Summary: A while back, Josuke went home for a canon update and didn't really tell anybody what that entailed. He's finally fixing that.
The Story:

[When Jolyne's event came around, he'd promised her he'd tell her what happened at home in Morioh when Wonderland sent him back. It wasn't that he didn't want to tell her when it happened, it's just... How do you explain Kira to someone? The entire thing was absolutely insane and honestly? It scared him.

Enough time has passed that he could probably be forgiven for forgetting he made that promise, but he hasn't. So, around noon on the 18th, he knocks on Jolyne's door and waits.]

[As usual, Jolyne opens the door, sees Josuke, is already about to say something dumb, but then realizes this is probably time to talk about the crazy murderer, so she doesn't.]

I don't know what the fuck the etiqutte is for this, was I supposed to bring drinks or snacks or something? Are we doing this here to or is there somewhere you're supposed to go to talk about these things?

[Okay that was kind of shitty, but she really has no idea how this works. When she skimmed Jotaro's disc, it looks like they talked about DIO at a cafe or something, but that's weird. “Yeah, we'll take a few coffees while we discuss the asshole who's ruined our family like some sort of Castlevania villan.” She can't really see herself doing that.]

We were standing in the street when Jotaro told me who he was, so I dunno if there's a right way to do any of this.

[Granted, things didn't take a turn for the worse until after that but the point stands.]

I guess we just do it here? Unless you want to go somewhere.

[uncoils]

[Just the longest sigh.]

Yeah that sounds like how Dad would handle things. All right come in.

[Jolyne's room is about the same as it ever is. She'll wave her hand over at the small table and chairs she has set up. She doesn't have people in here too often, but she figured early on it was a good thing to have in case of company.]

[He frowns, because he's remembering the part where Jotaro told him about Jolyne.

Oh. Wait.

He closes the door behind him, and takes a seat at the table. This is weird, and awkward and he doesn't really know how to proceed. Rubbing the back of his head, he clears his throat.]

Uh. I guess. What do you wanna know?

[uncoils]

Name and what he looks like, for starters. His Stand too, if he's got..no, he's definitely got one.

[She just grumbles a little taking a seat because of course it's a fucking Stand user.]

Kira Yoshikage, and his Stand is named Killer Queen. But it's... complicated. Really complicated.

[BECAUSE OF COURSE IT IS.]

[uncoils]

[She's getting a pen and paper to write the name and Stand down so she doesn't forget.]

What's complicated? His Stand? You didn't say what he looks either. Is he like Pucci and just hides behind shit while you see his Stand?

All of it. There was a Stand user in Morioh who could change peoples' appearance. So if he shows up here, he could have his real face, or the one he forced her to give him.

[I'm not writing out a description of both faces, so pretend he did that here.]

[Despite making jokes about it, she is incredibly creeped out by this whole thing.]

All right, so watch out for the blonde and the guy with bad highlights. What else? What's his Stand do? What does he look for when he's looking for hands?

Sorta, yeah.

[Why did you make him think of that.]

He only goes after women. [He frowns.] His Stand... It can do a couple things? It can turn anything it touches into a bomb, which he can detonate whenever he wants. And it can put out this... homing bomb? It goes for the warmest target in range.

[His frown intensifies.]

[Because she has lots of time on her hands and has yet to run through the library's selection of VHS tapes.]

So don't let him touch you, but also watch out for some heat seeking missile bullshit? And he's got different fucking faces. Sounds like you had your hands full with this guy.

Look, I'm sorry, sometimes my mouth says shit before my brain tells me to stop. Feel free to make shitty jokes about the asshole I have to deal with if it makes you feel better.

There's one other thing his Stand can do. I don't know if it would work in Wonderland, but it's pretty bad.

[She's not going to ask how bad could it be because holy shit every enemy stand is bad.]

It's kinda hard to explain?

[And the only explanation he got was from Hayato, who didn't really know about Stands in the first place.]

Under the right circumstances, he can turn back time an hour?

[uncoils]

Hold up, wait holy shit. So you're saying he could show up here, we could corner him, knock the shit out of him and he could go back in time? So he could avoid getting the ass kicking he deserves?

[hairdont]

.... Yeah. It doesn't seem like he can use it on Stand users? Since that's just us in Wonderland...

[He trails off because it's not good.]

[uncoils]

[It's fine, she can follow along.]

...so the fucker could use it on everyone else.

[Distractedly, he reaches into his pocket and pulls out his comb so he can touch up his hair.]

...I think we got lucky when we stopped him.

[uncoils]

[She'd comment about how that's a weird thing to do in the middle of a conversation, but she doesn't want her room destroyed.]

Shit, hopefully your luck carries over here.

[hairdont]

[A small, unnoticeable shudder runs through him.]

We only stopped him 'cause an ambulance backed over his head.

[uncoils]

Jesus christ.

[She's not sure what else to say to that.]

From what you said it's good the fucker's dead, but...

[But that's really fucking horrific.]

Pretty sure we got actual proof he went straight to hell, at least.

[Josuke is unnaturally quiet for a few minutes.]

No, it wasn't a Stand.

[Reimi is still something of a sore spot. Not because it's hard to talk about, but because she deserved better than she got. She deserved to not have her life cut short by Kira, to not spend years trapped in Morioh waiting for someone to finally see her.

To finally give her peace.]

One of his victims, a girl named Sugimoto Reimi, spent years trapped in Morioh as a spirit. When he was finally stopped, she watched him be dragged away by the other spirits in the alley she was trapped in.

[uncoils]

[She's quiet for a while, things like ghosts are real in their world and can drag people to hell is a lot to take in, but...]

I'm glad you guys were able to help her.

[Despite her being worried about Kira showing up, that's the part Jolyne feels is the most important. Not that this guy's fucked up death or his bullshit abilities, but even though she's never met Reimi, she's happy Josuke and the others were able to help her (and his other victims) get justice. It's one of those things Jolyne hopes she'll be able to do for her friends someday.]

[Ultimately, that was the important thing for Josuke too. Ideally, Kira would've stood trial for his crimes but they weren't going to get out of this without him dying. Not with what Killer Queen could do.]

... Yeah. There are a lot of people who won't ever know the truth, [Like Shigechi's parents and Kosaku's wife...] but he can't hurt anybody else.

[uncoils]

And even if they knew, it's not like they'd get it or understand it. So trying to do so might just make it worse.

[She kind of gets that a hell of a lot better now than she would've when Stone Ocean started.]

Yeah. I just... I just wish I could do more, y'know?

[Josuke you did almost literally everything you could.]

[She knows him too well to think he did anything less.]
