IT'S PARTY TIME, FOLKS +OPEN TO ALL+

Who: Everyone and anyone! Get your butts in here, or Lux will hunt you down. D:
Where: On the beach, baby
When: Sunday Monday~!
Rating: R FOR SE-- No, really. PG. Seriously. Rating may change!
Summary: IT'S PARTY TIME, BABY! Need I say more? ♥
the Story:
It really isn't all that often that Luxord gets the chance to play host for a mansion party, but when he does nothing is held back to make it as enjoyable and memorable as possible for those attending. After all, the residents have been rather in need of some cheering up lately, and he wants to assist in this venture as best that he can.

As you step outside, fireworks can be heard quite close by, the sparks and brightness they give off bathing the nearby sand and grass in seemingly millions of colors; if you creep down closer to the beach, away from the bonfire and barbecue both burning brightly into the night, we're sure that you'll be able to see them better.

Outdoor tables are set off to one side laden with delectable food and drink; spirits, wine, beer, anything alcoholic under the sun was sure to be there somewhere. Accompanying the vast range of drinks has to of course be an equally impressive menu; finger foods, full-course meals, even sweets for the such inclined - help yourself, but just don't swim or dance on a full stomach~.

Another round of fireworks are let off, the faint smell of gunpowder filling the air as well as music that just makes you want to dance; you should just give in and dance to the beats, you know~.

(ooc: This is just a starting point; it's a free for all, so go for it! and I know it's posted a little late, so sorry. D: It doesn't need to be limited to just this log; feel free to post your own separate ones off it! Without further delay... Let the fun begin! And third person is go lovelies ♥)

The first thing to do in 'Operation: Get Yotsuba to the Surprise Party' (he was obviously failing with names at the moment) was locate Yotsuba. Considering the little girl had taken it upon herself to see to everyone's injuries after the last event, she could literally be anywhere in the mansion at the moment.

And so Xigbar found himself warping from place to place through the mansion corridors, hoping that Yotsuba was not hanging out inside one of the other rooms; he wasn't about to go bursting into people's rooms and get pelted by hairbrushes or trinkets (or fireballs) before heading to a party. Totally not cool.

Walking on the ceiling of a second floor hallway, he continued looking around for Yotsuba without any luck. At least he wasn't the only one looking for her, right?

Of course, a party for the tiny, green-haired youth meant Demyx had himself involved, too. He'd split up early on with the sharp shooter in hopes of finding her faster, but...so far, the plan just seemed to be a total bust.

It was unfortunate, afterall, that Yotsuba was lost yet again somewhere inside the mansion. A more fitting way of putting it would be that she was 'off exploring all the stacked floors and hallways without a care in the world, looking for whatever adventure may find her', but the now-Somebodies had simply become used to just using the term 'lost' should the topic arise; the more accurate summary had become too long an explanation, and time was of the essence.

In and out, behind random doors through each and every floor, Demyx warped himself around as well, hoping to at least catch a trace of the little ball of energy he was looking for. You'd think someone so bright and colorful would be easy to find, despite her size, but on the contrary, Yotsuba was proving to be an itty-bitty needle in a haystack.

The Melodious Nocturne was admittedly becoming a bit weary as the search went on, anxious to get to the party himself. But Yotsuba was the most important element, and he wanted to see her face when she first goes outside. They had to find her first.

"Yotsubaaaa~"

It wasn't so much that Tir had decided to go to the party as it was he noticed the setup on his way back to the mansion from further down the beach; he had found a nice outcropping of rocks that allowed him further out onto the water, where fish were more likely to be.

He looked around earnestly; as a commander and then a volunteer fighter for an allied nation, he was used to being around masses of people he did not know. Maybe he could mingle if he was feeling really adventurous, but for the moment he was content with exploring.

She had a hard time sleeping. Sleep was something that the teenage girl never really liked much because of her experience. So when she had seen the fireworks outside she left her room and ventured outside. The area was a bit crowded for her liking, but she noticed that the shore was scarce of people. Quickly she made her way to that area, and remained content to watch the people.

Scar had no idea why he was attending. Perhaps he was merely growing bored, or perhaps he was curious to see what this all was about. In any case, he didn't have anything better to do anyway.

