ he offers his free hand ] Jesse Custer.

[ She gladly takes his hand, and then the drink because, good Lord, she needs something to wash that atrocity down with. ]
You're one of the new ones, right?

[ he's just consumed some pretty questionable things over the years. it helps the whole thing that this is something tulip used to make.
he shoves the piece of meat in his mouth then shakes his head ] Far as I can tell, it's just me here.
no subject
[ She shrugs a little, as if apologizing for not really being able to offer him much of an answer to any of his questions. ]
I was the only one when I got here, too, but my boyfriend showed up about a month later. You might not be alone for long.

Guess someone's gotta be the first, right? Honestly, I'm a little torn about whether I'd wanna see Tulip here, or if I'd prefer she just stay where she is. Though at least if she was here, well, then we'd both be here. [ and he'd know she's okay. that's the important part. he shakes his head ] Don't matter what I want though since none of us got any say in any of this shit.
no subject
That's the worst of it. I'm torn about whether or not I'd want some people from home... Barbie certainly would, but he has his heart set on finding a way for us to stay here indefinitely. I'm not as optimistic. [ His determination to keep them both safe and away from the perils of home is endearing, but it frustrates Julia sometimes because it's not at all realistic. ] Is Tulip your... wife? Girlfriend?
no subject
Well if that's what he wants, and it's what you want, good luck figuring out how to make that happen, I guess. If he manages to figure out how to stay, maybe that means the rest of us could figure out how to go. [ doesn't seem likely though. not by the way he's been hearing it ] Tulip? She's my girlfriend.
no subject
I totally understand why you'd be torn about her coming here. It's a catch-22, huh? We don't want to be away from the people we love, but I'm not sure we want to subject them to this, either.
no subject
Yeah, that's the problem. [ part of it, at least ] And not knowing exactly what this place is capable of. Not that I don't think Tulip couldn't handle herself here or anything. She's the most capable woman I've ever met. But it just doesn't feel right wanting to see her end up here just because I'm here.
no subject
[ Julia's a capable woman herself, and can take on a lot more than it looks like she can. Plenty has happened in Wonderland to show her what she's capable of, whether she likes it or not. ]
There's nothing wrong with wishing for it, though, since we don't have any control over it, anyway. Even if she does end up here, you'll never have to feel guilty as if it was somehow you're fault. And in my case, at least with Barbie? I know he's better off here and I don't have any guilt over being selfish for that.
