+ Chalk it to me! - Mingle Log +

Who: EVERYONE!
Where: Anywhere outside on Real Side, but mostly in the gardens!
When: 3/14-3/20
Rating: PG, warn if going higher than PG-13
Summary: Alice has invited everyone, Reals and Mirrors alike, to come color outside in the nice spring weather with magic chalk. Surely nothing could go wrong with that plan, right?
The Story:

Outside, the weather is absolutely beautiful. It's not too hot, but not too cold either, and no one would have ever realized there was snow on the ground yesterday if they hadn't been here to see it. The grass is green and everything is dry - no sign of melted snow anywhere at all. Flowers have begun to bloom and it truly looks as though it's been spring for some time already. The season has changed abruptly and now Wonderland's decided it's time for it to be nice out.

There are many paths through the gardens, the vendors, and the hedge maze that can be drawn on, but as Alice demonstrated in her post, there's no need at all to stick to pavement only. Even the air can be decorated with living drawings!

This is a log for people who want to come color outside or people who want to check out what others are doing out here. It isn't strictly to interact with Alice, but she'll be around and will have a top level.

Alice is in the middle of drawing herself a little blue kitten when she hears Kokichi and looks up.

"Hello, Kokichi!" she says, smiling and cheerful as ever. "Ooo, what a fantastic outift! I like the cape. It's very fancy."
shslliar: (My laughing resonates)

"Nee-hee hee~ Why, thank you!"

He swishes the "cape" around for dramatic emphasis. No wonder Katio liked wearing only one sleeve of this thing, but at least Kokichi looks less stupid doing it.

As for more important matters...

"You don't look too shabby yourself. That's really impressive for someone who hasn't shown her face since Christmas."

Alice applauds when he swishes the cape, and she has enough chalk on her hands that it poofs out in a small cloud when she does.

"Well, I've been rather busy is all," she says. "Being a royal adviser is a lot of work, after all. It means I'm often on the other side of the glass, with the White Queen."
shslliar: (You like krabby patties don'tcha)

"Hm... Yeah, sounds legit."

He glances about the ground, looking for stray chalk to borrow. "But still! For a sec I thought you got eaten by the black void or something... Like, whatever happened to the White Queen.

"By the way, is she still all black and white?"
curiousher: (Really?)

"Oh! I'm sorry. I hadn't realized anyone was worried," she says, and she seems legitimately embarrassed for that. "I had thought everyone would think that with everything back to normal I would be okay. I really should have said something..."

It makes her glad she decided to do this - now everyone knows without question that she's still here.

"Mm. She is, for the time being. I'm sure she'll figure out how to undo it though," Alice says. "It's just never happened before, so it's taking some time to sort it all out."
shslliar: (Boooored)

"Well, you should," he casually remarked, "Everything was normal but the queen, and you work for her."

Put two and two together, Alice.

Kokichi raises an eyebrow at that response. "Wait a second. You're telling me that in all the years you've been stuck here, you've never seen a queen turn into a living monochrome person?"
curiousher: (Take it)

"Never," she says. "Though, to be fair, they aren't always around. It could have technically happened and been resolved when I wasn't looking. But I think if it had happened someone would have said something."
