[ At least Ange is quick to catch on. Not at the first thing the other says, because it does sound very much like a Ryoko sort of thing. But the moment she uses the word "she", Ange knows. It's not actually Ryoko. Or not the one she knows, anyway.

It makes her look immediately slightly more exasperated, because dealing with Mirrors has never been a fun time in her experience. ]

You're the other one. [ Very tactful, Ange. Good job. ] So you don't have her kind of memory problems?

That's right. I don't have those problems. In fact, I've got a memory like an elephant and a mind like a steel trap. We're total opposites.

[Or at least that's how she's framing it.]

That's how most of you seem to be. [ The opposite of the "real" counterparts, she means. At least from what she's seen so far. ]

You aren't planning on causing trouble for her here, are you?

If I was, I probably wouldn't tell you.

[She's just being honest about that one.]

I'm not really like some of the others who are going to go around making a huge mess or anything like that. It's kind of lame, isn't it?

[She thinks so at least. Bunch of unpleasant psychos on her side of the glass, or at least there were.]

But I might mess with her a little bit, not a lot though since it's not like I really planned for this. Besides, it's difficult to fit something spontaneous in when somebody else is already causing trouble for her.

[ See, this is exactly why she doesn't like these mirrors! They're the wildest, most unpredictable bunch. And also love avoiding answering things and being cryptic. Somehow it feels like she's dealt with this kind of people before, although she can't really remember when or where. It makes her look slightly annoyed all the same. ]

What do you mean, "someone else"? You mean Wonderland itself? Because that's kind of causing trouble for all of us right now.

[She'll answer that one quickly enough.]

Don't get me wrong, it is causing trouble for everyone, even me. But that's not what I'm talking about at all. I'm talking about someone on this side of Wonderland.

[ Who could that be? Sure, there's a lot of weirdos around in Wonderland, but Ange didn't think there would be someone around who's actively causing trouble for other people..

She's not even sure if she'd get a straight answer from a Mirror, but whatever. She may as well try to ask, since there is some concern buried deep underneath her pokerface attitude. ]

Oh, that's an easy one. It's...

[And instead of answering, she does her best impression of Ryoko instead.]

Um...sorry, I was going to say their name, but I forgot who it was.

[And then she just cracks up at her own awfulness.]

Like I'd give that one away! No way! Especially if the people closest to her haven't figured it out yet. It takes all the fun out of it if you do that.

[ Ange just lets out a sigh. ]

I guess this is just about what I should have expected. You guys really like acting this way, don't you? [ Although what's extra annoying in this case is that Ryoko herself would have no idea about it either with her memory condition and all.. So she can't even just go ask the girl. What a pain. ]

Cryptic even when it looks like this whole place is about to collapse in on itself.

Hey, I'd be more cryptic otherwise. If there wasn't a void about to eat everyone, I don't think I would've mentioned there being somebody else. And I definitely wouldn't mention there being an extra person in Wonderland.

[Which she didn't mention before, but whatever.]

It's only because I'm stuck here and there's that void out there that I'm handing these crucial bits of vital information out. Because if Wonderland fell apart without anyone knowing...well, I wouldn't be in any condition to feel anything, but I'd be terribly upset about it if I could be.

[ Wait, an extra person? What's this, a detective novel? That sounds like Ange's literal murder mystery life back home. Although she's just going to file that information somewhere in the back of her head rather than pointing it out for now. ]

Oh, so you'd rather keep existing, even if it's in this sort of place?

I didn't exist until Wonderland, so if the choice is existing here or not, it's a pretty simple one. For me, at least.

I think it's a rather simple choice too, but I'd choose the other option.

[ Then again, she does know that Ryoko's Mirror's choice over here is the choice most people would make. Ange knows that she's not exactly the most typical person around when it comes to this. ]

Your situation isn't too different from mine, you know. I don't exist anymore outside of this place either.

Really? You'd rather stop existing?

[Not quite what she was expecting to hear and for the most part she doesn't entirely care, but she'll ask a little more about this. It might be interesting. Or might be a way to throw more hints around since it's not entirely irrelevant to the mirror's interest in the real Ryoko.]

[ She shrugs. ]

I'd be fine with it. Not all regular humans are the same, you know.

Yeah, but there's being different and being okay with being sucked into the void or whatever's going to happen.

[Because she really has no idea.]

I assume it's probably just going to be "sucked into the void". It looks like it's just reducing everything to nothing. [ Of course there's no way to be sure of that, but it's just the idea she gets from the way they can see it spread.

Somehow Ange manages to say it in an eerily calm way, like she's just talking about today's weather. ]

But in Wonderland there's usually nothing we can do about these kinds of things anyway. Either it'll disappear out of the blue after a while and we'll all be okay or it'll keep it up until we're all part of it.

Do you really think it could go back to normal? I've never been kicked out of my side like that. We might all be stuck here for good, or until it all falls apart.

[Not that something like that would be the worst thing. She's pretty sure she could make whatever time's left work unless Wonderland's going to fall apart in the next five minutes or something.]

Who knows. Even if it doesn't go back entirely to normal, there's no way this place would suddenly end up permanently destroyed, right?

[ It feels as if the border between this side and the mirror side had been eroding for a while now already, although she's never seen this happen to the mirrors.. ]

Why now after having been on the brink of it so many times only for it to be brought back as if nothing happened?

Great questions, but not ones I've got the answers to. But with the Core roaming around and the place looking more and more like a ghost town outside of the more recent returns, it's certainly a bit different than the usual everything goes to shit for a week and then it's business as usual again.

So you think this is it for real this time?

[ Not that Ange sounds concerned as she says it. Maybe there's a hint of curiosity, but that's all there is in her tone. ]

Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to that one but it certainly benefits me to treat it like it's real.

[She'll laugh a little there, if it's the end of days and all that, it certainly gives motivation to do things, but if it's not well, she can't undo them either and that has an appeal too.]