Picking a random spot on the sand, he watched the sparks explode in the sky with mild curiosity, giving a loud 'bang' as they did. The lion had never seen anything like it on the Pride Lands, and he couldn't help but wonder where these colorful sparks came from.

Rizelle would have been just fine and dandy to stay in her room, weaving a web of thin silk around and around her bedposts as she browsed through the network and, consequentially, into other people's journals. But, it had been three days - or maybe four? She didn't remember - since she had last eaten anything, and the hunger was starting to get to her. Rizelle had to eat sometime, but she did not much like the idea of going down to the kitchen alone to dine....she had been alone for these last few days already, and alone for a couple days before she came here, for the reason of her highly regarded and now failed mission. Plus, for the sake of convenience, she had decided to stay in her visually disturbing demon form as long as she was here, and the thought of scared and running residents, while amusing, was still quite a bitter taste on her tongue.

And then the fireworks exploded in the sky outside, quite close to her window, with a great big 'BANG'. Rizelle tottered a bit to the left, but then regained her balance as she had a spider peer through the shutters to the grounds outside. A party....? She had heard some King talking about a party for a seemingly little girl....

The sight of the food and the alcohol clinched it, along with her faintly hungry stomach. Without another thought of her self-imposed inhibitions, she scuttled her way downstairs, stretching out her six arms and four legs as she went along, thinking quite happily of the expectation of a full stomach by the end of the day.

Rizelle made her way to the beach, stopping only when she made out a dark feline-shaped lump in the white sand. Was this....he had talked about being annoyed that other residents always had the comments about his being a talking lion, so it was most probably him. "He called himself Scar...."

Still standing behind him with her foremost arms folded and the others fanning out behind her, she said aloud, "Are you Scar?"

It had been some time since Kuja had attended a party. The Canary's birthday had most likely been the last one, which had ended in an act of chaos as the dear princess was 'kidnapped'.

The sorcerer ventured outside upon seeing the fireworks, taking a spot somewhere near the tables while watching the other actors on this little stage.

A party! Oh goody a real live party. Vincent knew he was being just a tad bit childish, but the last time he had a party was during his last year of seminary. After that any attempts to throw any sort of party were quickly squashed by Claudia.

They were too happy, and hedenostic, she would say to him.

Vincent was determined to enjoy this party, and enjoy it he would. Making his way to the table he begin to sample some of the food with a deep curiosity.

[identity profile] jas-matthew.livejournal.com 2007-08-28 12:26 pm (UTC)(link)
A chance to get out of that room was more than welcome, and Captain Jas. Hook was never one to turn down an invitation if he could help it. Good form and all that. And being one who liked to make good first impressions with new people, he opted to air out one of his better coats -- the dark blue one, this time. It wasn't heavily adorned but still rather flattering and quite complimentary to the forget-me-not hue of his eyes. (Not that pirate captains paid particular attention to these sorts of things as that is not manly in the least -- this one had just always been one of his favorites.)

It wasn't at all usual to hold festivities among cultured people down along a beach, however, at least not where he'd come from, but he doubted seriously that there were many people here that came from his time and place. He was very much the foreigner in this place (as he was certain many others were), and would simply have to adapt.

Tessa just went around enjoying herself, eating food and observing the lot of people, which is the mostly what she did upon her stumbling at the mansion.

Tessa was just silent and happy, content with what she sees so far, people enjoying themselves. Its a welcome change for her and she's enjoying it.

She then observed pirate and then approached him, remembering the pirates' reputation for thier usual misconduct, but he is really quite intriguing. She was nervous at first but summoned up the courage to approach the man.

"Hmm... You are a pirate, sir, Am I right?" She asked politely.

He'd been outside making flower chains when the festivities started. Smiling he sat, leaning against a large tree and watched all the residence having themselves a good time. He thought to himself that this is how Paradise would have been. Many people mingling together in happiness.

He was wishing that his brother was there though.

As Harry was heading for one of the tables can you guess which one, he does catch the sight of Lobsel Vith out of the corner of his eye.

Instinctively, he jerks. "Ack!"

And for a moment, he sourly wishes he brought a weapon with him -- not that he should expect anything from the Yellow God right now.

