IT'S PARTY TIME, FOLKS +OPEN TO ALL+
Who: Everyone and anyone! Get your butts in here, or Lux will hunt you down. D:
Where: On the beach, baby
When:Sunday Monday~!
Rating: R FOR SE-- No, really. PG. Seriously. Rating may change!
Summary: IT'S PARTY TIME, BABY! Need I say more? ♥
the Story:
It really isn't all that often that Luxord gets the chance to play host for a mansion party, but when he does nothing is held back to make it as enjoyable and memorable as possible for those attending. After all, the residents have been rather in need of some cheering up lately, and he wants to assist in this venture as best that he can.
As you step outside, fireworks can be heard quite close by, the sparks and brightness they give off bathing the nearby sand and grass in seemingly millions of colors; if you creep down closer to the beach, away from the bonfire and barbecue both burning brightly into the night, we're sure that you'll be able to see them better.
Outdoor tables are set off to one side laden with delectable food and drink; spirits, wine, beer, anything alcoholic under the sun was sure to be there somewhere. Accompanying the vast range of drinks has to of course be an equally impressive menu; finger foods, full-course meals, even sweets for the such inclined - help yourself, but just don't swim or dance on a full stomach~.
Another round of fireworks are let off, the faint smell of gunpowder filling the air as well as music that just makes you want to dance; you should just give in and dance to the beats, you know~.
(ooc: This is just a starting point; it's a free for all, so go for it! and I know it's posted a little late, so sorry. D: It doesn't need to be limited to just this log; feel free to post your own separate ones off it! Without further delay... Let the fun begin! And third person is go lovelies ♥)

And so Xigbar found himself warping from place to place through the mansion corridors, hoping that Yotsuba was not hanging out inside one of the other rooms; he wasn't about to go bursting into people's rooms and get pelted by hairbrushes or trinkets (or fireballs) before heading to a party. Totally not cool.
Walking on the ceiling of a second floor hallway, he continued looking around for Yotsuba without any luck. At least he wasn't the only one looking for her, right?
no subject
It was unfortunate, afterall, that Yotsuba was lost yet again somewhere inside the mansion. A more fitting way of putting it would be that she was 'off exploring all the stacked floors and hallways without a care in the world, looking for whatever adventure may find her', but the now-Somebodies had simply become used to just using the term 'lost' should the topic arise; the more accurate summary had become too long an explanation, and time was of the essence.
In and out, behind random doors through each and every floor, Demyx warped himself around as well, hoping to at least catch a trace of the little ball of energy he was looking for. You'd think someone so bright and colorful would be easy to find, despite her size, but on the contrary, Yotsuba was proving to be an itty-bitty needle in a haystack.
The Melodious Nocturne was admittedly becoming a bit weary as the search went on, anxious to get to the party himself. But Yotsuba was the most important element, and he wanted to see her face when she first goes outside. They had to find her first.
"Yotsubaaaa~"

He looked around earnestly; as a commander and then a volunteer fighter for an allied nation, he was used to being around masses of people he did not know. Maybe he could mingle if he was feeling really adventurous, but for the moment he was content with exploring.

Picking a random spot on the sand, he watched the sparks explode in the sky with mild curiosity, giving a loud 'bang' as they did. The lion had never seen anything like it on the Pride Lands, and he couldn't help but wonder where these colorful sparks came from.
no subject
And then the fireworks exploded in the sky outside, quite close to her window, with a great big 'BANG'. Rizelle tottered a bit to the left, but then regained her balance as she had a spider peer through the shutters to the grounds outside. A party....? She had heard some King talking about a party for a seemingly little girl....
The sight of the food and the alcohol clinched it, along with her faintly hungry stomach. Without another thought of her self-imposed inhibitions, she scuttled her way downstairs, stretching out her six arms and four legs as she went along, thinking quite happily of the expectation of a full stomach by the end of the day.
Rizelle made her way to the beach, stopping only when she made out a dark feline-shaped lump in the white sand. Was this....he had talked about being annoyed that other residents always had the comments about his being a talking lion, so it was most probably him. "He called himself Scar...."
Still standing behind him with her foremost arms folded and the others fanning out behind her, she said aloud, "Are you Scar?"

