this isn't the end my dear | open
Who: Henry Mills + YOU
Where: Movie Theater, around the grounds, various places.
When: October 24 - end of month
Rating: PG-PG-13 maybe
Summary: Henry's final open post! A tv show marathon for Dipper, a scary movie marathon leading up to Halloween, and some other random things.
Notes: Will match bracket or prose! If you'd like an individual starter, hmu on plurk @propernice
The Story:
[ Leading up to Halloween, Henry decides to take Dipper up on hosting a marathon of Ghost Harrasses, both because it sounds incredible, and because people can come and go as they please and it's more casual. The breaks can be more frequent in between episodes and it's not so much scary as it is fun to watch. There are ghost shaped sugar cookies for everyone to enjoy and beanbag chairs spread out for casual viewing. He's also super into it - it's so ridiculous that he loves it. Best 'reality' show ever. ]
[ Henry can be found a lot of the time hanging out at his wife's cafe. Sometimes he's behind the counter and sometimes he's at a table, but he always looks open for conversation. If he's sitting, he looks up from whatever he's reading with a friendly smile, and if he's behind the counter it's a smile as he asks what he can get for you. Some days you can catch him reading Folklores and Fairy Tales - stories from around the world, and also writing notes. The sharp-eyed may see that he's even made a few rough sketches. ]
[ A lot of his time is spent in the diner, at least once a day really, and he typically has a burger, fries, and a milkshake. Sometimes he gets a grilled cheese in honor of Emma. There are days he has his book with him but this one has blank pages at the end, and he's using a specific pen to write with. The words seem to flow effortlessly from pen to paper as if by...magic. Still, he sits in a booth with plenty of space across from him and when he's not in the writing zone, he's once again looking up with that welcoming smile. ]
[ Minus the days of the event, every night for the rest of the month Henry shows a scary movie but not really scary. The first night is Hocus Pocus and some others are:
The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Addams Family
Ghostbusters
Beetlejuice
Gremlins
On Halloween night, with a warning that the movies are scarier in honor of the actual holiday, he shows the Polgergiest movies. There is all the standard movie theater fare to eat and it's decorated just before you walk into the theater proper with orange and white Halloween lights, carved pumpkins, scarecrows sitting on hay, and a bowl of candy with a hand inside that pops up every time you reach in to grab a piece.
All in all, he's proud of what he's done, that he's figured out different ways to take care of people in Wonderland, to take care of his family, and make the people who care about him proud. ]

Movie Theater: Redux

Halloweenie movies. Post event
Luckily for everyone else, Kokichi's more in the mood to shut up and watch the movie after the event's over and everyone's come back to their senses. He's just chilling out in the front row, where he normally sits, munching on popcorn and taking in the majesty that is Gremlins.
Seriously, he's somehow relating to the horrible monsters wrecking the bar onscreen and he doesn't know how to feel.
He does take a moment to quietly nudge whoever's next to him and whisper something.]
Psst. Hey. Does this movie have a sequel?
no subject
Yeah, like, three, I think.
no subject
Cool. Are we gonna marathon them?
no subject
no subject
[Guess he has to wait. Sigh.
...]
So, uh... Did you think you decided to live in the woods or something? Because event you skipped a couple days this week.
diner;
What are you working on today?
no subject
I figured we should have a record of our story here. We've lived entire lives in this mansion, and I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't record all of it, right?
no subject
[She's not kidding. At all. If she sees mention of that time she had a song battle with Pan, she'll set that pen on fire and scatter the ashes to the wind.]
How's it going?
no subject
[ Actually, lol false, there were so many tears that one time Neal had to sing to him and Henry would actually rather forget it. ]
It's actually going pretty well! I mean, I'm not surprised that it is or anything, but it's like the words come easier now than they ever did.
no subject
That makes sense. You know what you're meant to be doing now.
no subject
[ Poof him, it'd be hilarious. ]
no subject
Until it needs to be updated.
no subject
[ For now though, he puts it aside to focus on her. ]
What brings you to the diner? It definitely isn't your normal hang out spot.
no subject
[Regina. Regina did.]
How are you doing, Henry? Now that you've been through verything... You must miss Lucy.
no subject
I miss her like crazy. Having Ella here helps, a lot. But after not even knowing who Lucy was for so long, it feels like there's so much time to make up for. I know she doesn't even realize I'm not actually there but it still isn't easy. Now I know how you felt the times I wasn't in Wonderland.
no subject
I've been lucky. For the most part, you were only ever gone for a week at a time. [She reaches out to cover his hand with hers.] But it was hard, and it doesn't get any easier. I wish I could tell you it does.
movie theater redux
Whoa. I think this is the first thing that we have in my world that almost everyone else also have. Look at all that Sanderson Sister Support. [She gestures to the wide-eyed collection of... people nostalgic for the 90's probably.]
no subject
[ Because that same Disney rule applies to him, too. ]
I gotta say, a part of me waits every Halloween for my world's version of these sisters to show up in Storybrooke.
no subject
[A pause.] Also that means Binx might be real too, and there's something about a cute guy who's sometimes a cat that's just wowza.
no subject
In my experience people who can change from a cat to a human at will have some pretty interesting magic up their sleeves. I mean, Regina can, and she's good. Dunno about the other people I've seen shape shift, though.
[ Lookin' at you, Cora. ]
no subject
You gotta use that power for good, man.
no subject
[ She has his full attention and he knows, for sure, he's about to be surprised. Mabel has a way of doing that. ]
no subject
no subject
That is somehow what I expected, and a total surprise at the same time.
no subject
GHOST HARASSERS!!
Did you know if you play this scene backwards and slowed down and watch through an infrared filter, there's a secret code?
no subject
Dude. How long did it take you to figure that out? Because that you even know this is impressive.
no subject
[Weird.]