Er. Rather, so Harry hopes.

it is a strange thing for a lion to be woken up by fireworks, but Nala, being fascinated by the bright lights and loud noises, went along with it. The people swimming didn't interest her at all, but the smell of the set up for the barbecue did. The fire tended to bring up some bad memories, but the sight of the the other residents enjoying themselves overshadowed those fairly quickly.

As seriously and quietly as Saix can muster, he approaches a table carrying a rather... good sized cake.

Strawberry, if you simply must know.

He remains silent with a very serious look on his face as he sets down the tray, the quickly inches away.

It's his only relief that he did not wear the apron outside in public. Good lord no.

Clearing his throat, Saix turns and sets out to find a good spot to brood in. This is how Saix rolls.

Alice was on her merry way to the party as well. A party for the little girl she met at the King's royal breakfast party (Yotsuba, wasn't it?). And on the beach too. She hadn't actually seen the beach here. Actually, she never really went to a beach at all. Was it all right to wear a dress here? There was so much sand (it was getting in her shoes!).

But she came here for the fun and entertainment that was promised. But this one peculiar fellow did not seem like he was enjoying it so far (and he had blue hair too. Did he eat one too many blueberries as a boy?). So she approached him with a slight bounce in her step.

"Excuse me, sir, why do you seem so glum?"

Now, you might (or might not) be asking yourself:

Just WHAT is the King of All Cosmos doing at this moment?

Quite simply, he's currently... well, he's not exactly present, but should one look up in the sky, they'll note the King to be flying around. He seems to be preoccupied with something.

Check back with the King later? Might be a good idea.

WOOOOOOSH~

Now, see...

Yes, the fireworks are really what caught Harry's attention. In turn, he saw the notice about the party about the little girl, and... well.

Maybe this is really what he needs. Something to take his mind of off everything. Being surrounded by people seems like a very good thing, and what could go wrong at a party in the honor of a young girl?

It takes some flights of stairs, but eventually Harry makes his way outside. It's interesting, seeing all kinds of characters here. Different kinds of people from all over in one spot is still strange to him, and... is that a guy flying up in space? Weird.

Still, this is pretty interesting.

He only stops when he sees the table with all kinds of alcohol.

...Fabulous. Isn't this a party in the honor of a little girl? He's trying to stay sober.

Damn it. ... At least he won't be drinking alone.

[identity profile] holy-heretic.livejournal.com 2007-08-28 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Alessa spots her father next to the table with all the alcohol on it. She hesitates, she knows she should be meeting other people, but she doesn't want her father getting drunk. Hesitantly she leaves the spot she was at, and walks up to her dad.

"Hey, dad." Alessa says smiling.

So that was the prophecy about, Ushiwaka had grinned when he had seen the invitation on the network. He was going to show up even if he wasn't invited, though, but he appreciated the formalities.

In a flashy fashion, because he didn't know any other way, he dropped over the endless ocean and started walking on the shore line. It would be nice if any of them couldn't walk on water and might be impressed by the trick.

As he found a large enough rock on the sand, he jumped on it, sat down, and played the flute in a fast song. Music was as necessary as the fireworks and the alcohol for a good party.

[identity profile] flash-minato.livejournal.com 2007-08-28 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Such a large gathering was natural to attract the former Hokage's attention. After a long time spent debating (he wasn't sure if he wanted to join in or not), he decided it couldn't hurt. So, Minato, in his full Jounin uniform and his trademark fire cloak, managed to make his way to the party... And upon noticing a rather unusual man walking on water, he grinned. Another ninja, maybe?

So, the Hokage casually walked up to Waka, still smiling somewhat.

"You play the flute well."

Parties were more events for grown ups than for fairies, but Tinkerbell figured that it wouldn't hurt to go and check it out anyway. After all, most of the mansion seemed to be eager to attend, and there was also a chance - however small - that she could find Peter there.

That would be a wonderful accomplishment indeed.

Incredibly wary of the fact that she was sprinkling fairy dust in her wake, she took to sitting at the edge of one of the tables, knowing it was a good place for her to hide without getting stood on by someone else. That was certainly something that she didn't need happening.

