Now that her room is normal and less like a creepy movie bordello, Wendy is in high gear to get things started. Who cares she doesn't have a script, and who needs actors right? She has Kokichi, and Louis, and they have the closets! So many a day she can be found with her door open, the room looking like a log wilderness cabin, and things tossed about. Cameras, and the tracks for a rolling camera, and clapboards and costume pieces, and after about the third day, there's a Japenese duck hanging out in her room, often seen eating grapes and grain and picking at the items she's tossed about.
Surprisingly as well, Wendy can be found in the library many days. She's helped clear a wall, covered it with a tasteful Victorian gilded wallpaper, and started the memorial. There's a card with Frank's name on it, and a casing tied to it with a green ribbon, remembering the man that had helped her to learn so many new survival skills in his short time there.
Trapped as they are due to the weather, Wendy is fairly active. She makes regular trips to the stables, plays with whoever's dog she might find about, and starts a few trips into the caves - if only to look for the bear or gator. Come on, it would be cool. They might also be great places to film the movie. Just doing all she can to keep busy, and to not think about the weird playground world thing they had just been in.
Wendy's Room
"Wow. You really went all out on this. I'm impressed."

"Hey, when you don't have to pay for your blockbuster, of course I can go for all of it."
no subject
"That is true. You might as well go all out, while you can. It'll make it something extra magical."
He glances down.
"Oh shit, you even got a legit duck."
no subject
It flutters about at that, pecking at Louis' shoe.
"Isn't he cool?"
no subject
Story of his life. He crouches a little to coo at the duck. Honestly, a few months ago he would have considered the duck a damn good meal- but seen as Wonderland's made it so he doesn't actively hunt for his food, it just remains a fleeting thought.
"He is, indeed, pretty darn cool. He got a name?"
no subject
"And you are never a hindrance. This movie is all of ours. Isn't it a neat duck? I like the shape of them. And going with Mallary," she says, nearly pronouncing the D in Mallardy but not quite. "And I know it's a boy because coloring but I keep calling it she."
no subject
Hearing that he isn't a hindrance to her means a whole lot. His smile falters- just for a moment, genuine surprise crossing his features, brow creased softly. The slip of disguise lasts only a moment, his mega-watt smile sliding firmly back into place.
"Hell yeah, it is," he reaches out to pat a finger on the duck's head- how do you even pet a duck, he doesn't know. "Maybe on the inside, Mallary is a girl. Who are we to guess?"
no subject
And she does love that from it. Most useful.
The duck quacks at him, feathers ruffling. She grins at that. 'Exactly. And she will be part of our movie. One way or another."
no subject
It's a lie, but he tells it well. He knows exactly what it's like to have everything he could ever want at the moment he wanted it. It's because of that fact that's he's a little less prone to exploit the closets.
"Sweet. Mallary, you're gonna be a STAR. Don't let it get to your head, now. We don't wanna have to deal with a diva."
no subject
And that's another reminder in and of itself for her.
"Look at her. She's different. Already on the road to diva."
no subject
He's all for some normal fun. Being able to be as close to a 'normal' teenager here is one of the best things about this place. Right after the friends he's made here, of course.
"She truly is. Before you know it, she'll want her little duck baths to be in Evian and only to have the very best bread thrown to her. We'rd talking full seeded here."
no subject
She laughs though at that. "And that bird bath better be jewel encrusted," she says, glancing at the closet. "And if you think I won't encourage it, well..." She grins at him, thinking it might be cute. "I could redo the room," she says, looking around the cabin that looks like her home back in Gravity Falls. "Could stand to make it more me than home, maybe."
It's edging to closet to the age thing that she's ignored for two years, but eventually she has to face that. Even if in private.