The sorcerer ventured outside upon seeing the fireworks, taking a spot somewhere near the tables while watching the other actors on this little stage.

They were too happy, and hedenostic, she would say to him.
Vincent was determined to enjoy this party, and enjoy it he would. Making his way to the table he begin to sample some of the food with a deep curiosity.

It wasn't at all usual to hold festivities among cultured people down along a beach, however, at least not where he'd come from, but he doubted seriously that there were many people here that came from his time and place. He was very much the foreigner in this place (as he was certain many others were), and would simply have to adapt.

Tessa was just silent and happy, content with what she sees so far, people enjoying themselves. Its a welcome change for her and she's enjoying it.
She then observed pirate and then approached him, remembering the pirates' reputation for thier usual misconduct, but he is really quite intriguing. She was nervous at first but summoned up the courage to approach the man.
"Hmm... You are a pirate, sir, Am I right?" She asked politely.

He was wishing that his brother was there though.

Instinctively, he jerks. "Ack!"
And for a moment, he sourly wishes he brought a weapon with him -- not that he should expect anything from the Yellow God right now.
Er. Rather, so Harry hopes.

Strawberry, if you simply must know.
He remains silent with a very serious look on his face as he sets down the tray, the quickly inches away.
It's his only relief that he did not wear the apron outside in public. Good lord no.
Clearing his throat, Saix turns and sets out to find a good spot to brood in. This is how Saix rolls.

But she came here for the fun and entertainment that was promised. But this one peculiar fellow did not seem like he was enjoying it so far (and he had blue hair too. Did he eat one too many blueberries as a boy?). So she approached him with a slight bounce in her step.
"Excuse me, sir, why do you seem so glum?"

Just WHAT is the King of All Cosmos doing at this moment?
Quite simply, he's currently... well, he's not exactly present, but should one look up in the sky, they'll note the King to be flying around. He seems to be preoccupied with something.
Check back with the King later? Might be a good idea.
WOOOOOOSH~

Yes, the fireworks are really what caught Harry's attention. In turn, he saw the notice about the party about the little girl, and... well.
Maybe this is really what he needs. Something to take his mind of off everything. Being surrounded by people seems like a very good thing, and what could go wrong at a party in the honor of a young girl?
It takes some flights of stairs, but eventually Harry makes his way outside. It's interesting, seeing all kinds of characters here. Different kinds of people from all over in one spot is still strange to him, and... is that a guy flying up in space? Weird.
Still, this is pretty interesting.
He only stops when he sees the table with all kinds of alcohol.
...Fabulous. Isn't this a party in the honor of a little girl? He's trying to stay sober.
Damn it. ... At least he won't be drinking alone.

In a flashy fashion, because he didn't know any other way, he dropped over the endless ocean and started walking on the shore line. It would be nice if any of them couldn't walk on water and might be impressed by the trick.
As he found a large enough rock on the sand, he jumped on it, sat down, and played the flute in a fast song. Music was as necessary as the fireworks and the alcohol for a good party.
no subject
So, the Hokage casually walked up to Waka, still smiling somewhat.
"You play the flute well."

That would be a wonderful accomplishment indeed.
Incredibly wary of the fact that she was sprinkling fairy dust in her wake, she took to sitting at the edge of one of the tables, knowing it was a good place for her to hide without getting stood on by someone else. That was certainly something that she didn't need happening.
no subject
"Tinkerbell?" he called out, carefully making sure that he wasn't too loud. She could prolly hear him from a mile away. "Tinkerbell!" Dodging an elbow that he really didn't want hitting his side, Sora made his way over to the table she sat on the edge of. "Hey, Tink, when did you get here?"

