Summary: Open log for the Persona 4 event! Everyone is spending some time as students and instructors at Yasogami High School in Inaba, Japan.
The Story:
For the weekend, everyone is either a teacher or a student at a Japanese high school. Enjoy Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and look forward to exams on Monday.

[Souji takes a seat, setting his things down, but paying more attention to hers, peering at the books she's got open in front of her.]

Gave up on math, huh?

[entreats]

[ She casts a glance at the half buried book before looking back at him. ]

Yeah. It felt like a waste of time trying to study if I'm going to fail the test anyway. I'm no good at it.

[eatsyourscience]

I could help you, if you want.

[Math isn't his best subject, but he's good enough at it to do well on the exams.]

[entreats]

Are you sure you have nothing better to do on a Sunday? I mean, I appreciate it, but it's.. [ Ange gestures at the book. ] .. boring.

[eatsyourscience]

It's not like I have anywhere to be. [He smiles wryly.] But we don't have to. Sometimes it's better to study for what you're already good at than to spend a lot of time struggling with something you're not.

[entreats]

Yeah. Let's just not study.

[ Maybe she's giving up on that one a little too quickly - especially since it doesn't seem like she's bothering to study for anything she's good at either right now - but still. ]

I'd rather just talk with you. Why did you come here today? [ Don't say study. The S-word is forbidden now. ]

I like the library. If I have to just hang out somewhere, it might as well be here.

[Of course, there he'd be just as happy hanging out in other places, but putting up some semblance of being a good student can go a long way.]

What about you?

[entreats]

It's relatively quiet here. Not a whole lot of annoying people to deal with. So.. I guess it's the same for me, yeah. [ If she has to hang out anywhere, it might as well be the library indeed. ]

Plus, it's not like I have a whole lot of people to hang out with on Sunday anyway. You know I'm not exactly the popular type, right? Not compared to you.

[ Granted, since Ange has so few friends (read: mostly just him), anyone seems popular in comparison. ]

I'm not that popular.

[Lies.]

But you're right. It's a Sunday and it's right before exams. Everyone is pretty busy.

[entreats]

So you're saying I'm at the bottom of your list of people to hang out with? [ She's not really offended. It's easy to tell just from her face and her tone. It's more just an attempt at teasing. ] So cold, saying that straight to a girl's face.

[eatsyourscience]

[He smiles a little, knowing he's being teased but still feeling a little bit bad about it.]

It's not like that. I like talking with you.

[entreats]

[ The teasing attitude fades a bit, not wanting to push it too much. She's not totally tactless. ]

Thanks. I wouldn't have minded if it had been true, you know. I know I'm not exactly the most interesting person around. [ Ange is definitely not an extrovert, after all. ] But that's why I appreciate you coming over to me anyway.

How could I leave a pretty girl sitting alone?

[Now he's the one teasing.]

[entreats]

[ Clearly he's better at it than her, since an instinctive blush appears on her face. The moment she realises it, Ange quickly clears her throat and tries to force it off her face the best she can. ]

You win today. You're way too good at this.

[eatsyourscience]

[He chuckles, then looks at his books. He really should study but uuugh. This conversation is much more fun.]

...Are you ready for the economics "exam"?

[He's not supposed to mention studying, but that isn't studying. It's more of a philosophical question of "what the hell is even going on?"]

[entreats]

[ It's true, there's no way Ange could even use a word like "studying" for Mr. Pines' class. It's all just a random game of chance. Total chaos. ]

Yeah. [ She sounds pretty nonchalant about it. She doesn't particularly want to go to summer school, but on the other hand, she also feels like putting tons of effort into this won't actually help your chances. ] I'm going to sell him the idea of just going on a permanent vacation.

[eatsyourscience]

...That might work.

[It would be hard to pass up a permanent vacation.]

And if he actually bought it, it'd be good for us.

[Kind of hard to tell if he's kidding there.]

[entreats]

[ It might be hard to tell with him, but Ange replies without even missing a beat, sounding dead serious-- ]

Try thinking up something else you could sell him that'll get rid of him so we both get a shot at it.

[ At least she means "get rid of him" in a peaceful way.. ]

This might be our only chance.

[eatsyourscience]

[He stifles a smile and actually gives it a moment of thought.]

...I can't think of anything else that isn't along the lines of "permanent vacation."

[He thinks a moment more.]

Maybe a train line or something. Something he can just take out of here.

[entreats]

That's an idea. Maybe a private jet? But I guess that's kind of close to a vacation.

[ Ange seems to think as well. ]

Or a girlfriend. So he'll get so busy paying attention to her that he won't have time to teach. [ She makes a bit of a face though after saying that. ] I can't imagine anyone wanting to get even close to dating a guy like that though.

[ Hence why she's assuming he's not even married in the first place. Because.. seriously. Who would. ]

[He laughs a little at the thought.]

I guess it's possible. But didn't he tell us he was married once? Something about meeting in a casino and her stealing his car...

[It's a legit story, but he has no idea where Mr. Pines would have found a casino.]

[entreats]

[ She leans a little closer towards him so she can whisper. ]

Honestly, I don't believe a word coming out of that guy's mouth.

[ Not that Ange doesn't have a general distrust towards people, especially adults in charge, but she's pretty sure he seems particularly suspicious. Even by teacher standards. ]

For all we know, he might not even be who he says he is. Isn't identity theft a big thing nowadays? [ She's not exactly joking, since she means what she says, but her tone is still relatively light. Like it's still not too serious of a topic, but more like a fun scandal to gossip about. ]

[eatsyourscience]

[He pauses to think about that, smiling a little.]

Not being who he says he is might actually make him kind of cool to some people.

[entreats]

[ She leans back so she's sitting in a normal way again, raising an eyebrow. ]

Do you think that's cool?

[eatsyourscience]

...Not in his case, no. It's more kind of frightening than cool.
