Summary: Alice has invited everyone, Reals and Mirrors alike, to come color outside in the nice spring weather with magic chalk. Surely nothing could go wrong with that plan, right?
The Story:

Outside, the weather is absolutely beautiful. It's not too hot, but not too cold either, and no one would have ever realized there was snow on the ground yesterday if they hadn't been here to see it. The grass is green and everything is dry - no sign of melted snow anywhere at all. Flowers have begun to bloom and it truly looks as though it's been spring for some time already. The season has changed abruptly and now Wonderland's decided it's time for it to be nice out.

There are many paths through the gardens, the vendors, and the hedge maze that can be drawn on, but as Alice demonstrated in her post, there's no need at all to stick to pavement only. Even the air can be decorated with living drawings!

This is a log for people who want to come color outside or people who want to check out what others are doing out here. It isn't strictly to interact with Alice, but she'll be around and will have a top level.

Ah, but if they're stupid enough, they might think they have good intentions when really they're as malicious as anyone else. What's this one a plague of?

[Dipper yelps and ducks out of the way, twisting to see what she's shooting.

Drippy, melty numbers.]

Wow, that's... that's so gross.

Mabel!

[Dipper can't stop laughing and wiggling as she tries to draw on him, which makes the mustache... weird.]

That's not blood, that's chalk!

[He sprays her again, which doesn't get rid of any chalk but does make her sweater wet.]

[And Stan, surprisingly, walks right by him and gestures for him to follow.]

Nope! I've got a better idea. And it doesn't involve any rulers whatsoever!

[His better idea evidently involves the orchard somehow, if the direction they're going is any indication.]

[ Michonne tilts her head to the side, arms crossing. ]

What do you think it is that some of the others don't trust?

[thesamurai]

[ Michonne presses her lips together in an effort to not laugh. ]

You uh. You goin' for a new look?

[thesamurai]

And you know the type, huh?

[ Michonne looks over at Regina, then just shakes her head a little. ]

I don't know what to think, but I can never tell if it's this place or if my gut is trying to tell me something.

Alice being involved, and Alice trusting that queen...I guess it should mean something, right? She's been here longer than any of us.

[ In all honesty, Michonne doesn't know what that would really mean. Maybe being here so long has warped Alice's view on things, who knows. ]

I just don't want to know. I guess that means I'm doing the avoiding. If they really are mirrors, whatever traits she has, I don't wanna know.

[ In truth, Michonne hasn't stopped to be very introspective about it, and she doesn't plan to start. ]

So you don't, like, remember any interesting stuff.

[Dipper looks so disappointed HOW CAN YOU DISAPPOINT THIS CHILD, LOUIS, YOU CRUEL MONSTER?]

[Dipper follows, glancing around worriedly.]

I'd rather not have crooked uneven legs again, you know. I already managed that one on my own.

[krmvgivv]

[Yeah, nothing about this is surprising. Shaun's like a grown-up, even more reckless Mabel.]

Oookay...

[He starts at the thumb up and traces Shaun's body carefully. As soon as he gets to the start of the line, he sits back.]

I have a spray bottle if this ends up getting weird.

[Ah. For Lapis, of course, that makes her think of their life back on Earth, and she finds herself glancing out at the scenery around them. Beneath the chaotic silliness of magic chalk shenanigans everywhere, Wonderland's version of spring has arrived, hasn't it?]

It is getting to be that time of year. [Lapis hasn't forgotten that they spoke before of trying farming, again-slash-for-the-first-time; a lot has happened since then, but what else is new.] It's too bad this stuff probably wouldn't work for a tractor either.

Well...

[She looks around at the chalk robots crowding around her as though she has to puzzle out the answer to that question on the spot.]

Do I...

Do I need a reason?

[She smiles, but it seems like more of a defensive mechanism than anything else.]

[eatsyourscience]

The latter.

[He continues drawing, filling the space immediately around himself with clumsy chalk butterflies.]

I mean...they're made of chalk.

"Right! They can hear us, but we can't hear them, so they have to write. That's how she and I made this plan."

It has yet to occur to her that she should be creeped out by the multitude of mirrors around her at any given moment. She glances at one now, though obviously, she's just looking through a hole between the two sides of the Mansion at the moment. The idea of being spied on either hasn't crossed her mind or doesn't bother her.

"Is yours bad?"

[eatsyourscience]

[The same thought occurs to him.]

I don't think Alice has bad intentions... But I also don't know if she really understands what she's doing some of the time.

[entreats]

Magical chalk.

[ Not that she's necessarily disagreeing. But she has to point it out. ]

I'd rather not have to rely on the effectiveness of water to determine whether or not I get mauled by a drawing.

[Cisco is kind of pleased as punch about this event; it's so rare that they are ever nice, simple things instead of something specifically designed with the intent to hurt or place them all in peril. The Mirrors being onside is a little unnerving, but he hopes that the freedom they're being allotted for however long this event lasts won't be too terribly misused.

For now? He's trying his best to assume no one is here to cause problems and just enjoying the spring-like weather and the magic chalk.

He's wandering when he finds a familiar face, smiling a bit, not instantly realizing it's her Mirror.]

Hey, Entrapta. [He gives a little wave.] I would've loved to find this chalk when I was a kid. [Who's he kidding? He loves that it's existing in his grasp right this second, too.]

Cisco is wandering, checking out all the drawings people are making when he isn't busy making his own-- mostly caricatures of his friends from home and a few of the ones here. He comes across Misty's tiny army of hoppy friends and grins. "They're adorable, oh my god."

People getting dragged into it?? Yikes. Well, whatever. "I think with that thing, you should just assume whatever makes it the most mysterious and hard to understand is true. If I could tell you anything about it, that definitely wouldn't be mysterious enough." This is a far more applicable form of logic than the one Sunburst was using, let's be real.

[M'Lapis smiles brightly.] You're welcome! But you really should be more careful, you know. All kinds of innocent-looking things can be dangerous around here.

Define interesting.

[He arches an eyebrow because wow, Dipper, wow.]

Because 'interesting' to my group was stuff that could keep us from...y'know, dying. Which...ultimately was super boring, but them's the kicks.

[Shaun moves aside to inspect Dipper's work, and then to watch his outline get up and walk away, thumb raised into the air.]

...So far not too weird. Aside from the obvious.

[Magic chalk is weird by definition, and it's not like seeing chalk outlines wander around on their own is something that happens every day.]

[Oh thank fucking god, he thinks as he realizes that he was now to the point where he was wondering if a Dogcopter was real or alive due to someone's imagination.]