[identity profile] manyforms.livejournal.com 2007-08-29 02:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Prepared to be teased by everyone in the whole damn mansion, Sora showed up to the party. He wasn't about to let a stupid dress keep him from having fun! The boy had wanted a drink, and was no stranger to a spiked punch bowl or two, and had grabbed a can of soda. So, soda in hand, he went around to find his friends. Instead he saw someone strangely familiar.

"Tinkerbell?" he called out, carefully making sure that he wasn't too loud. She could prolly hear him from a mile away. "Tinkerbell!" Dodging an elbow that he really didn't want hitting his side, Sora made his way over to the table she sat on the edge of. "Hey, Tink, when did you get here?"

[identity profile] forthedarkness.livejournal.com 2007-08-28 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
A party, huh. Riku had debated for many a time after going to see Sora about whether he should attend the party or not; his best friend had-- well, he didn't really want to think about it. And while he hadn't been the one to cause it, he still felt incredibly guilty about it. As though somehow, if he had been there, he would have been able to stop it.

It was due to this that he had practically been dragged along to the party by Celine - who wasn't there herself yet it seemed, Riku mused, scanning the gathering on the beach. Fireworks. Even he couldn't help a tiny smile at those.

Flashy was obviously someone's middle name.

After a moment of indecision, he figured that the best place to start would be the food table; how could you go wrong with the food table?

[identity profile] a-game-of-cards.livejournal.com 2007-08-28 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
He showed up on the beach with a tray of brownies just out of the oven. Even though he figured that inviting everyone meant that those in charge of organizing this had already thought about food and drink, it didn't feel right to arrive with empty hands, and he knew from experience that there was no such thing as too much food. Besides, it was a way to make up for being so rude to everyone the other day.

There were already quite a few people there, including some familiar faces. He left the brownies at the table, took a couple of them with him - he was pretty sure they'd disappear in seconds flat - and tried to find the best place to watch the fireworks.

[identity profile] innocentxcharm.livejournal.com 2007-08-28 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Florian had never been to a party before! The replica was running around, laughing, excited by the pretty lights in the sky and the lively chatter of the people around him. It would have been even better if someone he knew was here, but that was okay. He could always see them later.

[identity profile] denryoku.livejournal.com 2007-08-28 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Someone had to be active with that barbecue... or those barbecues, rather, as Narugami was oddly amazing while working with three different (and large) grills at the same time. He, as always, made food preparation amusing to watch, as he would toss the food into the air only to have it land perfectly on the grill.

"Hotdogs, hamburgers, shish kebabs!" he called out as he looked over each and every piece of meat that he was grilling. "Chicken breasts, thighs and legs; salmon, sausage!" There were plastic bags full of buns at his disposal, as well as a separate table he had set up with ketchup, mustard and other condiments one might need for grilling.

Narugami twirled tongs in his hands like they were guns and he happened to be in the Old West. He didn't mind wearing that white apron either. It was a sign of superiority in his eyes. "Step right up!"

The smell of food had wafted to teenagers nostrils, and damnit if he wasn't going to take advantage of this. He was still new to this mansion, and new to all of it's tricks and magic.

Let's just say that when Kazahaya spotted another boy cooking, he couldn't pass it up. Finally someone was cooking food, and it wasn't just appearing out of thin air like he had witnessed so many times.

He walked up to the other boy cooking, scratched his head, "Hey, those look really good." Kazahaya said looking at the display of meats. Carefully he considered his options before deciding, "Mind if I have a chicken breast and a hotdog?"

Little did Mihael know about the ghostly boy who had been following him for a while, keeping a distance to remain unseen.

Near hardly left his room - venturing outside in the middle of the night to attend a social event was too uncomfortable for someone like him. However, his curiosity about Mihael couldn't be ignored, and truth be told, he didn't fear death anymore. He'd welcome it, even.

So there he was, silently observing the blond's movements, hoping his presence would remain unnoticed.

The familiar lights and sounds of fireworks from Nuriko's window drew him outside almost immediately. Almost, because of course he had to be dressed properly first. He hadn't worn pink in a while, but it was more appropriate for a festive occasion.

