Food and Fun - OPEN Gathering!

Summary: Liv and Papyrus host Wonderland's Inagural Inter-planetary Fod Festival!
The Story:



The stage has been set for everyone to have food from all over time and space, and Liv is possibly a little more excited about this than she should be. Her message with Papyrus didn't seem to drum up a ton of interest when they made their announcement, but she's hoping like hell this actually goes somewhere.

There's a table with Sharpie pens and little cards to write the name of the dish, main ingredients, and where it came from (plus the bringer's dish if they want) and three huge coolers filled with ice and various drinks like bottled water, juice boxes, soda, and beer for the adults (that one's labeled on top). Cutlury, napkins, and cups are taken care of! There's also music playing, the equivalent to what might as well be a random Pandora station not set on one specific genre of music. It easily goes from an Adele song to the Spice Girls and back around to something by Adam Lavine.

All that's really left, is for Liv to sit back and enjoy the day.

Misty had been nervous about attending this event, though so far it has been going rather well. The people seem nice enough, even if she's uncertain about a few. It lets her check things out though, without finding herself in those long hallways of the prison house.

Glancing up though, she offers a bit of a smile and a nod. "Afternoon there. What can I help you with?"

"Are you by any chance the one who made this?" He gestures at the bowl of Jamabayla. He'd name the dish, but honestly, he's not sure if he could pronounce it the correct way. Better to wait and see if she'll mention it by name first so he has a vague idea of how it should be pronounced. He just doesn't want to embarrass himself if he can help it. "I was just wondering about the ingredients. Do they really all have specific characteristics? Or is it more of a superstition?"

"I am at that. It's one of my momma's recipes, though anyone you ever talk to in the swamp will have their very own recipe for jambalaya," she notes, amused by that and how life is in Louisiana. "As for the listing there, that's just some of what I put in it and the reasons why. Personally I think it's a bit of both, unless, of course, you then enchant the entire dish with a it of swamp magic," she admits.

"It's not something I always do but I figured it's something we could use here. Protection and positivity can help everyone with what I've been warned about."