It was due to this that he had practically been dragged along to the party by Celine - who wasn't there herself yet it seemed, Riku mused, scanning the gathering on the beach. Fireworks. Even he couldn't help a tiny smile at those.
Flashy was obviously someone's middle name.
After a moment of indecision, he figured that the best place to start would be the food table; how could you go wrong with the food table?
no subject
There were already quite a few people there, including some familiar faces. He left the brownies at the table, took a couple of them with him - he was pretty sure they'd disappear in seconds flat - and tried to find the best place to watch the fireworks.

"Hotdogs, hamburgers, shish kebabs!" he called out as he looked over each and every piece of meat that he was grilling. "Chicken breasts, thighs and legs; salmon, sausage!" There were plastic bags full of buns at his disposal, as well as a separate table he had set up with ketchup, mustard and other condiments one might need for grilling.
Narugami twirled tongs in his hands like they were guns and he happened to be in the Old West. He didn't mind wearing that white apron either. It was a sign of superiority in his eyes. "Step right up!"

Let's just say that when Kazahaya spotted another boy cooking, he couldn't pass it up. Finally someone was cooking food, and it wasn't just appearing out of thin air like he had witnessed so many times.
He walked up to the other boy cooking, scratched his head, "Hey, those look really good." Kazahaya said looking at the display of meats. Carefully he considered his options before deciding, "Mind if I have a chicken breast and a hotdog?"

Near hardly left his room - venturing outside in the middle of the night to attend a social event was too uncomfortable for someone like him. However, his curiosity about Mihael couldn't be ignored, and truth be told, he didn't fear death anymore. He'd welcome it, even.
So there he was, silently observing the blond's movements, hoping his presence would remain unnoticed.

The party had already started by the time Nuriko arrived, and the tables already had attracted a number of of residents. The food smelled delicious, but right now Nuriko wanted a quiet spot to watch the fireworks. Just a little bit of nostalgia, then he could join the others and maybe get better acquainted with some of them.

Loz somehow managed to get himself separated from Yazoo and Kadaj. Not favorable. Sure, maybe he got a little over eager looking for Big Bro, but jeez.
He grumbles. He doesn't WANT to ask for help, but doesn't have a choice. There's too many damned people here to see them properly.
"Hey! Miss!" he calls out obliviously to Nuriko.

Besides, he knew he would have at least a couple people he knew here. He asked them to come, after all. He turned around to face them.
Ada Wong and Walter Sullivan. Leon smiled a little, shrugging, "Guess we just have fun, guys."
no subject
Walter mostly looks bewildered at the fireworks and the activity -- as if he's never seen this kind of thing before. His head tilts as he looks up, mesmerized by the sight of flashing lights and the sound of people laughing.
...Huh. What is this?
He blinks, not immediately responding to Leon. He turns his head eventually to look at him.
"How?" he asks honestly. He's never experienced something like this before.

So, despite not knowing Yotsuba at all, Fai couldn't help but think that perhaps a party would help lighten the atmosphere between them, and a little social lubrication in the form on alcohol couldn't hurt either.
The fireworks illuminated Fai's face as he smiled and he peered over at Kurogane. " It looks like the party's already begun," he said, with a hint of laughter in his voice.
no subject
Not that it wasn't a good party of course. 'Party' and 'Kurogane' just usually didn't go in the same sentence like that.
Just as a particularily bright gold firework went up and exploded into a hundred specks of light, the ninja replied with a curt nod, face pointed to the sky as another one went up and separated, though his gaze flickered downward though when the had blond spoken. It still seemed so... strange to hear him like that. Laughter. It wasn't a word he would have guessed to be associated with Fai a month ago. "Aa. I guess so."
And he still couldn't quite fathom why... whatever this was was happening. But he wouldn't ask, yet. At least not tonight. "We could go sit closer to the fireworks -- less people." He wasn't hungry, and food was out of the question for the other, meaning they could ignore that table. And if the gods were on Kurogane's side that night, maybe the one with the drinks could be bypassed as well...