The party had already started by the time Nuriko arrived, and the tables already had attracted a number of of residents. The food smelled delicious, but right now Nuriko wanted a quiet spot to watch the fireworks. Just a little bit of nostalgia, then he could join the others and maybe get better acquainted with some of them.

Loz somehow managed to get himself separated from Yazoo and Kadaj. Not favorable. Sure, maybe he got a little over eager looking for Big Bro, but jeez.

He grumbles. He doesn't WANT to ask for help, but doesn't have a choice. There's too many damned people here to see them properly.

"Hey! Miss!" he calls out obliviously to Nuriko.

Had he been to the beach before? Leon couldn't really remember (he didn't think so though). Either way, he was here now and he was at the beach. For a kid's birthday party (but were there drinks over there? Oh what a world, what a world). At first, the agent wasn't really going to go, but he figured that he could use the opportunity to relax. Maybe get acquainted with more people. Who knew really?

Besides, he knew he would have at least a couple people he knew here. He asked them to come, after all. He turned around to face them.

Ada Wong and Walter Sullivan. Leon smiled a little, shrugging, "Guess we just have fun, guys."

[identity profile] crazyhoboninja.livejournal.com 2007-08-29 07:32 am (UTC)(link)
Fun.

Walter mostly looks bewildered at the fireworks and the activity -- as if he's never seen this kind of thing before. His head tilts as he looks up, mesmerized by the sight of flashing lights and the sound of people laughing.

...Huh. What is this?

He blinks, not immediately responding to Leon. He turns his head eventually to look at him.

"How?" he asks honestly. He's never experienced something like this before.

This was her first time going out of the mansion and a party is a great way for meeting new friends! She makes her way through the mass of people, exploring the land and content on being just another face in the crowd. This party certainly beats parties from Britannia and the food is nice too!

Hopefully, she can meet new friends here...

A party? A casual, fun party like this? And there was no Zelos Wilder? That was no party! But, ohoho, Zelos Wilder was at the party, and guess who he wasn't with? All alone and no one to talk to, it seemed. That is, until he spotted a cute girl that distracted him from all else. She wasn't about to get away from him!

"Hey there," he greets, playing the suave stranger as he steps up to her. "I haven't seen you around long. You new here?"

It felt strange, to be honest. Things lately had been rather strange between himself and Kurogane. They hadn't been nearly as awful as they once were though, not by a long shot. Not since Fai had taken that step and admitted he didn't hate Kurogane. But now, now things felt almost awkward, at least to Fai. He was trying to go back to the nicknames he once used with Kurogane, but they almost didn't carry the same meaning anymore. They felt strange coming out of his throat, as though they were the words of someone else. It had been so long since Fai had allowed himself any kind of closeness to Kurogane, that simple things felt so foreign.

So, despite not knowing Yotsuba at all, Fai couldn't help but think that perhaps a party would help lighten the atmosphere between them, and a little social lubrication in the form on alcohol couldn't hurt either.

The fireworks illuminated Fai's face as he smiled and he peered over at Kurogane. " It looks like the party's already begun," he said, with a hint of laughter in his voice.

Fai couldn't be trusted to come back to the room... in his right mind. Or rather, he couldn't after a party where there was bound to be alcohol. At least not without an escort anyway. That was, Kurogane thought to himself, the only reason he was at a party like this, with the mage. As an escort (or possibly, if he was lucky enough, to dissuade him from getting a drink. Maybe, just maybe...).

Not that it wasn't a good party of course. 'Party' and 'Kurogane' just usually didn't go in the same sentence like that.

Just as a particularily bright gold firework went up and exploded into a hundred specks of light, the ninja replied with a curt nod, face pointed to the sky as another one went up and separated, though his gaze flickered downward though when the had blond spoken. It still seemed so... strange to hear him like that. Laughter. It wasn't a word he would have guessed to be associated with Fai a month ago. "Aa. I guess so."

And he still couldn't quite fathom why... whatever this was was happening. But he wouldn't ask, yet. At least not tonight. "We could go sit closer to the fireworks -- less people." He wasn't hungry, and food was out of the question for the other, meaning they could ignore that table. And if the gods were on Kurogane's side that night, maybe the one with the drinks could be bypassed as well...
