And no way out at all?

Not that we have access to. It's not something we accomplish. People leave, but not because they solve the puzzle.

[So people do leave, but it's because something takes them away.]

How do we know where they go when they leave?

Not really. Sometimes people come back. Sometimes when they do, they have memories from home, but... it's complicated.

[Complicated, and there's a lot of room for suspicion.

Natasha has never had a lot of trouble being suspicious.]

[Well that's always an interesting word.]

That doesn't sound like the good or fun kind of complicated.

No, I wouldn't say it's the good or fun kind of complicated. It's the complicated kind of complicated.

I think I might come visit that bar of yours while I'm figuring things out.

[It seems like an important question to ask, as Carol's going to inevitably break something.]

Not really. There's not much need for it. The closets make whatever you want anyway—approximately.

[And she's going to find the nearest closet, keep talking to her, Natasha.]

So why have the bar? Just ... an opportunity for social interaction?

Keep busy. Get out. Plus, the closets aren't always reliable.

Eh, a little variety isn't such a bad thing.

[She says, not having really tried the closets for herself yet.]

By all means, see what you get when you try it.

[SHE WILL. In fact, she will ask for some kind of booze that she got once at a dive bar on Knowhere, and probably is not found on Earth at all, and when she yanks out that strange looking bottle she places the camera down on the table, followed by the bottle, followed by the sound of her yanking out a cork.]

Oh God. That smells about right.

[It sounds both pleased and not, all at the same time.]

You get what you were looking for?

Oh yeah. One of the few things that can actually get me drunk. And it smells ... so bad.

[Is Emily just going to make up some space booze? You betcha.]

Probably for the best. I'm not sure what it would do to regular Terrans anyway.

I'm comfortable enough not finding out.

There are some non likely fatal space drinks if you want to spice up your menu a bit.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm sure there's a few super soldiers around here who wouldn't mind the other stuff, even.
