Summary: Alice has invited everyone, Reals and Mirrors alike, to come color outside in the nice spring weather with magic chalk. Surely nothing could go wrong with that plan, right?
The Story:

Outside, the weather is absolutely beautiful. It's not too hot, but not too cold either, and no one would have ever realized there was snow on the ground yesterday if they hadn't been here to see it. The grass is green and everything is dry - no sign of melted snow anywhere at all. Flowers have begun to bloom and it truly looks as though it's been spring for some time already. The season has changed abruptly and now Wonderland's decided it's time for it to be nice out.

There are many paths through the gardens, the vendors, and the hedge maze that can be drawn on, but as Alice demonstrated in her post, there's no need at all to stick to pavement only. Even the air can be decorated with living drawings!

This is a log for people who want to come color outside or people who want to check out what others are doing out here. It isn't strictly to interact with Alice, but she'll be around and will have a top level.

They're only really dangerous if I want them to be. The real ones anyway. I'm not sure if chalk Personas would obey me, though.

[entreats]

I figured nothing any of us draw would listen to us, if it's this place that's bringing things to life.

[ Wonderland seems to love its chaos, after all. It's also why Ange isn't drawing some of her own more dangerous friends from back home. ]

That's why I'm just drawing harmless idiots.

[eatsyourscience]

That makes sense.

[He thinks it over, wondering what he could draw that would remind him of home but not do much damage.

After a few seconds, he crouches down and starts to draw about a billion blue butterflies. He has to do it fast, because they lift off the ground and take off as soon as he finishes one.]

It probably not that hard to get rid of them even if they are dangerous, though.

[entreats]

[ That last statement makes Ange look up from the ground she was staring at, trying to figure out what he was drawing. She seems a little amused - it's probably easier for that to show when she generally is in a pretty good mood today. ]

Says the guy who can summon supernatural beings. [ It's a lot harder to defend yourself when you have no special powers to speak of. ] Or are you saying the solution might be something as cliche as throwing water on them to make them dissolve?

[eatsyourscience]

The latter.

[He continues drawing, filling the space immediately around himself with clumsy chalk butterflies.]

I mean...they're made of chalk.

[entreats]

Magical chalk.

[ Not that she's necessarily disagreeing. But she has to point it out. ]

I'd rather not have to rely on the effectiveness of water to determine whether or not I get mauled by a drawing.

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji looks thoughtful, then reaches out and swipes at one of the butterflies with his fingers. They go through it, smearing its lines and making it disintegrate into chalk dust on the ground.]

I guess that works, too.

[entreats]

.. Hey, could they even hurt us to begin with if they disappear that easily?

[ How could something even try to touch her without disintegrating then! Suddenly Ange feels kind of dumb for having been worried about the possibility to begin with, hence why she probably seems oddly focused on drawing butterflies as well - though gold ones rather than the blue ones Souji made. She's trying to hide her embarrassment at her own lameness. ]

[eatsyourscience]

...Probably only if we accidentally inhaled them.

[He's picking up a bit on her embarrassment and he gives her what's meant to be a reassuring smile.]

It's easy to expect the worst when it comes to things from Wonderland. Even things that seem harmless like this.

[entreats]

[ She's been caught. Ange immediately knows that he's figured out she feels kind of embarrassed the moment he's giving her that smile, and that in turn makes her even more embarrassed. There's hints of relief for him not judging her too, sure, but she's never been particularly good with figuring out how to deal with people being nice to her, even in small ways like that. ]

It's just that it's inconsistent. One moment it's trying to kill us, the next moment it's trying to let us have fun. [ .. wait, she can't admit that she thinks drawing like this is kind of fun, so-- ] Or something like that.

[eatsyourscience]

Something like that. [He nods.] Almost like it's making up for the bad stuff.

[A beat. He sits back and considers.]

Or like it just can't make up its mind.

[entreats]

[ Those are two pretty different views, huh. ]

So how do you think this place feels towards us then?

[eatsyourscience]

If it feels anything at all...I think it likes having us here. It wants us here.

[entreats]

That's rather straightforward. It couldn't ask us out for dinner first?

[ Implying you have a love life of any kind or experience with it, Ange.. ]

[eatsyourscience]

[He smiles a little at that. He gets her humor.]

It's more like a stalker then, I guess.

[entreats]

All this time my dad taught me to not trust men. I guess he should've been working on teaching me to not trust places instead.

[ She grows quiet for a moment after that bit of dry humor. She stares at the ground for a moment, like she's pondering what else to draw, and then back at Souji. ] You draw something again.

[ Sure, maybe it's kind of rude to make other people amuse her, but he seems to be indulging her already anyway by having this conversation with her. It's not that much of a stretch to her in that case. ]

[eatsyourscience]

[The corner of his mouth quirks at the command, but he obliges, sketching out a figure on the ground. The little guy stands up and rocks back and forth on its feet for a second before bouncing away.]

That's one of my Personas at home. Not a very powerful one.

[entreats]

[ Ange stares at it for a moment, observing the small figure as it hops away. ]

.. It's cute. [ It's a little easier to admit that with her current mood. ] Nothing like the one you showed me before. I think I like this one more.

[eatsyourscience]

[He nods. That's fair.]

He's called Jack Frost. He can do ice spells. Weak ones, but they don't always have to be strong if you know what you're doing.

[entreats]

That makes sense. Since he's a snowman.

[ It'd be more weird if he could somehow cast fire spells.. ]

He kind of makes me think of something from my world.. [ She starts drawing as well, and it's.. some sort of toy lion? ]

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji leans a little closer to see what she's drawing.]

What's it called?

[entreats]

Sakutaro. He was my older cousin's toy. [ And kind-of-but-also-not-really-imaginary friend? It's complicated. ]

He has that same cute charm to him as that Jack Frost, don't you think?

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji nods.]

I think part of that is that neither of us is really an artist, though.

[entreats]

[ Should've been working on that Expression stat, Souji. ]

That's a pretty cruel thing to say. [ Ange's tone is flat though, indicating she's taking absolutely no offense despite what she's saying. ] I could probably do illustrations for children's books if I tried.

[eatsyourscience]

[You're getting a social link anyway.

He smiles a little.]

Maybe. Better than I could, anyway.
