Re-Arrival; OTA
Who: Michonne, various others, you!!
Where: Gardens, inside the mansion, around.
When: Backdated to 6-2
Rating: Could get adult situation-y, will edit if not suitable for general audiences.
Summary: Michonne is back after being gone longer than normal.
The Story:
[ When Michonne arrives back, she's in the gardens. She has no idea that she's been gone now for two weeks instead of one. She's also dressed for heavy winter, and as soon as she remembers where she is and what Wonderland is, she lets out a breath and removes her katana, then her coat before putting the katana back over her shoulder. There's nothing to be done for the rest of her hot snowy-weather clothing, so, for now, she trudges toward the mansion.
For the first time though, in all the times she's left and returned, everything with her is good. Alpha's still out there, shit might fall apart soon, but she was having a snowball fight with her kids. That's better than any time she's returned before.
She has no idea she died before she left Wonderland, so her pace, while hurried because there are people to see, isn't panicked. There's a lot to tell Regina, especially, some that Michonne isn't sure how to explain. But she will. Somehow, she will. For now, she looks woefully over-dressed for the hot weather and squints at someone who appears to be walking toward her but is still too far to see clearly yet. ]
[ The three people Michonne makes it a point to see are Regina, Clementine, and Louis. She knows that once she's home, in her room, there won't be any coming out of it for a while, so she sends a message to Clementine and Louis, letting them know she's back, that she's safe. But as soon as she can, she heads to see them too, needing to reassure herself that there still here--especially Louis. She hates so much that she left. Not just before she could be there for Louis, but because she hadn't been there for Clementine either.
By now she knows she died (apparently a lot of people did), and that makes it death number four on the books for her. So, the tone is a little different now, but still, she needs to be sure everyone she loves is alright. Last she remembers everyone was being attacked by aliens. This is what has Michonne going from the 8th floor down the 7th, and eventually the kitchen. It's been so long since she's had a real meal, and she has no idea what she'll make with unlimited resources. What she thought was going to be some kind of soup turns out to be a not-too-shabby gumbo, the smell of different spices coming together to make one big comforting pot. She even makes rice to go with it, and there's plenty to go around. She makes sure there's plenty to drop off back at the kid's rooms and enough for Regina.
But there's an abundance for anyone who wants some, and as she stirs the rice, she speaks up at the sound of footfalls. ]
Plenty of shrimp gumbo if you're into that sort of thing.
[ When she leaves the kitchen, she leaves a glass bowl of food in front of both Clementine and Louis' doors. ]

INSIDE THE MANSION

no subject
[He does mange a chuckle- something that probably would have sounded disjointed and wrong a week ago. But this time, at least, there's genuine warmth there. ]
Awww really? That's so cool. I'm sure she kicks all the ass with it, too.
[For a stranger for their world, the idea of one so young actually needing to kick any ass at all with a sword would be ridiculous. But theirs is a world where being a kid is a luxury the can only afford in brief spurts. If Judith's been through half the shit AJ has already, he doesn't doubt she knows exactly how to use that sword and probably has used it.
He appreciates not having to talk about himself. He's not great at looking after his own bullshit and he'd rather avoid talking about it forever. Not healthy at all, but better (in his mind, at least) than dwelling on it. ]
How's she doing? With everything?
[Also a roundabout way of checking how things ARE for Michonne. The state of her community in general.]
