Summary: Liv and Papyrus host Wonderland's Inagural Inter-planetary Fod Festival!
The Story:

The stage has been set for everyone to have food from all over time and space, and Liv is possibly a little more excited about this than she should be. Her message with Papyrus didn't seem to drum up a ton of interest when they made their announcement, but she's hoping like hell this actually goes somewhere.

There's a table with Sharpie pens and little cards to write the name of the dish, main ingredients, and where it came from (plus the bringer's dish if they want) and three huge coolers filled with ice and various drinks like bottled water, juice boxes, soda, and beer for the adults (that one's labeled on top). Cutlury, napkins, and cups are taken care of! There's also music playing, the equivalent to what might as well be a random Pandora station not set on one specific genre of music. It easily goes from an Adele song to the Spice Girls and back around to something by Adam Lavine.

All that's really left, is for Liv to sit back and enjoy the day.

Liv definitely wants a piece of this action, and she takes a breakfast taco, not even hesitating before taking a huge bite. Then, she reads the card closer and after she swallows, can't help but smile to herself. That's what this was all about; meeting people, connecting - this is her favorite explanation ever. When she sees someone hovering close, she assumes he's the one that set this all up.

"Was this you? Because I could get behind this." Other than needing some hot sauce for her specific palette, it's perfect.

Glancing up, Barbie grins and gives her a nod. "I did, and it's an experiment. Leslie was touting breakfast foods as the only needed food, and I couldn't let tacos die like that," he says with a laugh.

"They came out pretty good though. Thankfully you guys can't see all the waffles I screwed up trying to make them taco shape."

"Hey, there's no judging of food here. I'm just super glad that people turned up and brought food. I was worried it'd be a lot of people showing up to eat and no one actually bringing anything."

She takes another bite, looking around as she chews and swallows. "Maybe we could even make this a sort of annual thing."

He pauses, looking at her, and then smiles. "Oh, you're one of the ones that set this up, aren't you? Well done then, and glad you did. I definitely think it's something we need around here," he says, thinking about how hard this place can be, even just in his short time there.

"I think that's a great idea, and really hope I'm here for the second annual event." If only he and Julia could stay. It's all he wants.

"Yep. Out of sheer curiosity about what food was like from other places, but so far everything is very Earth-forward." Which is fine, she's still had a lot of things she never did before.

"Hey, I've been here a year and counting, so I'm not holding my breath on going home soon. Although in a year, who knows who'll be here, we could have some crazier dishes eventually."

Barbie pauses then, considering that. "You know I hadn't thought that it might be an option. Though how many worlds not like what we know might still be Earth like? Which I realize doesn't even actually make sense when I say it outloud," he admits with a chuckle.

"Maybe encourage that, instead of some cooking to impress. Which I admit, I totally did."

"No, it does make sense. My roommate's world is totally Earth, she lives in New York, there's a Seattle, she works for the FBI and is one of the best hackers in the world. And yet? No zombies. She'd know, she'd totally know, and she's further ahead than I am. So it makes sense - there are Earthlike worlds out there, a ton of them, probably."

Unless she didn't even understand him at all.

"And best I can tell of my world, the Dome is wold news... yet no one here but Julia has heard of it. So many of them seem to relate to the same Earth we know but tweaks. I guess like they talk about. Parallel time lines and all."

Which he's thought about, though not sure how to think of it with everyone else. What makes more sense? Or does none of it make sense in the long run? He knows thinking about it too often, too much, can make them nuts and he's trying to avoid that here as much as he tried in Chester's Mill.

"So it just makes sense that most of us are just running parallel timelines to Earth, which means our foods will be about the same, I guess. I'm just glad for more food," he says with a chuckle.

"You know, someone else told me once it doesn't matter what any of us think about this place or what we feel like we've figured out. We'll never remember it when we leave. All of our efforts to find out things and know things will be for nothing, so might as well focus on the good stuff and just deal with the bad things."

So she'd tried to do something nice for everyone to help with those good things.

"We can leave what we learn for the next people that find themselves trapped here," he points out. "If nothing else, it would help them even if we can't use it back in our own worlds."

Which leave it to Barbie to want to find a way to help future unnamed people that might be trapped.

"Hey, that's true. And honestly...not a bad idea. Although, anything we claim as ours disappears when we do. So if you did anything like that, it would have to be public domain and not care who saw it."

"Could make it a library book. Then it would stay here. Or a wall of one of the tea houses or something."

He hasn't put thought into this before, but now he is.

"I'd totally be willing to help you with that. I mean, if you wanted. If you even really want to take this kind of project on," Liv adds.

"Oh definitely. I get a feeling we're all learning different things, between the types of worlds we come from and what we encounter here. Maybe putting it all down may give a clue to someone eventually."

And he hopes he's here to see it, though really he just wants to still be there. Just so long as Julia is as well.

"Never know. And maybe it doesn't help for this round of people but who knows. Five, ten years from now, enough pieces of the puzzle could come together."

They might as well try.
