Summary: This year's Ewaymas celebration rolls out the way it usually does, with intense decorating, a sudden snowfall and...far more arrivals than usual! New faces and old fill the mansion - but why would Wonderland bring so many people at once? And why do some of them remember Wonderland?
The Story:

On the evening before December 12th, the captives of Wonderland might be awoken by a loud commotion. Some of it is typical Ewaymas noise, likely familiar to anyone who has been in Wonderland for more than a year – construction sounds and jingle bells as Wonderland decks its own halls quite literally. Garland and lights race down the walls and down the stairs, and stockings appear on the walls for each and every person in Wonderland, embroidered with their names. There are decorative candles everywhere, and all sorts of decorations for every conceivable winter holiday, even if it does not align perfectly to the dates of Ewaymas. Time isn't real, so there will be menorahs and dreidels and Star of Davids even though Hanukkah ended two days prior. And of course, in the front hall, growing straight out of the floor, is a large decorated tree full of ornaments for everyone. And as always, it will have snowed heavily overnight, bringing all of the snow Wonderland will have between now and spring.

There is a second source of commotion in the night though – the sound of a crowd.

Over the course of the night, dozens of new arrivals will appear in Wonderland. Some for the first time. Some wondering how they managed to return with their memories. Others stumbling in with no recollection of ever having been here. Some might be friends from other timelines, other possibilities, and some might even be doubles of people who are already in Wonderland. It's strange for Wonderland to drag so many people into the mansion at once, but everything seems to indicate that they are supposed to be there. They have their own network devices and even have their own stockings on the wall and their own ornaments on the tree – by all accounts, it seems Wonderland expects that they'll be staying, and is treating them like any other new arrivals. Please, make them feel at home and help them settle in nicely.

The first few days will be for catching up with old friends and enjoying the decorations and settling into Wonderland. However, within a couple of days the decorations will start to glitch, much the way corrupted computer graphics might. Lights might change abruptly from multi-color to blue or white, entire décor styles will abruptly change, candle flames will flicker on and off like broken fluorescent lights, and any singing decorations might loop on a beat or two over and over putting you into an eternal hell. Wonderland doesn't seem to be able to stick to one motif, and it can't stop changing. These glitches are occurring on both the Real Side of Wonderland and the Mirror Side.

By the 15th, these glitches will include entire rooms changing into different holiday scenes. These scenes will all be of characters at various winter holidays in the past, the present (in their world), or a possible future. At this point in the event, characters will still be able to navigate the basic mansion and be able to exit these moments easily. These scenes cannot be interacted with – Wonderland seems to consider them another form of decorating. Unlike previous events of this type, these scenes will not loop at first. They will play once, and then Wonderland will glitch and correct itself to be the room it is supposed to be. The scene might play again, but it will be in a different location if it does.

By this point, Wonderland is having an increasingly difficult time holding itself together in a way that makes geographical sense. You might exit one room, even a room that was not previously playing a scene, and find yourself in the kitchen or on the roof instead of in the hallway. You might open a door that you were sure led to your room only to see a ten foot drop to the grounds outside.

[ Yeah, okay, here he is. The man himself, Mr. God Complex: Elijah Kamski. He's never been one to need gifts (not when he can just make them himself,) but what could be better than a holiday about giving? Well, lots of things, but Kamski's more surprised at being here at all. And since he can't just dismantle his fancy new network device, he may as well see what it does and exactly what network it's on.

...Well, okay, it's glitched. He can't... us it? What the fuck is this? ]

Not a problem. I can fix this.

[ He's committed now. It's going to happen. ]

dec 15: glitch central

[ Kamski thought he was going to the kitchen to grab a snack. He thought wrong, apparently, as he now finds himself in a large sitting room. The chairs and mantle and a rather warm-looking fireplace all glitch with Christmas decorations going blue and staticky. Well, isn't that a little concerning.

But y'know, one man's concerning is another man's interesting. Judging by the way Kamski reaches out to try and touch the burning yule log (bad idea!!!) Lucky for him, the flames flicker a mechanical blue as his hand goes through them. Geez, dude. ]

Fascinating.

[ Yep, it's time to go touch everything. Might want to look out, he might try to put his hand through your face next. ]

It's happening again this time with a little less implied everything like in the other TDM

[Someone close to him just snorts at the comment. Kamski is the last persona Hank expected to find in this world, but the fact he seems to be experiencing glitches as much as everyone else is some measure of comfort that Hank can briefly enjoy for all the suffering the man did in the span of just a few minutes when they met him.

Ahhh, schadenfreude.]

Good fucking luck.

Or...at least Hank assumes. Considering he can't even program his phone properly, he might not be the best judge on the matter.

Also it still doesn't leave Kamski off the hook for what happened back then. It might have been fourth months down the road now, but the memory is still fresh as yesterday.]

Considering the last time we saw each other, any idea of yours that constitutes as a 'learning experience' [Air quotes like it's 2008 included], I'd pass.

[ Markus knows of Kamski - every android does. Though, he may have heard his name a bit more thanks to Carl. After all, their friendship is why Markus even exists at all. Which brings certain questions to mind when he sees the Creator of Androids himself.

Why? Did he intend for deviancy to happen? Did he actually realize that eventually beings made to look, think, and feel like humans will become human eventually? Does he even care? Does it matter, in the end?

In the end, Markus clenches his fists and takes a few steps towards the man that might as well be their god. ]

[ There's a bit of bitterness in his voice. Just because there's been so much loss on his people's side. Their cause is true. It's just. It was needed. He just likes to think that maybe there was another way to achieve it.

A way that maybe Kamski should of been involved in. ]

I'm guessing then you didn't hear the news. Not surprising, given the media was more focused on everything else.

[ the RK series was his second favorite (after chloe of course.) He's all set to be smug when Markus actually answers his question, though.

[ There wasn't information programed into him about CyberLife or the dealings of Kamski. Just what he'd need in order to take care of a brilliant disabled artist.

And, apparently the ability to have free will. ]

It was peaceful. Despite everything else going on.

[ It bothers him. Very obviously. To the point where he looks away, and he is obviously thinking Dad. ]

[ Maybe she should've been prepared for this after all that nice!Connor had shared with her. And after spending some time perusing the network herself, she's learned there's no rhyme or reason for who Wonderland chooses. Because, of course.

This, though? Haha.

Kara had been trying to head outside, only to find herself standing inches from Kamski's hand once she enters the room. There's a sharp intake of breath and she's rooted to the spot. She stares at him--in awe or fear, it's not clear to her. Probably gives him all those god-complex feel goods he craves.

Her blood runs cold, as humans would say. She can't shake the sense that she's stepped into Zlatko's house a second time. ]

[ Oh, definitely helping that complex of his, thanks. Kamski knows an AX400 when he sees one.

And because he's a creep, he closes that gap and makes to stroke her cheek. She is his, after all. ]

Well, it's been a while since I saw a model like you.

[hadtolose]

[ One of her hands suddenly shoots up to grab his wrist and pull his hand away. Maybe it's disrespectful, but she's majorly over that whole being treated like a "model" business, even if it's coming from the man responsible for her existence.

In short, check yo self, God. ]

[ Nah, he's disrespectful, you're totally in the right here. Though Kamski seems to enjoy her reaction, but then he'd take anything as a win. He just loves watching his creations.

God's just here to have a good time and he's feeling so attacked right now? ]

Kara. Is that a name you chose for yourself?

[ Kara's frown has deepened, her hands balling into fists, a nervous tic she'd picked up recently. She knows she gave the only logical answer, and yet...it came out with a hint of uncertainty. His question seems weighted with a significance she can't grasp.

Alice flickers through her thoughts. ]

[ Kamski grins, raising his hands in mock-surrender. Hey, he's just checking for holograms, right? No ulterior motives here! ]

[Glancing over to the decorations.]

They're okay, but I'd rather be back in Detroit. Can't we just do this there...?

[Wow... To think that so many people from his world were actually here when he was here alone otherwise... It was all very..... interesting. Kamski was one person he didn't expect to meet again, but one whom he'd thought about while being here. If he made him and the others, he could possibly find a solution for Monika not having a body, but that was all moot now.

Monika was now gone and it was such a shame. If anyone could help her out, it was probably Kamski. Even so, he simply studied the man's actions before deciding to say something.]

You find interest in the strangest things....

[At least he's past the "when did you get here" stage, for how many people have come here.]

[ Ah, a Connor. Kamski does so like Connors. They're so... interesting. ]

Not knowing things is the first step to knowing everything. [ Kamski looks over at him, grinning smugly. ] Though I don't need to know everything, that's what you all are for.
